I like the way W. Lewis Amselem (the Diplomad) thinks and writes. His latest blog post has a paragraph about the plight of blacks in America that hit home with me. Here it is:

“The progs have done what neither slavery nor segregation could: they have kept millions of black people as a permanent underclass to be exploited by the prog urban political machines. The progs get to decide who is black and who is a Fake black; they decide what political views black people can and cannot hold; which black "leaders" will emerge and get media time. An Experiment

Reading The Diplomad 2.0 today got me to thinking about his suggestion and about what we might do to stop the rash of school shootings. I think we should set up an experiment to see which of two approaches might work better to reduce this mayhem:

Experiment #1: Get rid of school (and other) gun-free zones. For the first ten years, permit and encourage any responsible and trained adult to carry a gun in our schools ... open-carry for any uniformed personnel and closed-carry for others -- teachers, coaches, etc.

Experiment #2: For the second ten years, return to a gun-free zone policy in our schools but totally ban anyone from purchasing semi-automatic military-style rifles or their ammunition.

Comparing the results over this 20-year period should tell us which policy to go with long term. I strongly suspect that this second decade test would not be necessary.

Rigorous vs. Extreme Vetting

Anyone who was awake for the last 8 years had learned to take what the Obama administration claimed with a mountain of salt. And so I always disbelieved their claim that refugees being admitted to our country had been subjected to rigorous vetting which usually took two years. My suspicions were particularly raised when, in the last year of his presidency, thousands of Syrians were brought to America by Obama ... a lot faster than so many could have been passed through such a screening process.

So when I read the following comment on the The Diplomad 2.0 blog from someone who had been in the diplomatic corps and who knew this vetting process first hand ... my (like Trump's) doubts were confirmed. The below description came from the above blog entry referenced:

We have no idea who these "refugees" are. They rip up their passports before they arrive in friendly countries so we cannot verify their identities; they lie about their ages to take advantage of more lenient terms for minors (I read about refugees settled in UK, Netherlands, and Scandinavia and elsewhere who entered as minors who were found to be in their 20s, some in their 30s and even one guy they think is 46!). They are not poor women and children. Over 85% are single, young males. There is NO extreme vetting taking place -- I know from being the refugee officer overseeing resettlement of Iraqi refugees that the NGOs/contractors that are in charge of screening the people are prone to being co-opted. I found out that they were re-opening cases that had been determined to have "no credible fear of persecution" and changing the stories so they could qualify. It gets around real quick which stories work. I also personally heard UN High Commission for Refugees staff admit that they helped refugees obtain fake passports. The Somali who recently shot up someplace in the US. UN refugee rules say that once a refugee has reached a "safe haven country" that they must stay there unless and until they are offered permanent resettlement in a 3rd country. The Somali guy and his family were resettled in Pakistan and had been living there for 5 or 7 years. He should NEVER have been eligible to be resettled in the US. 

My bottom line is -- no more refugees until the Arab nations resettle as many as westerns countries and until every idiot protesting the "injustice!!!" hosts at least 1 refugee in their own home, and the Hollywood folks have to take 10 each (their houses are plenty big).

Too Much Truth

H. Lewis Amselem (The Diplomad) has written a takedown of Hellary Clinton that every thinking American voter should read before they are tempted to pull the lever for her on November 8th. It is written in the form of a speech that he would like Donald Trump to give. Unfortunately, the Diplomad writes in a different style and for a different audience from Trump ... more like you and me ... so Trump is unlikely to use this bit of ghost writing. However, you can still imagine him overloading us with these eloquent truths to help us appreciate our choices more clearly ... see: The Diplomad Blog. Or better yet, read it below. It is so rich with reality, you might want to read it in digestible morsels. I don't think Mr. Amselem would mind my reproducing it here:

Ladies, Gentlemen, Basement Dwellers, Irredeemables, and Deplorables All,

On November 8, you and I will vote for President and Congress. We will be joined on that day by thousands upon thousands of dead Democrats and illegal aliens, so make sure you turn out to cancel the massive fraud that the Democrats are planning. Let's make sure that the voice we hear is of US citizens, alive today but concerned about the tomorrow they leave their children. We don't want America to be like the USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, or Detroit. All examples of where the path of progressivism leads.

