Responsibility
Are the people of San Francisco responsible for the deterioration of their city? The people of Venezuela responsible for their failed country? The people of Iran responsible for the insanity of their ayatollahs? The people of Nazi Germany responsible for the holocaust?
You know what? I have come to believe that a city or a country is the sum total of its people. And if these people live in a totalitarian shithole, they cannot shed the responsibility for what they have allowed to occur. The Iranians might be overall good people who like America and what we represent. But, if they allow their government to sponsor terrorism throughout the Middle East ... and their leaders to strive for the possible nuclear destruction of the world, then they are just as guilty as whom they have allowed to govern.
Sorry, kind readers, but yes, an evil society can contain a whole lot of good people. However, if there is enough evil in each of them that it accumulates to an overall evil ... then this society cannot be considered as good.
Reprise: The morality of a society is an amalgam of the morality of its people. — Anon.

Leadership
Be he right or be he wrong, there is no question that Donald Trump is a leader. He has supreme confidence in his ability to make things happen. And he is right more often than he is wrong ... which really angers his opponents. And very often these opponents would rather Trump lose than the United States win. This is a perverse type of political hostility. When President Trump moves in an unconventional direction with Afghanistan withdrawal or Iranian denuclearizing, fake-news pundits squirm and scream, “That is not the way to do it” ... forgetting that their previous mindless approaches were totally ineffective. What’s that definition of insanity?
I find it strange that liberals often find it preferable to do nothing administratively than be shown as having a hand on the throttle and a eye on the rail. I recall that many of my lefty friends called Mayor Rudy Giuliani a Nazi as he led New York City back to live-ability. And now the mayor of this city, de Blasio, would rather exercise at the gym than run his city ... with the result that it once again is a mess. This same insanity is being repeated in other Democrat cities ... Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Portland, Chicago, etc., etc.
Why, in the minds of Democrats, does responsible management equate to totaliarism? And laissez faire and permissiveness equal “justice?” There can be no real progress without making decisions and shaping operations. Yet they call themselves “progressives!” Railing against the phantom bugaboos of racism, bigotry, misogyny and antisemitism is not a substitute for leadership. And every so often the American people wake up and realize this truth.

No Joe!
This AM on “Morning Joe” Joe Scarborough played his RACIST violin again ... besmirching who? You guessed it, President Donald Trump. Basically, Joe was whining about Trump’s Cincinnati rally last night and how Trump’s attacking failed Democrat inner cities was a RACIST dog-whistle!
The failed inner cities that Trump mentioned were Baltimore, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Now, I could be wrong but, of these three cities, the only one I think of as black or black-controlled is Baltimore. Even other cities that Trump could have included in this list — Seattle, Portland, Detroit, New York City, St. Louis and Chicago — only two could be considered “black,” Detroit and St. Louis.
Sorry Joe, but your RACIST narrative does not hold any coffee.

Urban Neglect
Is it lazy liberalism or is it vane virtue signaling? But tent cities and a creeping urban neglect is spreading up the West Coast of America ... from Los Angeles to San Francisco and now to Seattle.
Here these city leaders have decided to ignore urban decay, a public health crisis and violent protests to signal their naive indulgence of the seedy needy. Their forgivness of those who would bring us down is rife. And these urban squatters are not just allowed ... they are encouraged.
What cognitive disease infects the brains of these city fathers and mothers? In many ways those who are running these cities are as squalid and duty-shirking as those who are living on their streets and pooping in their gutters.

San Francisco Justice
![]() |
| Pillar of Salt |
San Francisco is a beautiful city (except for the little brown presents from all its many homeless people.) However, it counterbalances this scenic beauty with the ugliness of the general population and its sanctuary city hubris. Case in point -- a jury drawn from this city's moonbat pukes on Thursday found Jose Garcia Zarate (a five-times deported illegal Mexican alien with seven outstanding criminal convictions) not guilty on all significant charges (murder, involuntary manslaughter, and assault with a deadly weapon) in the Kate Steinle murder trial. Zarate's high-priced lawyer's shifting defense was that he had "found the gun under a bench wrapped in rags an it went off accidentally." And this San Francisco jury swallowed this tripe hook, line and sinker. See: Washington Post Article for all the tainted details. Not even involuntary manslaughter!
This travesty of justice indicates to me that there is no hope for this city by the bay ... and, when it slides into the sea, remember, those of you who are fleeing, don't look back ...

