Bad versus Dirty

No, this posting  is not about Stormy Daniels. It's about law enforcement.

Dirty cops are not the same as bad cops. Bad cops are depicted by the Black Lives Matter mob as out to kill young unarmed black men without cause ... based on the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" fiction coming out of the Ferguson, Missouri (justifiable) shooting of Michael Brown. Yes, there are some rogue cops but they are few and far between.

Dirty cops are much more dangerous and prevalent ... particularly at the FBI. They are the likes of the FBI's  original blackmailing and tone-setting director,  J. Edgar Hoover and, much later, its sanctimonious director, James Comey and his band of henchmen inside Obama's bureau (Strzok, McCabe, Orr, Page, etc.) who used the raw power of their positions to subvert honest law enforcement for political purposes. Truly sinister, corrupt and despicable ... and dirty.

Will the Trump administration and Congress be able to cleanse this agency of all this filth? If Jeff Sessions at the Justice Department  can pull this Aegean task off, they should rename the FBI building after him instead of Hoover.

Loyalty

Like any human, Trump has his share of flaws. One that is beginning to disturb me is the premium he places on the loyalty of his subordinates. He said recently that he admired Eric Holder for his unflinching loyalty to President Obama ... through thick and thin ... see: Business Insider Story. Now this offhand remark might be a consequence of the hounding he has been subjected to by the slow-motion coupe attempted by the gang of Hillary and the deep state, but it still suggests that Holder's participation in and cover-up of illegal activities is OK with The Donald because of Holder's extreme loyalty.

I suppose I might be too much of a purist, but when illegal activities are tolerated and swept under the carpet, then the possible severe consequences of these evil deeds can easily escalate into a holocaust ... as we saw in Germany just eighty years ago. Not only did Holder (and Loretta Lynch) likely brake the law out of loyalty, but the miasma that arose from these misfeasances has tainted the Justice Department for years to come.

So please, President Trump, give us peons at least the notion that things will be on the up and up during your time in the White House. And give Jeff Sessions a pat on the back for trying to do the right thing as out chief law enforcer. Perhaps his recusal example might cause our next AG to also do the honorable thing when the stakes might be even higher. President Trump, if your nose is clean in this Russian matter, I believe that the American people will see through any attempt to run you out of town on a rail. They did somehow know to elect you over that much bigger danger.

Moore or Less

I smell a rat. The Washington Post has published a story, probably with the winking assent of Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Mitt Romney  and a phalanx of other establishment Republicans, designed to take down Judge Roy Moore, Republican candidate for the Senate to replace Jeff Sessions in an Alabama special election ... read it here: WaPo Expose. And, in the process, Steve Bannon would also be neutered ... not something that would bring tears to many in the swamp. This late-hour expose of alleged "inappropriate sexual touching" is clearly of malicious intent ... as such ephemeral attacks are favorites of the liberal media in the last days of a campaign ... so that there is no time to counteract the damage done.

Now, malicious intent is but one part of building a libel case against a public official, the other being veracity. And it is very difficult to determine veracity with such a short time left until the election ... more evidence of the insidious nature of this expose. Are these charges true, that Roy Moore touched a 14-year old girl on top of her bra and had her touch him on top of his underpants 39 years ago? John McCain thinks that the seriousness of this charge should disqualify Judge Moore outright. (Ironic since McCain was subject to this same kind of smear by the New York Times in the last minutes of his presidential campaign against Barack Obama.)

Nowhere in its expose does the WaPo equivocate or use the term "alleged" in its accusations. No, it implies, "It is indeed a fact because we say so ... even though these things occurred so very long ago." Could this woman and the other three minor minor accusers be lying?  Might their memories be colored by politics or thoughts of notoriety? You bet your grits.

So, if I were an Alabama voter, what would I do? I think that I, also being a past modest sinner, would ignore the Washington Post likely libelous story. In fact, I might even cast my vote for Judge Moore as a protest against this type of last-minute smear. If a rapist can stay on as president, maybe it's time an almost pederast can be a senator.

And I honestly believe that if our libel laws were stricter, say like they are in England, such political late-game gambits by the media might be somewhat rarer.

Afterward: The Massachusetts state legislature is considering reducing the age of consent here to 14. I suspect this political scandal might delay this piece of insanity.

Angels and Devils

Robert Mueller is no angel and Donald Trump is no devil. This slow motion coup against our current president seems orchestrated by the Clinton crime family as compensation for Hillary's second screw-up. This coup is being led by the Special Counsel Robert Mueller who was appointed by the DOJ second in charge, Ron Rosenstein, after AG Jeff Sessions recused himself. The supposed subject of Mueller's investigation is Russian collusion with the Trump team in last year's election ... although this impetus seems to have been sidetracked.

