When the South solidly voted as Democrats, the northern liberals were happy to leave them alone. But now that they vote Republican, the Left is relishing in ripping the scab off of the Civil War and rubbing their noses in it. Robert E. Lee was one of our greatest generals ... who now is being turned into a pariah by the two-faced liberals. The Charlottesville mayhem centered around a statue of Lee as this new-found symbol of regenerated racism.
When Lee surrendered at the courthouse in Appomattox, Va, as they were exiting this ceremony, General Grant had his band strike up "Dixie" out of respect for all their battles well fought. This spirit of reconciliation is now being buried under the slime of racial politics. And the driver of that deadly car in Charlottesville was clearly a slope-headed moron. But he was being egged on by even bigger morons on both sides.

These people were not morons. They were standing up to the threat from so proclaimed nazis. Had my ancestors and perhaps yours stood up to the nazi threat 80 years ago, 6 million plus people would have had their lives to live in full. We are proud that this young lady stood her ground. He death was not in vain. She was not a moron. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying this.
This event transcended being about Lee and Confederate flags. The protestors carried weapons, wore KKK hoods or WW2 German helmets and carried Nazi flags. Let's play "Dixie" as the statue is moved to a museum of things from history, not the public square.

Now must we change the name of Washington, DC because he owned slaves? Will we relegate all R.E. Lee statues to the dusty store rooms of museums? Will we raze all mosques because of jihadists? Will such silliness never stop?
I disagree with your disagreement. The driver did not seem to be motivated to his actions by either his peers or the politicians. A cold-blooded murderer is always the biggest loser. He will not be immortalized with a statue.
Perhaps the driver will spend his last moments in "ol' sparkie"? By the bye, I just discovered that R.E.Lee freed his father's slaves when he reached 21. Isn't life full of little ironies?
Trump just said the magic words, "white nationalists, KKK and Nazis". Now what will the left next get exorcised about regarding Charlottesville? Stay tuned ...

Truth is people on both sides came with weapons and ready to fight. Most of the peaceful attendees were unscathed. The chilling thing is that the guys carrying the swastika flags think Trump is on their side.
And the Venezuela despots think that Bernie is on their side ...
