A friend is on a prime tour of the Galapagos Islands and was on a group Zoom call today … and am I envious.
Anyhow, during our conversation, he related how the tour guides have indicated that new species of birds and seals are invading the area because of global warming.
My quick question to him was…. these islands are smack on the equator and therefore must be warmer than areas either south or north from there. Ergo, if new species are moving in, it must be because things there are getting cooler not warmer.
