Perv Country

Two more male celebrities have entered the Conga line of pervs snaking through the halls of shame. Now Matt Lauer and Garrison Keillor have been fired from their media jobs for sexual improprieties. Can I count the names? Weinstein, Bill Clinton, Conyers, Bill O'Reilly, Ted Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, Al Franken, Charlie Rose, Kevin Spacey, Oliver Stone, AnthonyWeiner, Mark Halpern, the Affleck brothers, etc., etc. These are just the ones who have been verified as being pervs. Yes, Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Roy Moore have been accused but the charges against them are still unverified.

But the ones who have been fully outed, almost all seem to have one thing in common ... they are shrill liberal feminists ... male metrosexuals ... more than willing to denounce anyone across the aisle who looks cross-eyed at a woman. Me thinks that they doth protest too much. You can cut their holier-than-thou hypocrisy with a dull butter knife.

But the thing that has me puzzled is ... why only males? Surely some high-powered women have engaged in sexual shenanigans. The questions are who and how many? Here are my wild guesses for the first female pervs: Anna Wintour of Vogue Magazine, Maxine Waters of Congress, Carly Fiorina once of Hewlett Packard, Megyn Kelly of NBC, Martha Stewart of PBS, Nancy Pelosi of Congress, Lena Dunham of "Girls,"  Ariana Huffington once of HuffPo, and, yes, Hillary Clinton once our Secretary of State (outed by Huma?). Kind readers, feel free to add your speculations to this perv country ...

Swamp Creatures

Senator Al Franken has just joined the host of current and previous  pervs in Congress ... Ted Kennedy, Bob Menendez, Lyndon Johnson, Anthony Weiner, JFK, Wilbur Mills, Newt Gingrich, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Bob Packwood, Joe Biden, Gerry Studds,  260 anonymous Congresspersons who had previously cost the U.S. taxpayers $15 million in sexual abuse settlements, and 50 current Congresspersons who are on a known "Creep List" ... see: Conservative Review Article.

For lots more perv names, see: Supreme Find Law.

And these are just the ones who have been exposed. How many more have existed is obviously a lot larger. And we wonder why so little gets done in the swamp ... they all seem preoccupied with groping others and exposing themselves.

Afterward: Should I add Barack Obama to the above perv list? See: DC Clothesline.

Language Tricks

Liberals have an insidious way with language ... to try to box us (of the opposite view) in ... a form of newspeak ... often relying on sardonic criticism ... bordering on unhinged irony. Here are a few samples of their inside-out and upside-down thinking:

The American flag is "just a piece of cloth"

A human embryo is but a "blob of protoplasm"

Voter fraud suppression is "voter suppression"

Ted Kennedy was a "Lion of the Senate"

Illegal imagrantion is "an act of love" ...

Climate change is the unopposable way of saying "global warming"

Hillary Clinton was the "most qualified candidate"

The Teaparty is "unacceptably radicalized"

Illegal immigrants under the age of 36 are "children" and "dreamers"

Fake News

Conservative news organizations are being castigated by many traditional media organizations for promoting "fake news" stories for political advantage ... one such example being the recent pizza parlor child-trafficking conspiracy theory ... see: New York Times Story ... which caused a mentally-ill man to fire an AR-15 rifle into the ceiling there in protest. However such fake news stories pale in comparison to some whoppers that the main stream media have propagated over the years. Here is a story on this twisted meme ... see: The Hill Story.

Besides these The Hill references to the Iran nuclear deal and Obamacare fake news stories, there are literally hundreds more memes that those mainstream news outlets, which we used to rely on, spoon fed us over the years ... all of which turned out to be phony. Here are just a sampling: Al Sharpton/Tawanda Brawley, vanishing polar bears,  Benghazi attack based on an Internet video, the Religion of Peace, Rathergate, no WMDs in Iraq, "hands up don't shoot", Ted Kennedy's 1965 immigration amnesty "fix", carbon dioxide as a pollutant, etc., etc., etc.

Do I make my point?