We have an opponent who distorts and brings up incidents from my past as a businessman, such as occasional failures from among the thousands of efforts I have made to invest, to grow the wealth of my companies, and to employ thousands of people and give them good salaries and opportunities for advancement. We have an opponent who claims to have been "dead broke" when she and her husband left the White House. She doesn't mention why they were "dead broke." They spent a fortune on lawyers combatting the scandals of the Clinton years in power.

Well, she is certainly not "dead broke" anymore.

She and her husband are worth perhaps hundreds of millions of dollars. Where are the Clinton factories, retail outlets, hotels, and skyscrapers that provide employment and tax revenues? Don't exist. They got rich in the classic crony capitalist way of the beltway bandit. Hillary and Bill Clinton received fabulous sums for speeches to fat cats on Wall Street and abroad. On Hillary's speeches, what's amazing is that in this era of leaks and hacks and covert IPhone recordings, nobody has seen or heard those speeches. What did she say? To whom? All nonsense, of course. It was just the classic Clinton "pay-to-play" scheme. What could Hillary Clinton have to say of such value to Goldman Sachs that they would pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to hear her give a dull thirty minute talk? How about this? Don't worry guys when I get into power I will take care of you. And the compliant media goes along.

We have an opponent who promises all sorts of things, well, that is when she's not insulting those who oppose her. She says she is for women. Really? What's her record? I'll tell you what it is: it is one of demonizing and trying to destroy women whose only crime was to tell the truth of how they had been abused by her husband. That's her record. And the compliant media goes along.

In every policy area she addresses, we must ask, well, while you were in power what did you do about that? Nothing is what she did. Nothing. She has spent almost three decades roaming the corridors of power and has nothing to show for it --- except for hundreds of millions of dollars and a very nice walled compound in Chappaqua. It has a very nice wall. I might use it as a model for another wall.

She says she is for African-Americans and Hispanics. Really? Is that what her record shows? Not at all. She has never questioned the Democratic party policies that have led to the destruction of Detroit and so many other great American cities. She has never questioned the policies that have led to the crumbling schools to which residents, overwhelmingly African-America, of those cities are forced to send their children. She has never expressed concern about the thousands of black kids killed in Chicago by gangs. No, instead, she called black kids, "Super Predators." She has a habit of putting people into baskets, Deplorables, Basement Dwellers, Super Predators.

And Hispanics? Guess what? She doesn't care about you either--except on November 8. Don't forget this was the person who was Secretary of State when Obama declared a covert war on the people of Mexico with "Operation Fast and Furious." The administration illegally shipped thousands of guns to drug cartels, killing hundreds of innocent Mexicans, not to mention at least two US federal agents. Even the drug lord El Chapo got a .50 caliber rifle from Obama. Did our Secretary of State ever speak up? Did she raise an objection to this illegal and immoral policy? Did she apologize to Mexico? To the families of the dead US agents? No. Mexicans in Mexico can't vote for her, and our border agents won't either, so she doesn't care. And the compliant media goes along.

She has supported horrendous trade deals which have destroyed American jobs. She once called the disastrous TPP deal, the "gold standard" of trade deals and has been walking that back since the campaign began. She wants to put coal and oil workers out of work, and replace them with the sort of crony deals we saw in the Solyndra fiasco. 

