The Big Picture

I’m guessing that the riots now in many major US cities have evolved and no longer have everything to do with George Floyd’s murder ... OK, a little bit, at least symbolically ... but these are also uprisings spawned by anger over the virus lockdowns, our huge levels of unemployment, Bernie Sanders not getting the Democrat nomination, the Left realizing that they have a loser in Joe Biden, President Trump once again escaping the Deep State and the media’s drumbeat attempts to take him down ... and a venomous vitriol in the far-left (ANTIFA, Black Lives Matter, etc.) for the US and our institutions.

(Of course, breaking things and lots of free stuff also helps.)

GOP Lives Matter

When a black hoodlum tried to grab a Ferguson, MO policeman’s gun and got shot and killed in the process, a nationwide movement, Black Lives Matter, got spawned. This follow-on was unjustified and sinister because it destroyed the life of a good cop ... and made many police officers around the country to back off doing their jobs ... and even  lose their lives in the process.

But a bunch of bad cops in the FBI and Justice Department did not kill members of Trump’s campaign ... but they sure tried to destroy their lives. You know many of the names of these bad cops: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Sally Yates, Bruce Ohr, James Baker ... and now a new bad cop’s malfeasance leaked this past week in the New York Times, Kevin Clinesmith (name revealed on Conservative Treehouse blog.)

Although then unnamed, this FBI lawyer’s nefarious activities in preparing the fake applications to the FISA court to spy on Trump’s campaign might be rewarded with a criminal referral by the FBI’s IG Horowitz when he files his 500-page report on this key piece of the Deep State cabal on December 9th.

Obviously this NTT’s leak was designed to inoculate Clinesmith ahead of this report. And I fully expect that equivalent leaks will come out over the next three weeks about many of the above names ... and maybe more. This is meant to reduce the impact of Horowitz’s  findings. And the source of these leaks will likely be these bad actors themselves, whom have been given this information to review and dispute in advance. Of course, if these leaks could be traced and confirmed, these bad cops would be compounding their crimes.

So, dear readers, like the unjustified Ferguson BLM movement, should the Republicans, who have been slimed by this Deep State cabal, start a justified GOP Lives Matter movement in retaliation? That certainly would be fun!

Silly accusations of racism has driven one of the most charming movies of all times underground ... (now not available in the US) “The Song of theSouth” from the Walt Disney Studios ... before it became an ultra-PC bunch of wimps. Play the above vignette to get a taste of how beguiling this film really was ... with Uncle Remus and Br’er Rabbit ... and how it championed black culture and clearly did not derided it.

All we are allowed to taste of the black experience today is the hard edge of Gangsta Rap, Colin Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter. How very sad.

My Hat in the Ring

The presidential race is getting crowded on the Democrat side. Every day there seems a new candidate. It is possible that as many as 30 wanna-bes will be running in the 2020 primary. So why not? Today, I too will be declaring as a Social Media Socialist. My campaign slogan will be “pot in every chicken” and I promise that no one will go to bed unimpaired ... possibly hungry though.

I am seeking the endorsement of the Black Lives Matter Movement, #MeToo-ers, Maduro, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Chelsea Clinton, Vladimir Putin and the Harvard faculty. I also seek the support of the LGBs .. but not the Ts ... they are ruining women’s sports and crowding our restrooms.

I am starting a campaign finance committee headed by Anthony Weiner and a GoFundMe page. My monetary objective is two billion dollars or three bitcoins. I also promise a Green New Deal but with airplanes and hamburgers ... and without Brussels sprouts. If elected, I also promise to lock up every other politician and build a wall across the Canadian border ... and Trudeau will pay for it.

I realize I am a little old to be doing this, but then so are many of the other candidates. And besides, I think the world will end in only seven years. But I will pick a youngster as a running mate to compensate ... perhaps Weiner or Jussie Smollett?

I think the hat I am throwing in this presidential ring will be embroidered with MAAA — Make America Awful Again.

Woke

A few years back the Black Lives Matter movement coined the adjective “woke.” This argot meant “up with the struggle” (even if based on deception), generally the black struggle. Obviously this word’s derivation suggests it evolved from waking up ... and it has been adopted by the woke talking heads throughout the cable TV industry. It has become a badge of hipness.

This observer finds it curious that many of these woke talking heads are white ... presumably enjoying white privilege. Yet they feel compelled to appropriate this idiom to demonstrate their inclusive skills ... a possible indication of black privilege?  This borrowing is just one of many such cross pollinations over the recent decades. Perhaps there really is some amalgamation of our two Americas taking place.

Bad versus Dirty

No, this posting  is not about Stormy Daniels. It's about law enforcement.

Dirty cops are not the same as bad cops. Bad cops are depicted by the Black Lives Matter mob as out to kill young unarmed black men without cause ... based on the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" fiction coming out of the Ferguson, Missouri (justifiable) shooting of Michael Brown. Yes, there are some rogue cops but they are few and far between.

Dirty cops are much more dangerous and prevalent ... particularly at the FBI. They are the likes of the FBI's  original blackmailing and tone-setting director,  J. Edgar Hoover and, much later, its sanctimonious director, James Comey and his band of henchmen inside Obama's bureau (Strzok, McCabe, Orr, Page, etc.) who used the raw power of their positions to subvert honest law enforcement for political purposes. Truly sinister, corrupt and despicable ... and dirty.

Will the Trump administration and Congress be able to cleanse this agency of all this filth? If Jeff Sessions at the Justice Department  can pull this Aegean task off, they should rename the FBI building after him instead of Hoover.

Facts are Facts

Hands up, don't shoot

Heather McDonald has written a revealing article in the New York Post based on an FBI crime report that was just released on Monday ... see: New York Post Article. This expose debunks most of the emotional claims made by Black Lives Matter ... which, of course, are the basis of all these idiotic anthem protests in the NFL and elsewhere. Allow me here to recap a few of Ms. McDonald's key observations drawn from this FBI data:

- There were 7.881 black homicides in the U.S. in 2016 ... 900 more than in 2015 which. interestingly, was the same increase over 2014.

- There were 6.576 white and Hispanic homicides in 2016. This means that, although blacks represent only 13% of the U.S. population, they make up 55% of all homicide victims.

- Of these 7881 black homicides, 233 (2.9%) were killed by the police and, of these black homicides, only 16 were unarmed according to the Washington Post ...while the  remainder (93.1%) were armed and dangerous.

- In 2015 a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black man than an unarmed black man was to be killed by a police officer.

- Over the last decade, black men represented 42% of all police homicides, although they represented only 6% of the U.S. population.

From these disproportionate statistics, one can easily conclude that pretty much the entire premises of Black Lives Matter and those professional athletes' dishonoring of the United States, its anthem and its flag ... are hokum.

Circus Circus

In order to keep the populus appeased, the Romans offered bread and circus ... food and entertainment. This formula has been applied over and over through the ages ... including here in the United States where food stamps, free school lunchs and a myriad of other government programs are meant to combat hunger. On the entertainment front ... local, state and national governments give all types of incentives to sports teams to soothe their restless rabble ... tax breaks, stadium financial grants, promotional efforts, etc. within limits this is all very understandable.

However, now the circus part of this equation has become a real circus with these Black Lives Matter protests that have morphed into anti-government and anti-Trump silliness. In particular, the NFL and the NBA have become money machines for their respective owners ... yet they are still  dining at the government trough. Moreover, these leagues, with their protests and outspoken players, are haughty enough to now bite the hands that feed them. Perhaps ... no, not perhaps ... it is now time to eliminate all favorable local, state and federal fundings and tax breaks to these two plutocratic sports leagues ... at the very least.

Then perhaps the generous financial rewards proffered to their players might be "adjusted" downward to teach them a little humility and patriotism.