Bobblehead
If they are ever given a real opportunity, I would love to have the media ask the following questions of Hillary Clinton:
- In the light of the recent random murder in San Francisco of a young woman by a five-time deported illegal alien, do you still support sanctuary-city policies such as led to this killing?
- Has the current financial crisis in socialist Greece caused you to rethink your espoused economic dogma and/or political leaning?
- Do you think that this country is making a mistake in its negotiating concessions with Iran regarding its path for atomic weapons?
- You recently claimed that there were no classified e-mails on your private server ... yet the State Department has just withheld 15 e-mails of the latest batch released because they were ... classified. How can you justify your previous statement?
- All major entitlement programs in the U.S. (Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security) are headed for insolvency. How would you propose fixing these problems?
- Do you support President Obama's recent push for fast -track trade authority and a renewal of the U.S. Import/Export Bank?
- When you were living in the governors mansion in Arkansas, the confederate flag flew there on public property. Why didn't you then oppose this "racist" symbol?
Afterward: Here are ten more tough questions that the bobble-head Hillary needs to address: Breitbart Article

Ambassador Rodman
North Korea's chubby child ruler, Kim Jong-un, has rattled his nuclear sword once again, threatening a preemptive atomic bombing of the United States (probably Los Angeles and/or San Francisco) ... see: The Sun (of U.K.) story. Perhaps our unhinged, ex-NBA-er, Dennis Rodman, on his recent visit to North Korea, didn't pander to this tin-horn despot quite enough?
Now aren't we glad that the Democrats have opposed and slow-walked our anti-ballistic-missile-defense system?

Nob Hill
Quite recently, while vacationing in Hawaii, I had occasion to sit next to a talkative gentleman during the Happy Hour at the bar in our spa. Over my Mai Tai, I asked where he was from, he said “San Francisco.” I said that I loved that beautiful city but I generally found the people there a little off-putting. He agreed and said that he was a motorcycle policeman there and that, during one recent Gay Pride Parade, he was on duty when the “Act Up” float came by. At the rear of the float were two naked gay men engaging in the act that might well be emblazoned on its flag. A middle-aged couple (with small children) from the Mid-West shockingly asked him if he couldn’t do something about such public lewdness. He replied that his boss’s boss was a gay female and, if had he done so, it would be a career-ending act.
Now I see that San Francisco has a proposal that would ban public nudity for anyone over the age of five (see: ABC News Story for details). Now I have no idea whether such a sane and reasonable law would ever pass muster in Baghdad by the Bay. But I strongly believe that, if for some quirk of fate, it did become law … enforcing it would be next to impossible. After all, isn’t one of the promontories in San Francisco called “Nob Hill?”

Unhappy Meals
San Francisco has banned toys in fast-food meals which are considered by the nabobs there as being unhealthy … specifically the McDonald's “Happy Meal.” See: No No McDonald's
Now, if the powers-to-be at Baghdad by the Bay can intrude on the lives of their citizens to this extent to keep them healthy, why could they not drop a pall over the myriad of other unhealthy social practices there … such as sodomy, marijuana usage, panhandling, designer drugs, street gangs, sea-lion invasions, and re-electing Nancy Pelosi?
Me thinks that those on the San Francisco's Board of Supervisors who voted for this ukase are all, as they say, "a toy short of a Happy Meal"
Extra comments:
- In China they let their citizens eat bugs, cats, shark fins, bird's nests, and rotten eggs ... and we call ourselves a free society!
- Someone on talk radio suggested today that McDonalds put condoms in their Happy Meals if it wants to pass San Francisco muster.
