No! No! and No!

Obama’s last Secretary of State, John F. Kerry, has a bit of a horse face ... which is appropriate considering he is a horse’s nether end. During his sad tenure his appeasement and payoff of Iran, his humiliation of Israel, his fake pushback against ISIS, his coddling of Palestinian terrorists ... almost everything he did in the Obama Cabinet was wrong ... clodishy wrong.

As an example of his ineptness the above video displays how very wrongheaded he was about the possibility of Mideast peace without first achieving a Palestinian two-state solution with Israel.

Given what Trump has recently accomplished with the Abraham Accords, accomplishing peace between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE, one would think Mr. Ed would slink back to his stable ... his face a bright red for flubbing his “hard reality.”


STAND UP FOR AMERICA!

Red Line

In the presidential debate last night Hellary Clinton denied that she was Secretary of State when Obummer drew the "red line" with Syria. Well, as it turns out, Hellary ... surprise! surprise! ... lied ... as ske has frequently been known to do ... see: Politifact Revelation for the details.

I sometimes wonder if this woman ever tells the truth.

Both Ways

Hellary Clinton wants to have it both ways. She claims that her 2012 fall and resulting concussion fogged her memory in 26 key instances in her recent personal e-mail-server testimony to the FBI ... see: Details. Do these infirmities, which helped keep her bacon from the FBI fire, make her now unsuitable to carry the heavy responsibilities of the presidency? She related that she was told by her doctors in her last year as Secretary of State to only work a few hours a day. And we have seen, on her current campaign trail, she carries an extremely light schedule ... disappearing for days on end. Can such an enfeebled woman do a credible job as POTUS under such a workload constraint?

Of course, if she really does not have such health problems, then she should have been compelled to cooperate more fully with the FBI ... or be charged with obstructing justice? Which is it?

However, if she wins in November, we do know one thing she won't be doing with all her possible down time ,,, baking cookies!

Aunt Bee

Remember when Opie Taylor's Aunt Bee (Madeleine Notatalbright) was Secretary of State under Slick Willie ... perhaps I should rephrase that? Well anyway, she did vouch for her predator boss when he was accuses of sex crimes ... and she did recently say that there is a "special place in hell" for a woman who doesn't vote for this sex criminal's enabler, Hellery Clinton. And now this once diplomatic czar has said a very undiplomatic thing ... that e-mails never killed anyone. What? This pin-wearing pin-head said that "nobody is going to die because of what happened on e-mails"? See: Daily Caller Video.

Yes, Aunt Bee, just like books never killed anyone ... say like Mein Kampf or Das Kapital?

Border Walls

Our feckless Secretary of State, John F. Kerry (who briefly served in Vietnam), recently told the graduates of Northeastern University that they should be prepared to live in a borderless world ... for no wall can be built high enough to deter those terrorists who want to harm us ... see: Washington Examiner Article.

Yes, Gigolo John, you are correct ... but such a wall, combined with vigorous enforcement of our existing immigration laws, can significantly reduce the odds of such an occurrence. I guess that today's graduates can't understand this distinction.

Perhaps, John, we shouldn't have locks on our doors because some burglars can climb through our second floor windows ... or have bars on our jails because occasionally we lose a resourceful escapee?

We, in the United States, are now saddled with senior management who have an Utopian one-world view and are determined to implement this idiot ideology even if the vast majority of their countrymen disagree. This could easily be thought of as treasonous ... but, as anyone who has watched this Boston Brahmin's braggadocios career, this wouldn't be the first time he skipped across this red line.

How a man so stunningly stupid and duplicitous as Kerry can rise to the positions of power he has held causes one (me) to question our society's basic underpinnings. Possibly George W. Bush's greatest achievement was keeping this numbskull from "reporting for duty" at the White House.

Robert Frost had it right ... "Good fences make good neighbors."

Tortoise Justice

The Justice Department under Attorney General Loretta Lynch is slow-walking the investigation and possible prosecution of Hellery Clinton in the case involving her using a private e-mail server while she was Secretary of State ... for details see: Washington Post Story. Clearly, since Ms. Clinton is the presumptive nominee of the Democrat party for president, this case has enormous political implications and thus has caused unprecedented problems for this investigation.

As the onset of this imbroglio was last summer when it seems the FBI was first involved using many dozens of its agents, and, as such, a rational person would conclude that the FBI might have wrapped up this case by now, no? No! Obviously, no matter how cleverly our AG Lynch wordsmiths this issue, she is obviously kicking the legal can down the road ... hoping she can postpone things until after this November's election ... at which point it will go away ... for who's going to indict an elected president or punish the loser?

I'm sure our AG knows that old saw -- justice delayed is justice denied. Allow me my own shibboleth -- the dirty oil of politics doesn't mix with the pure water of justice. The people of the United States deserve better than this out of our tortoise-in-chief law-enforcement officer.