The Kennedy Insultitute

This weekend the dedication for the $79 million Edward M. Kennedy Institute ... which is an insult to anyone who knows anything about this reprobate's life ... was held in Boston to honor Ted Kennedy, the deceased Massachusetts senator and political heavyweight. In attendance were many old-boy politicos of both parties including Trent Lott, President Obama, John McCain, Joe Biden and Tom Daschle ... many speaking  lovingly of this pride of Massachusetts ... see: Fox News Story. This Instultitute is primarily a museum meant to honor Senator Kennedy and to educate the public on the workings of government. It was built next to the presidential library of his brother, John F. Kennedy using both public funds ($43 million) and private donations ($36 million) ... although it had been promised to be totally privately funded ... see: Boston Globe Story

It has many exhibits ... one detailing Teddy's cheating prowess at Harvard for which he was eventually expelled, another is the now rusty Oldsmobile Delmont  fished from the Chappaquiddick waters in which Mary Joe Kopechne gave her life as a tribute to Teddy's aquatic heroism, another the neck brace that Teddy wore to help convince the Cape Cod grand jury that he should not be indicted for manslaughter, another is a glowing testament to Teddy ... signed by the millions of illegal aliens who were made legal in the bill he elbowed through Congress in 1986 as the final solution for the United States' illegal immigration problem, another a huge bottle of Chevas Regal Scotch containing Kennedy's pickled brain as a tribute to his lifetime of pickling his brain with this same liquid, another is a Madam Tussuad's mock up of the "waitress sandwich" that Teddy and Senator Christopher Dodd made of a female server at the D.C. La Brasserie restaurant back in 1985 ... and many many more lowlights of this man's life.

For expansion info on these sterling exhibits, read Howie Carr's quick reprise of the "Lyin' of the Senate"'s checkered life ... see: Boston Herald Article.

Afterward: Howie Carr's article has been archived ... here's a better reference: Forbes Piece.

Borked

Now they are both dead ... Robert Bork and Ted Kennedy ... so there is a certain metaphysical parity in my comments on how Robert Bork was denied his rightful seat on the Supreme Court by that bloated Massachusetts lowlife senator.  This "borking" of Robert Bork was pretty much all Ted Kennedy's doing ... one of the most shameful, mendacious and demagogic performances ever displayed on the Senate floor.  Shortly after Ronald Reagan nominated this great judicial scholar, Robert Bork, to don the black robes of the Supreme Court, Ted Kennedy publicly and gleefully maligned him with words so over-the-top slanderous that he should have be forced back into that worm hole in which he all too often resided.  Watch this nauseating performance at this: Huffington Post Video ... and, if you don't concur with my assessment of Ted Kennedy, then you are beyond all hope of civilized humanity.

"Lion of the Senate," my ass.  Ted Kennedy was a very small man.

Teaching to the Test

Apparently the Lion of the Senate, Ted Kennedy, roared a little too loudly when he helped construct the "No Child Left Behind" legislation during the early Bush-43 years.  For now, about ten years later, another Democrat reformer, The Barry, has declared this law too draconian and granted ten states exemptions to its provisions (with 28 more states to follow) -- another of the many examples of executive ukase under this regime. (See: L.A. Times Story). In announcing this one of his many end-runs around Congress, Obama declared that this attempt to increase students' proficiencies across our nation was "teaching to the test."  This is precisely the same liberal canard that has been used in Massachusetts to deprecate the MCAS testing here (Massachusetts, of course, was one of the ten states granted a waver.)

And this is despite (or maybe "because of"?) the dramatic spending increases that Arne Duncan has enjoyed during his tenure aas head of the Department of Education -- $39.9 billion in his first year (fiscal 2009) with the President's budget calling for $68.0 billion in fiscal 2012 (see: Department of Education Spending and click on the Excel table).  And I seem to recall the hoopla surrounding Duncan's appointment where his credentials and rhetoric suggested that his entire raison d'être was to improve the testing results of United States students.  Apparently the air has gone out of this balloon ... to be replaced by a condom?

For more of my thoughts on this subject see: Duncan Donuts.

Satan with Wings

I recently spent the day listening to talk radio and the gushings of many anonymous callers extolling Ted Kennedy's virtues ("He pinned the Purple Heart on me." "He saved my ill daughters life.", "He regularly goes to church." etc.) I was actually quite taken aback by the degree of adoration shown to Edward Moore Kennedy on his passing. But, this being Massachusetts, I was not shocked. After all he was returned to the Senate seven times by the voters here. However, to balance these kudos, there are many negatives that will hound Ted Kennedy well past his interment -- he "borked" Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas; he championed the legalizing of millions of illegal immigrants in 1965; he was a bosom buddy to the despots, Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega; he abetted the drowning of a young lady and then lied about his actions; he sullied his Senate position with his boozing and his womanizing; he kept slicing the salami aiming toward socialized medicine, etc., etc. Despite all these failings, many in the Bay State still went aflutter as his shadow passed. He was affectionately known as the "lion of the Senate" but, as Rush Limbaugh recently said, yes, and "we were his prey."

So was he an angel or its doppelganger -- a seraph with horns or Satan with wings? Each of us will come down one one side or another of this question. But, I for one, can't bring myself to genuflect.
