With their sanctuary cities, voter-fraud denials and other hate-your-country policies, American liberals have often coddled what were once cuddly pussy-cat policies which have now grown into dangerous feral felines.

Pig in a Poke

Many liberal Americans have rationalized next voting for Biden, a man one step out of the Memory Unit at the rest home, by saying, “he will have good people around him.” I don’t know, but isn’t this a lot like buying a pig in a poke?

Trump’s Pressers

Liberals are getting increasingly upset with Trump and his daily China-virus pressers. An easy measure of this hostility can be seen in the angry questions (really accusations) being thrown at him by the liberal media (snipers). Why is this?

My guess is that Trump is a straight-shooter ... he speaks without much equivocation ... and his favorability ratings with the American people is going up accordingly ... hitting 55% this week. This reaction infuriates Libs even more. Of course, he isn’t always right ... but he is not shy about making decisions ... “What have we got to lose.”

Does the left want to stop these pressers because they are working? That is my suspicion.

Toilet Paper

My granddaughters gave me a roll of toilet paper with Trump’s picture on each sheet. I thought it was funny and put it in our guest bathroom. If I gave any of my liberal friends toilet paper with a picture of Obama on each sheet, I wonder how this might be received? In fact, this seems the significant difference between today’s dogmatic liberals and more open-minded conservatives.

Democracy on Life Support

The impeachment of President Trump is a clear example of the rabid radicalization of the Left. This group is so unhinged that they are willing to sacrifice democratic processes to unseat an elected official whom they detest. The methods that the Democrats used in the House impeachment process were obviously rigged ... yet, for the first time in a long time, these same Democrats hypocritically wrapped themselves, with “great solemnity,” in the flag and the Constitution.

This unsettling trend is also occurring in Great Britain where Boris Johnson just won a huge popular mandate to reestablish this country’s independence by implementing Brexit. Yet there are riots in  the streets of London refusing to recognize this lawful election ... see: Not My Prime Minister!

This is quite an unsettling trend ... progressives, unused to being in the minority, are now on the edge of revolution ... unwilling to accept how their countrymen vote. Yes, Hillary Clinton probably won the popular vote in 2016, so Trump’s election was a fortunate fluke caused by the Electoral College in our democratic Republic. But there is a very good chance that he will win the popular vote the next time around ... at which point the Left’s mouths will go dry with their spittle being excessively flecked.

American democracy then really will be on life-support. Dangerous!

The Truth

President Trump has been very effectively painted by the media as a serial liar (something like 13,000 lies since he took office) ... when, in fact, he is possibly the greatest truth-telling politician of our lifetimes. That is why he is president and has such adoring crowds. It is the media liars who refuse to recognize this truth (and his truths.)

Here are a few of Trump’s truths:

- American leaders have allowed China to steal us blind over the last 30 years

- The American economy could be a lot better

- The US needs to have the best military in the world

- Our judicial system too often creates laws, does not interpret laws

- Many European allies have stepped back and let the U.S. carry the majority of the responsibility for keeping the world safe

- The United States will never be a Socialist country

- Spending our treasure and the lives of our youth to “fix” other nations is foolish

- Global warming is a gigantic scam

- Washington is a swamp filled with too many self-serving and often dishonest bureaucrats

- Republican campaign colluding with Russia was a media/Deep State attempted cabal

- Russia under Putin is a bad actor ... but it can be useful in countering China and the radical Muslim threats

- Nations without borders are not nations

- Patriotism and respect for our flag is not a sin

- Much of our media dispenses “fake news” shaped by Liberal politics

- Immigration, even large immigration, is good only if controlled and selective

- Iran and North Korea are dangerous enemies and need to be put in a box

- There are a number of other despotic nation’s around the world which are not our friends but, nonetheless, need to be dealt with so that they don’t become our enemies

- Israel and Great Britain are our closest natural friends and need to be treated as such

- The UN is a very expensive, yet ineffective “world government”

- Liberal-run cities ate generally failing their citizens

- Blacks and Latinos have been ill-served by their Democrat masters

ENOUGH?

Obvious Truth

It is healthy for our country to swing back and forth between liberal and conservative policies ... as long as neither one destroys the other completely. Both political philosophies, if given their complete leash, will destroy America.

Don’t take this comment as endorsing pure socialism however.

Teeter-Totter

In the long span of American history there have been periods when Liberals ruled and those when Conservatives held sway. So far the US Constitution has almost magically allowed this teeter-totter transition of power to occur without revolution. And this has been a good thing for these periodic changes cleanse the toxins that always accumulate under one-party tule.

It appears that the left now has a partial hammerlock on this process ... and the next time they completely control things may bring an end of this political back and forth. Our last terms of liberal rule came very close.

I can only fear for our future.

Liberals have an insidious way with language ... to try to box us (of the opposite view) in ... a form of newspeak ... often relying on sardonic criticism ... bordering on unhinged irony. Here are a few samples of their inside-out and upside-down thinking:

Illegal immigrants under the age of 36 are "children" and "dreamers"

Robert E. Lee

When the South solidly voted as Democrats, the northern liberals were happy to leave them alone. But now that they vote Republican, the Left is relishing in ripping the scab off of the Civil War and rubbing their noses in it. Robert E. Lee was one of our greatest generals ... who now is being turned into a pariah by the two-faced liberals. The Charlottesville mayhem centered around a statue of Lee as this new-found symbol of regenerated racism.

When Lee surrendered at the courthouse in Appomattox, Va, as they were exiting this ceremony, General Grant had his band strike up "Dixie" out of respect for all their battles well fought. This spirit of reconciliation is now being buried under the slime of racial politics. And the driver of that deadly car in Charlottesville was clearly a slope-headed moron. But he was being egged on by even bigger morons on both sides.

H. Lewis Amselem, in the  Diplomad 2.0 Blog, thinks liberals are nuts. (He calls them lefties or progs.)  To back up this charge he has penned a gem of a paragraph explaining himself;

As far as I can tell they are for children but also for killing unborn ones with no restriction, no apology, and no need for a fee. They are for LBGT and women's "rights," but ally themselves with Muslims who practice FGM, oppose abortion, treat women like cattle, and promote and engage in honor killings, and advocate death for LBGT people. They are for women's rights, but want men who think they are women to use women's washrooms. They are for free speech, but shut down anybody who disagrees with them, and, of course, ally themselves with Muslims who oppose freedom of speech and thought as part of their core dogma. They are against racism but try to stir up old racial animosities and conflicts that had long been resolved, buried, and forgotten. They are for poor working people, but oppose the tax and the regulatory structures that create jobs. They are for poor working people but favor unrestricted immigration that drives down wages, crowds out jobs, and absorbs the funds of public welfare schemes. They want free education for all, but oppose letting poor and middle class people have the right to choose their schools, unlike the rich people who do. They shout "Love Trumps Hate!" as they bash opponents with bricks and poles. They have spent decades denouncing the military, the CIA, the NSA, and the FBI as oppressors of the people, but now want those agencies to sabotage an elected president. The wealthy ones denounce gun ownership and walls but live behind protective shields of men with guns and walls around their exclusive properties. Hollywood stars who made millions living in the land of make-believe denounce non-existent Trumpian "brownshirts" and bravely proclaim their resistance! They are for the environment and prove it by flying to environmental rallies in their private jets. They, well . . . you can go on with this sad litany.
