A Few Observations

- Obama's spooks, Brennam, Comey and Clapper, were so focused on undermining Trump's bid for the White House; I wonder how many real intelligence jobs went undone or underdone?

- Back in the day when salt was as valuable as gold, a bag of potato chips might have cost as much as $100

- If the Clinton Foundation and Global Initiative were not money laundering operations, how come they have gone quiescent after Hillary is no longer a shoe-in for the presidency.

- How does the DOJ's Rod Rosenstein still have a job since it has been revealed that he illegally back-dated by weeks the authorization to break down Manafort's  door at 3 AM to search his home and arrest him?

- Why is Turkey still in MATO?

- When the Federal Reserve Bank's primary missions of full employment and a 2% inflation rate are met, as they are now, it would seem that the Fed could swing to helping our balance of payments strategies and lowering the cost of financing our national debt.

Emolument Clause

What is this controversial emoluments clause of the Constitution? Here is the verbatim text:

"No Tittle of Nobility shall be granted by the United States. And no person holding office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the consent of Congress, accept any present, Emolument, Office or Title of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State"

And what is an emolument? The best definition I can find is "a payment for work provided" or, let's be frank ... a payoff in excess of value provided. Now Trump is not doing any work for foreign governments, but some of his hotels, run by his sons, might be so doing. (If the Trump holdings were forced to sell its properties, it would lose billions of dollars.) And Trump has pledged that any profits gained by foreign dignitaries staying at his DC hotel will be turned over to our treasury. I believe that these safeguards are enough to pass Constitutional muster.

However, the Attorneys General of Maryland and DC are now suing President Trump for violating this emoluments clause of the Constitution ... see:Washington Post Article. This seems a waste of taxpayer monies by these partisan pols.

And does anyone believe that all the past donations to the Clinton Foundation ... for which they received nothing in return ... in anticipation of her being elected president were not only emoluments, but were freely-accepted bribes?

One last analogy -- if George Washington, during his term as president, had sold some wheat from his Mount Vernon estate to France, would he have violated this Constitutional stricture? I think not!

The Real James Comey

A little history on our fired formers head of the FBI:

James Comey and Marc Rich -- Marc Rich and his wife gave $550,000 to Clinton honey pots before he got a presidential pardon from Slick Willie ...  but Comey (the US Attorney in charge) could find no quid pro quo.

James Comey and Sandy Berger -- Comey broomed the case against Sandy Berger with a misdemeanor for his stealing and distroying secret documents from the National Archives that the Clintons wanted to disappear. Berger never went to jail.

James Comey and Valarie Plame/Scooter Libby --  Comey was instrumental in appointing  the Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald in this trumped up case. Scooter Libby eventually went to jail for lying to the FBI about the Valarie Plame CIA outing which Richard Armitage had actually done ... and was known in advance by Fitzgerald.

James Comey and "torture" -- Comey legally endorsed the Bush-era memo that OKed enhanced interrogation techniques including waterboarding.

James Comey and the Clinton Foundation -- Comey's brother is deeply involved in the Clinton Foundation finances. Any investigation of the Clinton Foundation would involve Comey's brother.

James Comey and Martha Stewart -- Under Comey's watch Martha Stewart was convicted of lying to the FBI and spend about a year in prison.

James Comey and Hillary Clinton -- Comey gave Hillarry and her henchpersons a bizarre pass on their multitude of crimes while she was SecState.

James Comey and HSBC  -- Comey got a $6.5 million wet kiss when he left the board of this sullied British bank. They had been accused of money laundering.

James Comey and Donald Trump -- You all know this one.

Payback for Playback

The Trump Inauguration Committee is asking for donations to pay for the festivities surrounding this January 20th event ... and has come under intense liberal criticism for these solicitations ... see: MSNBC Video ... claiming that this is "pay for play." This is to try to equate them to what the Clinton crime family did for many years with the Clinton Foundation. Therein they obviously gave considerable quid pro quo for generous donations to this "charity" that spent over 93% of its funds on non-charitable benefits to the Clintons and their hanger-ons.

What these liberal critics also neglect to mention is that every president for a long time (I can't get Google to give me a definite answer) has had these inauguration celebrations (parties, balls, entertainment, etc.) paid for with corporate and individual donations. This phony Democrat analogy and acerbic accusation by the "bitter slingers" that are on their way out of power in Washington ... tells me that they have learned nothing from their defeat. May they stay so oblivious for a long, long time.

Observations

Here are a few random observations that have occurred to me recently:

For a seventy-year old man, Donald Trump's energy level and range of activity has me in awe. If he can keep this up for four more years, we are in for a wild ride.

There is lots of current speculation about -- is Hellary going to run for president in 2020? The obvious answer is, because of her age and poor health, no. Yet I doubt that this will be the stated position of the Clinton crime family. Why? Because, if it was clear that she wasn't going to run, then who and why would the Clinton Foundation get any more pay-for-play donations?