Skulduggery

Secretary of State John Kerry, mimicking his totalitarian boss has just unilaterally announced that the United States will legally admit 100,000 immigrants in 2017 ... see: New York Times Story. Wow! Go back and read this statement carefully ... it is designed to deceive. Is Kerry (who once served in Vietnam Nam) saying that we will just be admitting 100,000 immigrants of any stripe ... or 100,000 Muslim immigrants ... or 100,000 Syrian immigrants? Are these the total numbers or are they just the increases in the existing numbers?

Clearly, Kerry is purposely misleading the American press and the American people with these well-chosen weasel words. He is playing three-card Monte ... now you see the numbers, now you don't.

Well as it turns out. the United States already allows over 250,000 legal Muslim immigrants into this country every year ... and who knows how many more illegal ones are finding their way in  ... see: Breitbart Story. (Read this link if you don't believe me ... which I suspect many of you won't.) So whom are we to believe? That arm-waving bunko artist John Kerry? Or the official numbers as reported by our government?

Is this slight-of-hand skulduggery also how Hanoi John has negotiated our nuclear pact with Iraq ... and is attempting to sell it to Congress?

The Money Spigot

The Clinton Foundation has a large list of benefactors ... 181 at latest estimate ... all that occurred during Hillary Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State ... many giving enormous amounts, including the Gates Foundation, the Walton Foundation and Coca Cola ... see: Vox Listing for all the donors to this smelly "slush fund." What was the purpose of all this largess ... it clearly can't all be "for the children?" And since it has been reported that only 6% of the hundreds of million dollars of money that the Clinton Foundation received actually went directly for charitable purposes (see: Breitbart Article), there is even a greater appearance of how this foundation was operating on the far ethical edge during Hillary's term in Foggy Bottom ... and most likely still is.

When President Eisenhower left office, he warned ... in his farewell address to Congress ... of the military/industrial complex, This clearly has been supplanted by the government administration/charitable foundation complex ... not as short and snappy a phrase ... but probably far more insidious.

Skirmish on Women

Carly Fiorina is making noises like she is going to run for president under the Republican banner. She has been taking pot shots at Hillary Clinton for her lack of accomplishment as Secretary of State. In many ways this is easier for her to do than any male Republican since Hillary plays the victim with Oscar-winning aplomb.

In retaliation, the Clinton campaign has put out talking points questioning Ms. Fiorina's metrics as a politician and when she was the CEO of Heweitt Packard from 1999  through 2005 ... see: Real Clear Politics Video? Every time I have seen Ms. Fiorina interviewed on television (even on Fox), she has had to answer attacks along this same set of tracks.

One question ... are the Democrats now indulging in a war ... or even just a skirmish ... on women?

Let Me See ...

Hillary Clinton never sent any classified e-mails from her multiple personal accounts on her personal Chappaqua server ... but she did not have a secure government e-mail account ... therefore during her entire tenure as Secretary of State she never had to communicate with anyone over the Internet involving any classified material?

What's the term? Horsefeathers?

Echo Rocket

Most adults of a certain age remember John Kerry’s treasonous utterances in front of Congress after he had returned from his “heroic” six-month mission to Vietnam.  But what has also recently turned up are the ironically idiotic comments he made as a relatively new Senator when President Reagan proposed an anti-missile Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI … also derided as “Star Wars”) in 1986.  Here is the reference: CNS News Story.  But I would like to extract therefrom a few of his choicer words in light of how North Korea is now rattling its nuclear-armed-missile sword … and how we are in the process of deploying our (what is still an underdeveloped) anti-missile defense system:

“What we must do is deny this program [SDI] the funds that would enable this cancer on our nation's defense to grow any further,’”

“[SDI is] a dream based on an illusion.”

 “We must also recognize that we could never test a Star Wars system under realistic conditions until the moment of an all-out nuclear attack,”

“If Star Wars didn't work perfectly the very first time [the result] would be the destruction of our society.”

 “This is the time we must say 'no' to the president's [SDI] dream, a dream based on illusion, but one which could have real and terrible consequences,”

To bad these echoes of Kerry’s true character did not come up when he was being questioned prior to his recent confirmation as Secretary of State in that august chums’club called the Senate.  One would hope that, had this happened, Kerry would have at least blushed.

Head in the Clouds

William Bigelow, writing for the Breitbart news blog. has pretty much dissected John Kerry’s recent “head in the clouds” comments about the Israel-Palestine conflict.  In essence Kerry, while visiting Turkey,  nonsensically said that fixing this festering decades-long Middle East conflict is a precursor to solving the growing world-wide Islamic extremism issue. In his typical pontificating manner, our Secretary of State has re-iterated what is essentially the Obama administration’s implicit policy toward Israel (despite his protestations to the contrary when Obama recently visited there.)  This policy (as demonstrated by the President’s actions and not his words) is, “Israel is the roadblock to peace there and will need to relent and retreat if a “two-state solution” is ever to occur between Israel and the Palestine Authority.”