Now, we find that there is an FBI informant who is trying to be heard about actual Russian collusion, corruption and money laundering surrounding America's strategic stockpile of uranium ... the necessary ingredient in Iran's and North Korea's nuclear weapons ... they both being in short supply of same. This FBI informant has not till now been heard of because Obama's first AG, Eric Holder threatened to fine and jail him if he did.

The information that he has to offer is slowly being leaked ... primarily about how 20% of U.S. uranium, in the form of the company Uranium One, is no under Russian control after a series of cute moves by the Obamaistas. It seems that there were a series of donations by Russian oligarchs to the Clinton Foundation totaling $145 million, plus at least a million dollars paid to Bill Clinton for two short speeches to Russian financial institutions. In return, the strategic-transfer advisory board, which passed on this sale of Uranium One to Russia, was headed  by Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Who else was on this board you ask?

Why Eric Holder, Robert Mueller, Ron Rosenstein and a few others. It seems to this observer that this was the real Russian collusion ... and validates an old head-fake warning -- anytime the Democrats accuse the Republicans of something, the chances are that they are doing it themselves. Exactly who are the angels and devils in this political passion play?

For its first attempt to whitewash this potential scandal see: Washington Post Story.

This story is not over ... not by a long shot. That is, unless this FBI informant is silenced by a long shot.

Crocodile Coitus

When he was running for president, Donald Trump promised to "drain the swamp." Now that he is in the DC quagmire he has found it difficult not being intimate with some of its creatures. He has given the Secretary of Transportation job to Senator McConnell's wife, delayed building the promised Mexican wall, failed to deliver an Obamacare repeal, conceded to codify the DACA program and now endorsed an establishment Republican to replace Jeff Sessions in the Senate ... see: Breitbart Article.

This is not a total capitulation for the vast majority of his actions have been swamp-draining. But, being pragmatic after his first nine bloody months, Trump is slowly finding it easier to let some of the denizens in Washington have their way with him if he hopes to get his more significant agenda done. He better be careful however ... his voters are watching this X-rated movie.

A Political Chimera

Headline: Democrats say they agreed to make a DACA deal with Trump -- without the border wall ... see: CNBC Story. I fill up my pipe and dream the following:

- Establishment Republicans want a DACA deal and no border wall

- Democrats want a DACA deal and no border wall

- Populist Americans want a border wall before any DACA deal

- Trump gets a bipartisan DACA deal through Congress but no border wall

- Populist Americans abandon Trump in droves ... meaning no likely re-election in 2020

- Democrats have no real message or candidate for 2020

- Trump switches to the Democrat party and runs in 2020 with the backing of Democrats and establishment Republicans. Crooked Hillary is his running mate.

- Steve Bannon opposes him as the candidate from the newly-formed Populist party. Jeff Session is his running mate.

- Steve Bannon wins the presidency in a landslide and gets a majority in both houses of Congress with primaried Republicans and some Democrats who have switched to the Populist party.

- Construction begins on the border wall

- Fully half of Hollywood moves to Canada

Bum's Rush

Jeff Sessions is a liar. He lied during his AG confirmation hearings about meeting with Russian officials. He not only needs to recuse himself from any investigation into Russian hacking into the presidential election ... he needs to immediately resign. In fact, like often happened in Nazi Germany, he should be put in a locked room with a loaded Luger with the obvious expectation. And then tomorrow Obama's shadow government can commence impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump for a variety of treasonous charges that Maxine Waters has been unable yet to specify. The American people demand justice and we cannot cotton the obvious corruption that has surrounded Hillary Clinton's defeat. Vladimir Putin not only abetted Trump's nefariousness campaign, but his agents hacked into the actual election to insure a Trump victory.

These charges are so serious that they don't even need to be proven. In fact Trump and his close associates need to prove that Russia didn't subvert this past election. It is obvious to the Washington Post, CNN, the New York Times, MSNBC and all the major TV networks, therefore it is indisputable that Donald Trump is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors. Although they can't say exactly what these charges are, this doesn't excuse things. Trump and his inner circle needs to prove that Russia did not insure his November victory. How they might prove this negative is unclear ... even more reason for their shame.

There used to be a term for this kind of bar room justice ... it was called the "bum's rush."

Up Chuck

That consummate chowderhead, Harry Reid, the former minority leader of the Senate has been replaced by a slightly less vile Chuck Schumer, Senator from New York and supposed friend of our President Elect, Donald Trump. Chuckie has wasted no time in marking his territory with leg-lifting pronouncements ... Supreme Court nominees will be filibustered ... Jeff Sessions is in for a rough and tumble confirmation hearings for Attorney General ... and, as is his style, Schumer will cram the upcoming news cycles with his metro-macho pressers challenging anything that strikes his lefty fancy.

However, Harry Reid already defanged Schumer when he stupidly changed the Senate rules to allow simple-majority votes for confirmations of all court and administration appointments except the Supreme Court. In other words Trump can have his way with Schumer with the kind assistance of the majority leader Mitch McConnell. Yes, filling the empty Supreme Court seat might be a little more difficult ... but, if Trump nominates Ted Cruz, I suspect he will be confirmed overnight. The entire Senate would be thrilled to be rid of him.

And given the number of Senate Democrats up for re-election from red states in 2018, this body might well be filibuster-proof then. At this point, up-Chuck would be as redundant as another Obummer post White House private home (they now have five).

Anchor Babies

You've heard the liberal talking points ... you can' deport 11-12 million illegal aliens ... it would cost trillions of dollars to do so ... how are you going to overturn the Constitution? (Not that we haven't done this in the past.) These shibboleths are just a bunch of hogwash. We can indeed fix our illegal immigration problem if we have the spine to do it.

Donald Trump was confronted with a reporter's hostile question at the Iowa State Fair Monday about the high cost of deporting all the illegal aliens. His answer was, as usual, right on point ... "What does it cost us not to deport them. We either have a nation or we don't have a nation." As it turns out there is a recent analysis on what it actually might cost to round up and deport some 11-12 million illegal aliens (CNBC calls them "undocumented workers" ... we should only hope that they all are working). The number arrived at was 5 to 15 billion dollars a year over a twenty year period ... see: a somewhat slanted  CNBC Article. To me 10 billion dollars a year is a mere pittance ... a rounding error in the United States' $3.8 trillion annual budget.

I further suggest that it is vital we start these deportations with the dangerous criminals ... and leave the ones with verifiable jobs and families to the latter years. In between here would be my rough priorities in terms of who gets booted out ... gang members and small-time criminals with multiple misdemeanors ... those granted amnesty fraudulently  ... illegals from terrorist nations ... aliens carrying false or multiple identities ... the mentally unstable ... people on welfare or who have come here to drop anchor babies ... and, finally, non-core family members of illegals. But I might make an exception for illegals who have served in our armed forces for two or more years and who have been honorably discharged.

And Donald Trump's (actually Jeff Session's) suggestion on how to pay for these deportations ... with a tax on the $123 billion of remittances that aliens send home every year ... makes enormous sense ... see: Business Insider Story.  A 5% tax should do it.

Fault Line

I've written before on Obamatrade (see: Trust Me), but now, as more and more of the details of this Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact leak out, I am getting very chary about this pact (really a treaty) and how the Obama administration is attempting another end-run around the U.S. Constitution. Heroic Senator Jeff Sessions, unlike many of his Senate-mates, has read this bill and is revealing enough of its onerous details to cause many second thoughts on this fast-track authority that the administration is seeking ... you really should read about his revelations ... see: Breitbart Story.

In fact, Obamatrade might well be the fault line in the Republican field of candidates for the presidential nomination in 2016. Unfortunately, my favorite candidate, Marco Rubio seems once again to be on the wrong side of this geographic schism ... just like he originally was on immigration ... as part of the Senator Chuck Schumer-led Gang of Eight. Also on the wrong side of this issue are Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Ted Cruz and presidential contenders Jeb Bush and Rick Perry. Against this ultra-secret deal are Senator Rand Paul, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, Dr. Ben Carson, Bobby Jindal and Donald Trump. Both Senators Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio voted to authorize this partnership without reading its details.

On the Democrat side, Hillary Clinton favors this legislation while Martin O'Malley and Senator Bernie Sanders oppose it.

This week the House of Representatives takes up this bill and, heaven forbid, if they pass it, President Obama will be one step closer to an absolute monarchy ... perhaps, with a more trustworthy president, this partnership wouldn't be so dangerous. (Representative Paul Ryan has already indicated that he is for this bill.) I just hope enough other representatives take the time to read this bill (or talk to Senator Sessions) before they cast their votes.

No Moral Compass?

The Barry's recent spending cuts proposal has been analyzed by Jeff Sessions in the Senate and ... surprise, surprise ... it contains no net cuts to actual federal spending.  Under Obama's proposal, the federal deficit would balloon back above $1 trillion in fiscal 2012.  It is all accounting legerdemain (see: Powerline Reprise) clearly designed to raise taxes and fool the gullible public.  How can a President continue to try to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people?  Has he no feelings for the fate of his fellow countrymen?  Has he no moral compass?  Is he after all just a cynical Chicago thug politician who will try to take advantage of every crisis to further his own political agenda ... even though it might help ruin his own country?

The very sad fact is ...  it appears so.