I think that the number of candidates for Trump's Secretary of State has now risen to ten ... with John Huntsman name now being considered. Perhaps next, John Kerry?

My tongue-in-cheek solution to Donald Trump's conflict-of-interest problem with his vast property holdings around the world ... would be for Trump to put all these holdings in his own charitable foundation ... dedicated to the elimination of poverty in the Trump extended family ... to be run by his wife and children ... and maybe even John Podesta (he's looking for a job.)

I think the Democrat party is committing hari kari in two bone-headed steps. First, electing Nancy Pelosi to be minority leader in the House again ... and second, possibly electing the front-runner Keith Ellison to head the DNC. You might even add New York Senator Upchuck Schumer as the new Senate minority leader to this mix.

There is a fashionable trend now toward heavy black horn-rimmed glasses ... in an attempt to make the wearer appear smart and serious. To me, I think that instead it makes the wearers look silly and slavish.

Tough question: Is the hidden agenda of Planned Parenthood and the governments' poor attention to the rampant fatal gang violence in places like Chicago ... a socially-acceptable form of eugenics?

Pardon Me?

Trump's best line at the Catholic charities event a few weeks back was the one about Hellary bumping into him and saying, "Pardon me?" Now, she has lost the election and he is soon to be confronted with this choice. It is clear to most Americans that this woman is guilty of many serious transgressions. The aura of years of malfeasance hangs over her like that cloud of dust around Pigpen. She has skated through life ignoring all the ethical and legal boundaries and never really been punished for it ... except of course by losing two attempts at the presidency. But she has also been richly rewarded financially for her arrogant flaunting of our laws.

But is her punishment enough that she has been twice denied the big POTUS prize? This is the decision that Trump will have to make ... unless of course Obummer makes it for him ... which I consider quite unlikely ... due to his obsession with his legacy. Like always, Obummer prefers to let others do the dirty work. But even if this happens, I believe that the Clinton Foundation and its bevy of capos should be prosecuted with the full might of Trump's Justice Department and his IRS.

The question then presents itself ... what if Obummer doesn't let Hellary off the hook? My answer is simple. If Trump pardons her, then he will be sending a clarion message to his voters that he is (re)joining the Establishment ... the very people he opposed in this past election. As THE agent of change, showing mercy to this evil, evil woman  would be the Christan thing to do, but not the right thing to do. This past election was not just the Globalists versus the Nationalists ... it was also the Establishment against the crockery breakers, the Populists. Thus, a presidential pardon would also send too clear a message to future politicians that laws are for little people ...and Republican campaign promises are also will o' the wisp.

What Now?

About two weeks ago I offered here some tongue-in-the-cheek suggestions as to how to adjust to a Trump victory. Surprisingly, since this event actually did occur last night, I think I might reprise these suggestions here:

- Open a relo service to Canada and New Zealand 

- Go into the construction business along our southern border

- Make sure your dead uncle's vote was counted

- Cancel your subscription to the New York Times

- Buy coal company stocks

- Abandon writing a book on the Bush family 

- Buy deep-discounted Russian bonds

- Swear to your friends you voted for her

- Open a McDonald's franchise near the White House

- Get a job

- Rescind your pledge to contribute to the Clinton Foundation 

- Short Goldman Sachs stock

- Buy a gas guzzler

To this list I might also now add the following events:

- All the printers at the Clinton Foundation will run out of paper due to the slews of resumes being produced there

- A number of media members will change their professions

- A number of polling organizations will start selling Slurpees

- Huma Abedin will convert to Buddhism

- Hellary Clinton will start raising money for her Almost-Presidential Library

- FBI Director James Comey and Anthony Weiner will be put on suicide watches as notes to those ends have already been discovered

Since I recently penned a blog on the possibility of Trump winning, I have to be fair and offer suggestions in case he loses ... and his opponent, I think it is Hellary Clinton, wins:

- Everyone will be required to learn to speak Spanish

- The Clinton Foundation will absorb the Ford, Carnegie and Rockefeller Foundations

- Donald Trump will lose his IRS audit to the tune of $5 billion

- Michelle Obama, Cheryl Mills and Loretta Lynch will be named to the Supreme Court

- The Koran will replace the Gideon Bible in most hotel rooms

- Bernie Sanders will "buy" a villa on Lago Como

- John Podesta will head the State Dept., Sid Blumenthal, the CIA

- Most drug stocks will tank

- George Soros will buy Philip Morris and make cannabis-only cigarettes

- Mar a Largo will be shuttered for numerous sanitary violations

- The Summer White House will be located  next to the NY Presbyterian Hospital

- Paul Ryan will switch parties

- Bill Clinton will be put out to stud

- BB guns will be the only ones allowed ... but they can't be scary looking

What if Trump Wins?

On the off chance that The Donald wins on November 8th, here are some suggestions:
