Obama’s last Secretary of State, John F. Kerry, has a bit of a horse face ... which is appropriate considering he is a horse’s nether end. During his sad tenure his appeasement and payoff of Iran, his humiliation of Israel, his fake pushback against ISIS, his coddling of Palestinian terrorists ... almost everything he did in the Obama Cabinet was wrong ... clodishy wrong.

As an example of his ineptness the above video displays how very wrongheaded he was about the possibility of Mideast peace without first achieving a Palestinian two-state solution with Israel.

Given what Trump has recently accomplished with the Abraham Accords, accomplishing peace between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE, one would think Mr. Ed would slink back to his stable ... his face a bright red for flubbing his “hard reality.”

I might have added Ike to this painting ... and Nixon had he not resigned ... since his resignation has given us the blood lust with which much of the current media is infected.

I know, I know ... he covered up the Watergate break-in ... small potatoes compared to what the Obama administration did to Trump. But we forget ... he DID get us out of Vietnam, a nearly impossible task (something like Mideast peace.)

Yes, he would have been impeached and likely convicted in the Senate ... but our media might still be sane ... and we might be less timid about going after Hillary and Barack & Co.

But, then again, he opened up to China ... which turned out to be a disaster ... mainly because of what Bill Clinton, Bush 43 and Obama did and didn’t do.

Why?

A whole lot of people disliked President Obama ... for his apology tour, for his fake war against ISIS and the Taliban, for his stoking of our racial division, for his kowtowing to China and Russia, for his crony capitalism, for his pissing on Israel, for his funding Iran’s terrorism and nuclear ambitions, for his spending a trillion dollars on non “shovel-ready jobs,” for his attempt to kill our fossil-fuel industry, for his hollowing out of our military, for his attempt to take down his duly-elected successor, for his increasing our medical costs while reducing its quality, for his over regulation, for his multiple disruptions to our social norms, for his lackluster economic policies and for his general inatentiveness to his country’s progress.

Yet, we never ratched up our animus to anywhere near the white-hot hatred which has been directed toward the Orangeman by the left and the media (but I repeat myself) ... so, the question insists itself ... why?

Can you, kind readers, who find yourselves among the never-Trumpers, come up with a list of policy miscues for Trump that is anywhere near those posted above?

Again,, why the disparate hatred?

Had a conversation with a stock-savvy classmate on Monday. Asked him if he thought our stock markets were hitting record highs because the Wall Street pros thought Trump would win in November? His response was that it was more likely due to the enormous liquidity being pumped into our economy by the Federal Reserve Bank because of Covid. (Money has to be put to work somewhere.)

This is certainly likely ... since we saw this same stock market rise during the Obama administration due to about $10 trillion of liquidity injected during the Fed’s three phases of Quantitative Easing  ... combined with essentially zero interest rates.

Now that we effectively have zero interest rates back again, this is another inflator of stock prices. The prevailing interest rate is what one uses to discount the future corporate earnings stream to establish its stock price ... and forever zero rates thoeortically justify infinite stock prices. Calm down pilgrim ... it’s just theoretically ... we’re living in the real world ... and nothing is forever.

But, somehow I have to believe that if it becomes obvious  the Biden/Harris ticket will be clear winners (and the fake Indian as Treasury Secretary), we would not be hitting new stock market  highs ... more liquidity or not.

Crying Shame

The mask comes off as Barack Obama delivers his blatantly political eulogy at John Lewis’ funeral in Atlanta. He played a fistful of race cards to try to prop up his brain-dead Vice President by throwing red meat to this sympathetic audience ... trying to tear Trump down. It’s a crying shame ... this was supposed to be a solemn occasion ... yet this truculent man used it to hurl political mud balls.

Obama was elected president in part because he was to bring our country together. Here, he is shamelessly doing exactly the opposite ... only undisguised. Could he have gotten away with these racially divisive lies during his time in the White House?