Kerry is extending this naive and simplistic solution outward to what is the very complicated and grave problem … that of Islam’s reawakened quest for a world-wide caliphate.  Unfortunately, this is the kind of simplistic thinking in which our State Department all too often dabbles.  But then, what can we expect from a man who has repeatedly condemned his own country on the world stage.

Testy Taster

A while back I wrote a blog entry about how President Obama couldn’t eat a lobster roll at a Republican lunch because he didn’t have his “taster” with him (see: Taster).  Since then I’ve got to thinking about what a strange and interesting job this would be. Imagine an employment where you are only considered useful when you keel over from strychnine poisoning? How about your year-end review? … “You didn’t find any poison … you will need to try harder next year.”  How is such a job recruited … by an ad on Craig’s List … or in the Pyongyang Daily?  Or perhaps it's that Secret Service schlub who was caught with the hooker down in Columbia … is he being forced into this duty?

How can a “taster” be identified … by a chef’s hat or perhaps carrying a big spoon?  What kind of benefits does it offer … particularly death benefits?  Why can’t this taster be some kind of scientist who performs a quick series of chemical tests on the meal in question?  Why must he/she actually swallow stuff?  This must be a pretty testy person who has to taste the President’s food.  Yes, he/she get to savor some pretty fancy vituals … until it’s over.  Then you can’t even write a tell-all best-seller book and retire.  Talk about your demeaning occupations … this has to be below flipping burgers … or even being our Secretary of State.

This whole thing smacks of a royal court … which our Presidency is resembling more and more.  Where are the jesters, the acrobats, the motley fool?  Oh, yes, we have Joe Biden ...

Irony of Ironies

Senator Robert Menendez (D, New Jersey) has been linked to sthupping three prostitutes in the Dominican Republic ... at least one of whom was underage, see The Daily Beast Story ... as well as some previous smarmy episodes. Despite the Senator's very vigorous vocal denials, the evidence is beginning to pile up ... next involving a Russian slattern ... see: Economic Policy Journal   Why you ask is this an irony of ironies?  Well, since John Kerry has just left the Senate to become Secretary of State, Senator Menendez has been named Chairman of the Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations ... bada-bing!

JFK

John Forbes Kerry has just been confirmed by the Senate as our new Secretary of State.  The blog, Diplomad, summarizes my despondent feelings toward this depressing development just about perfectly ... see The Diplomad 2.0.  I suppose, even with the figurative projectile retching I am now experiencing toward our new highest foreign policy representative, it is a step up from what we just had.

The Cover-up

Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) is complaining that he is being denied access to the survivors of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya on this past September 11^th ... in which four Americans died, including our Ambassador (see: Breitbart Story ).  He can’t even get the survivors’s names … or know exactly how many there were.  How can this be?  How can the complete story of what happened in Benghazi come out if our government is managing the news of this event so closely … even to the point of keep the survivors incognito for over three months?  We are obviously violating at least two fundamental rights of these survivors … to be known and to tell what they know?

There is only one easy answer to these questions.  There are things that must have occurred that night in Benghazi that are so embarrassing to this Administration that they need to squash the facts and any access to these facts.  In truth, even Susan Rice’s withdrawal from consideration as Secretary of State is probably part of this cover-up.  If Ambassador Rice were to be closely interrogated about Benghazi as part of her confirmation process, incriminating facts were very likely to have come out … which might open up new avenues of Congressional inquiry … and maybe even investigative reporting (gasp!.)  An insidious quilt of secrecy is being pulled over this Benghazi event which should be anathema to any clear-thinking American.

And, from what we learned about what happened to Nixon during Watergate, it’s not the crime that is so damaging … it is the cover-up.  And, like what happened in the early 1970’s, it may take a few years, but the public will eventually find out the truth.  And, considering the frantic efforts currently being made to thwart this investigation, I think the truth will likely be very devastating.

Pussyfoot

Foreign Policy magazine is respected as one of the premier sources for what is happening in international affairs.  It has just published a detailed account of  the Obama administration's position vis-a-vis Iranian sanctions ... and it is not pretty.  Please read it here and then return for a few comments from your blogger.

As you read, the Senate just passed an amendment to a National Defense Authorization Act with a 94-0 vote ... that imposes a series of harsher sanctions on Iran.  Democrat Senator Menendez of New Jersey, one sponsor of this amendment says, "The window is closing.  The time for the waiting game is over."  Yet our administration is opposed to these new sanctions based upon administrivia ... in other words, it continues to pussyfoot around in its dealings with Iran and the "existential threat"  posed by its nuclear ambitions.