Around the world, the interests of the United States and our allies are in collapse. Everywhere we look we are in retreat or defeat. NATO is a directionless shell. Our military is in severe decline. The policies of Obama and Clinton produced bloody chaos in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and, of course, in Libya. Her grotesque incompetence in Libya left our facilities in Benghazi exposed to the attack of--you guessed it--radical Islamic jihadis. A phrase she won't use. She will call you Deplorable, but she won't label the terrorists who killed our people in Benghazi, in Ft. Hood, in San Bernardino, in Orlando, and so many other places, what they are: radical Islamic jihadis. Instead she tried to get the radical Muslim Brotherhood into power in Egypt, and tried to prevent the Egyptian military and people from throwing them out. She has put Israel in mortal danger by pushing and supporting the insane nuclear deal with Iran in which we give them $150 billion in exchange for . . . well, nothing. She and Obama have helped Iran, the world's greatest state sponsor of terror, become a major regional power; Iran, which has sworn death to Israel and to America, is to be rewarded. I have not heard her talk about how Christians, Bahais, gays, and women are treated in Iran, or for that matter in many of the Muslim countries in the Middle East. Can't do that: It might get them to cut their donations to the corrupt Clinton Foundation. While she was Secretary of State she ran a "
pay to play" scheme in which donors to the Foundation got access to her. She so mismanaged the State Department that to this day, billions in aid for Haiti is still missing. And the compliant media goes along.

Her illegal and, yes, immoral use of a private server on which to conduct official State Department business has exposed our nation's secrets and, perhaps, even led to the death of an intelligence source. She even had exchanges with the President on this system, something which Obama had denied. So when I hear her talk about her concern for cybersecurity, I have to laugh. And the compliant media goes along.

Hillary Clinton and the Democrats don't want us to defend our borders or our sovereignty. They want endless numbers of people to pour in, unchecked, to pad the voter rolls, and become dependent on government largesse controlled, of course, by the Democratic party machine. They don't care about the impact these immigration and asylum polices have on the poor or the middle class. The Democrats need to have poor people. They thrive on misery. The know there is no way to vet the tens-of-thousands of Middle Eastern refugees. They don't care; one day they'll vote Democrat is the thinking.

Electing Hillary Clinton is re-electing a stagnant economy; it is re-electing the political use of the NSA, the FBI, the IRS, the EPA, and so many more of the Washington agencies. Electing her is a sure way to wipe out the second amendment and so many other of our rights. She wants the government involved in every aspect of your life and wants the government to take what you have earned not only while you are alive, but even after you're dead. It makes sense, I guess: a political party that famously uses the votes of dead people has no problem taxing the dead, too. And the compliant media goes along.

Reject the progressives and their effort to transform America into another failed socialist state. Vote for liberty; vote for a prosperous and free future. Make America Great Again!

Hellary vs. Hillary

I have been castigated by many for calling Hillary Clinton "Hellary" ... but I do believe I am justified in this moniker. This woman has two distinct personalities ,,, Dr. Jekyll and Mrs. Hyde if you will ... or her outside self and her inside self. Her outside self we all know and many love. It is her inside self, her Mrs. Hyde, that has been mostly hidden from public view. We have had a few hints of this dark side ... like her supposed swearing like a sailor or when she threw the ashtray at Bill in the White House or how her staff would hide in their offices when she came down the corridor or how her secret service detail considered this duty as punishment because of the shabby treatment she visited on them.

But I just came across a narrative of how she behaved after the Matt Lauer interview last week in which she was embarrassed with a few tough questions. This narrative came as a comment in the latest Diplomad blog posting and, if true, it is even frightening. You can see it in situ by going to Hill's Ill and reading the comment from Teri ... or, in case it gets scrubbed, I have reproduced her "inside" tirade after that Matt Lauer interview below:

Hillary’s meltdown included throwing a water glass at a staffer- narrowly missing her head, and demanding Matt Lauer be fired! She was overheard threatening executives at NBC saying “If I lose, we all go down and that Fascist Fuck will have us swinging from nooses! What the fuck is wrong with you idiots?” 

It is reported Hillary then screamed at everyone for close to an hour and staffers felt like she was having a “Hitler-like rage down”. 

Calls were made to New York Times, Washington Post and Huffington post and Twitter executives with orders to “Crush Matt Lauer”. As you can easily see with all the headlines from these puppet MSM sources, they are completely bought and paid for. 

