House Managers

I don’t know about you, dear reader, but I am increasingly convinced that the Democrats’ imperial House managers for Trump’s Senate impeachment trial are exhibiting inflamed exhortations against President Trump in a rather repetitious and disingenuous way. Add soporific, staged and self-serving. Maybe also monotonous, misdirecting, melodramatic, mean, mendacious and malevolent. Bodacious, blatant and bilious. Droning, diabolical and dubious. Unconstitutional, unruly and unctuous. Treacherous and tedious. Rapacious and reptilian.

Legislative Fibrillation

A rapid irregular heartbeat is called cardiac fibrillation ... and it often precedes a heart attack or even death. The irregular and frenetic stunts emanating out of the House of Representatives of late, centering around Trump’s impeachment, put this observer in mind of legislative fibrillation.

The Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler tag team seems to be orchestrating a staccato disruption of the norms usually enjoyed on Capitol Hill ... with the clear intent of emasculating our president ... using whatever weird and twisted tactics it takes ... a solemn sinister plot.

This unconstitutional and farcical finagling might well be presaging a heart attack for this Deep State cabal ... hopefully resulting in its figurative demise.

Rash

The mindless media has decreed that healthcare reform was the reason that Democrats won the House of Representatives in 2018. Balderdash! It was the Mueller investigation into Republican collusion with Russia in order to get Trump elected in 2016. This sham probe sullied the GOP enough to flip 31 House seats in districts that Trump had previously carried ... 41 in total.

Now the voters in these districts have learned that Mueller was merely a dotty figurehead in a huge Democrat hoax ... and many will also understand that Trump’s laughable impeachment is nothing more than Mueller warmed over — just another attempt to smear Republicans enough that Trump will not win against Biden. This is all a donkey wet dream.

Voters are often politically naive but not that naive. The Republicans will not only win back the vast majority of the House seats that they lost in 2018, but they will carry many more ... to easily take back the House ... expand their lead in the Senate ... and the Orangeman may even win the popular vote.

I realize that these are rather rash predictions a year out from the actual election ... but this rash is itchy and I am compelled to scratch it.

Plenary Powers

The majority party in the House has “plenary powers.” This means that they can set the rules ... any rules they want ... fair or unfair. Depending upon how Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff wield these plenary powers in the upcoming Impeachment Inquiry public hearings will be the touchstone for the American public.

A perfect test of Democrat fairness will be which Republican-preferred witnesses Schiff allows to be called. And any that he disallows might (should) be allowed when this process moves to the House Judiciary Committee for an actual impeachment vote. And MUST be allowed if this process moves to the Senate for a trial.

Be careful Dems!

Afterward: Good reason that the Dems might not, in the end, vote for impeachment ... or even move this kangaroo process to the House Judiciary Committee ... hoping that Schiff can damage Trump enough in the Intelligence Committee to ruin his chances for re-election. See: Witness List Request.

Bubble Brain

I've often thought that nobody should be allowed to vote unless they can name the three branches of our government (legislative, executive and judicial), Now, newly-elected New York City Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has exhibited stunning ignorance of even this simple fact. She thinks this answer is the "the president, the Senate and the House" (her new venue). If you don't believe me, please watch: Daily Wire News Video.

Now this 29-year-old new Representative has gone from being a Bronx bartender to a $175,000 per year gig helping to guide our ship of state. She has a cum laude degree in economics from Boston University and has promised her equally-clueless voters free healthcare, free housing, free college and just about free everything else ... without any clear idea of how to pay for this largess. (She also wants to eliminate the Columbus Day holiday.)

She clearly is a babbling bubbling brain ... naive as to what she is getting into. Unfortunately, she is not by herself in that reform school under the dome in Washington, DC.

Afterthought: However, one bright spot -- she is against the NYC tax giveaway to Amazon!

After afterthought:

Folk Logic

"Too big for one's britches" -- I love this bit of folk logic ... describing someone whose ego is so large that it is making the decisions. This Roy Moore imbroglio has exposed hundreds with this puffed-up malady... John McCain, Mitch McConnell, the Washington Post, the RNC, Mitt Romney and most of the stage prancers in Washington. The only rational voice in all this cacophony of phonies is Pat Buchanan who says, "Let the people of Alabama decide."

This is a sensible solution to a nonsensical situation. When there is a he-said, she-said stand-off, I don't believe that it should be resolved by the hysterical national media ... particularly a media so obviously biased. The people of Alabama know Judge Roy Moore and, if they want him as their senator, then the rest of the swamp should shut up and say, "So be it."

The Harvey Weinstein revelations have unleashed a firestorm of copycat accusations ... most, likely true, but some opportunistic. Human nature being what it is, sex is always the imp hiding in many garden parties. This imp can be malignant as in the Harvey Weinstein case ... or just coquettish ... which is to suggest that this imp is not always male.

I have no idea where on the spectrum of sexual by-play Roy Moore's actions fell all those many decades ago ... nor, truthfully, does the Washington Post nor Mitch McConnell ... nor certainly  Sean Hannity's advertisers. So why not let the people of Alabama ... the ones who know him best ... decide if Judge Moore is too big for his britches?