What is, to me, more damaging in this article is that it also explains that the tough sanctions that were imposed on Iran last year (and which were bragged about by Obama in his debate with Romney)  grew out of another Senate action which was passed 100-0 and which this administration also opposed with equally appeasing language  Please reread the last paragraph in this article for more insight into what possibly is the real position of Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton on Iran.  To me it is obvious that, despite their rhetoric, they would not be unhappy when Iran finally acquires the bomb.  This is something that has been obvious to me for a long time.

One final thought -- last year the Senate vote for tougher sanctions was 100-0.   This year, the vote was 94-0.  I wonder if the six Senators who sat out this year's vote somehow are vying for the Secretary of State position?

The Sphinx

Just as the Obama administration stayed mute during the Iranian uprising in 2010 (see:New York Times Article) and, consequently, lost major leverage in its stated opposition to Iran’s developing nuclear weapons; it is again playing the silent Sphinx during the current uprising in Egypt where moderates and Coptic Christians are protesting the creation of another Iran-like caliphate there (see: Associated Press Article).  Contrast the White House's current silence with its megaphoning when the mobs were calling for former Egyptian President, Hosni Murabak's head.  Insiders (who seem to know)  are predicting that these newest protests will go nowhere and, before the Nile again floods in the Spring, Egypt will fade behind a radical-Islamic curtain. 

Although Administration apologists keep the narrative going that Mohammed Morsi, President of Egypt, really won’t effectively make the Muslim Brotherhood Egypt’s neo-Pharaohs, it is pretty clear to this author that our media are smoking hookahs … and, in very short order, Egypt will be even more despotic than it was under Murabak.  The only difference is that, now, Egypt will no longer be even a titular ally of the United States … and will be working diligently behind the scenes to destroy Israel.  This is clearly a foreign-policy catastrophe … and, to me, is another major blot on Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State (others … Syria, Benghazi, Afghanistan, North Korea, Iran, Israel, Mali, Russia, the Eurozone, etc.).  Yet, Hillary is as popular or more popular than ever … and is quite often predicted to be our next President.  Aargh!

Afterward: there are also rumors that, once this caliphate is established in Egypt, the Spinx will be blown up by the Muslim Brotherhood ... much like the historic huge standing Buddha was blown up by the Taliban in Afghanistan a decade or so ago.

Rice-a-Roni

Current rumor has it that the new Obama administration will keep Eric Holder on as Attorney General (UGH!), appoint John Kerry as Secretary of Defense (GASP!), and nominate Susan Rice as Secretary of State (SHIVER!) This is clearly what The Chosen One was talking about when he labeled this recent election as one of revenge.

Three Senators, John McCain, Linsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte, indicated today that our U.N. Ambassador, Susan Rice, was an unacceptable choice and that they would oppose her nomination based upon her avowals on five Sunday talk shows ... five days after the Benghazi attacks … where she claimed that they had been inspired by an anti-Islamic YouTube video.

In his first news conference in eight months, President Obama today sprang to Ms. Rice’s defense, saying that she was just "presenting" what the White House had told her was the best information they had on Benghazi at the time.

But wait … did not President Obama, in his second debate with Mitt Romney, say that he had stated in the Rose Garden the morning after the Benghazi attacks that they had been due to terrorism? (Which assertion was then too-conveniently attested to by the moderator, Candy Crowley.) I’m befuddled by how the Obama administration can keep these two diametrically-opposed narratives going simultaneously?

But I guess, when you are best friends with most of Hollywood, the Main Stream Media, the glamorous East-Coast glitterati, and the Pimp with the Limp, you can say and do almost anything … including appointing a clueless apparatchik as Secretary of State.

Hand Puppets

I still vividly remember our then Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright standing in front of the White House testifying for her boss, President Bill Clinton, in his avowal of “not having sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky, not a single time.” And then there was another of our Secretaries of State, Colin Powell, at the U.N. making the case for George W. Bush’s rationale for war with Iraq … that of its amassing of weapons of mass destruction. At least our current Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, had the good sense to send her underling, our U.N. Ambassador, Susan Rice, to do her dirty work by assuring the American public that the Libyans’s killing of our Ambassador there was spontaneous  ... see ABC News Story. (As John McCain has rightly pointed out, people don’t bring RPGs with them to a “demonstration.”)

So, over and over again, lower-level administrators of both parties have become hand puppets to their bosses and asked to attest to things of which they have little or no personal knowledge. Most often the result is their diminishment. (I even think this abasement has caused Colin Powell to switch political horses.) So, may I suggest, as soon as those of you in government see your bosses pull on those long, greased rubber gloves ... run, don’t walk, away for your lives and honor.