Hillary also screamed that she wanted Matt taken off the October debate… Let’s see if that command is met. My bet is that it will be. 

Staffers at HRC campaign report that they scared of her, and one described Hillary as “an out of control psychopath”. 

Since Hillary does not allow any staff to have cell phones when she is there, no footage is available, but Hillary is in full frenzy now. She has made it clear that she wants Matt Lauer to be “persona non grata for the rest of his days on earth“. 

Donna Brazile was singled out by Hillary during the rant. Donna was told “You stare at the wall like a brain dead buffalo, while letting fucking Lauer get away with this betrayal? Get the fuck to work janitoring this mess- do I make myself clear???”

Is this a factual account? (I would love to know the original source or sources of this description.) My spider senses tell me that it is ... and that is why I have reproduced it here. It jibes with first-hand stories I have heard about the "inside" Hellary. It also reflects more decorous accounts of Hellary's dissatisfaction with the Matt Lauer interview such as this one in the Daily Mail.

If this woman is capable of this kind of rage with her subordinates ... yet is solicitous with her peers, her press and her public, then I believe she richly deserves my "Hellary" tag.

To the rear march! To the rear march! Remember that funny routine by Sargent Bilko ... where he has his troops in total disarray after a quick series of such idiotic commands. Well, the Diplomad has another precious piece describing "progressives" as typifying such Bilko-isms ... keeping its lefty lemmings off balance with it's ever-changing definition of good and evil. Again, this blog is very well written and right on the mark. (Some clever Hollywood or TV producer should give this former foreign-service worker a new career as a script-writer for a liberal comedy of manners. Or even The New Yorker might run a piece by him ... that would drive the left even more looney!)

Saint Anselem

In the light of the elections in Great Britain today, may I point you once again to a blog posting of W. Lewis Anselem (The DiploMad) ... see: The Greatest Threat to Europe. He is a conservative whose views are very often congruent with mine ... and, being a former diplomat, he also offers a bunch of inside-baseball facts that are fascinating.

However, one of his greatest strengths is just that he is a consummate writer.

Roots

The Diplomad, who has spent considerable time acting as our official representative in Muslim countries and can offer an unique perspective on same, has just written in his blog a reprise of our president's background ... investigating why Obama may have deep sympathies for the Muslim religion ... and thus be somewhat paralyzed to address its more violent tendencies ... see: Obama, a Muslim Hater of America?. Obama has even slipped into saying that he was a Muslim ... see: First Bing Video ... and has often extolled this faith to great lengths ... see: Second Bing Videos ... far further than his somewhat less enthusiastic treatment of Christianity (remember his National Prayer Breakfast slights?)

But what the Diplomad has left out of this tracing of Obama's roots is his possible relation with Bill Ayers' father, Thomas Ayers. Admittedly this relationship is somewhat fuzzy and speculative but it is worth a gander and some further study ... see: WND Article ... perhaps we'll see more in history books yet to be written. Also let us not forget that Obama's half brother, Malik Obama, is the international finance officer for the Muslim Brotherhood ... see: WND Article.

But there has to be some reason why our president is unable to separate the wheat from the chaff in the Islamic faith ... and this may well be the imprinting from his childhood ... augmented by the warped view, learned on his mother's knee, of the sins of the country he now leads.

Yankee Si, Cuba No

If you think I write diatribes on this blog, you ain’t seen nothing yet. President Obama’s “normalization” of relations with Cuba has stirred the juices of the Diplomad (W. Lewis Anselem) into writing two entries on his blog that not only take our president to task for his international policy blunderings toward our neighbor to the south, but also provides many interesting diplomatic insights regarding the Castro brothers and their evil, evil history. These first two installments from this seasoned, but retired U.S. diplomat are a little long, but should be read to gain a better perspective on what Obama is doing … or not doing. The Diplomad promises further writing on this subject which I will be sure to reconvey to you as they appear.
