No Joe!

This AM on “Morning Joe” Joe Scarborough played his RACIST violin again ... besmirching who? You guessed it, President Donald Trump. Basically, Joe was whining  about Trump’s Cincinnati rally last night and how Trump’s attacking failed Democrat inner cities was a RACIST dog-whistle!

The failed inner cities that Trump mentioned were Baltimore, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Now, I could be wrong but, of these three cities, the only one I think of as black or black-controlled is Baltimore. Even other cities that Trump could have included in this list — Seattle, Portland, Detroit, New York City, St. Louis and Chicago — only two could be considered “black,” Detroit and St. Louis.

Sorry Joe, but your RACIST narrative does not hold any coffee.

Election Fraud

Voter fraud is a toxic subject. Those who clearly benefit most from this scourge, generally Democrats, have many defenses against such accusations -- VOTER SUPPRESSION! ...  YOU HAVE NO PROOF! ... RACIST! ... ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE!  ... etc. And when a recent effort was started to size this travesty, it was met with vigorous push back ... particularly in Democrat states ... resulting in the abandonment of this effort.

But what then is the incontrovertible response to this demagoguery -- well, that there are 3.5 million more registered voters in the United States than living adults ... see: Investor Business Daily Article. Wow! If this be the case, then, since not all living adults necessarily register to vote, the disparage between these two numbers clearly must be much larger than 3.5 million. There are only two possible explanations for this disparity ... a number of dead people ... and many illegal immigrants ... both groups seem to be very diligent in pursuing their civic responsibility for voting.

This tells me ... and President Trump ... that our democracy is under assault by the demagogues who deny or even abet this fraud. What is even more disturbing is that these deniers must know that they are lying and are invested in continuing this felony.

So next time you see these false protesters ... denying that voter fraud exists ... treat them with the same diversion that you would treat the voting fraudsters themselves.

Afterthought: Maybe the only time we will correct  this malfeasance is when the Latino and black voters start preferring Republicans ... it could happen.

After afterthought; Actually there is a third possibility -- the same live person registered in multiple locations ... likely small except for students ... and should be easy to fix.

Sticks and Stones

White supremacists, xenophobes, Islamophobes, anti-Semites, sexists, Nazis, KKKers, racists, even Putin's cock holster -- these are some of the brickbats that the left loves to throw around "like candy" to keep conservatives off balance. And, all too frequently, they work to stifle many voices of those who actually fit none of these slurs. That old saying that "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me" may work in the playground ... but not on the political stage. These "names" have been effective at silencing the right.

Whose fault is it that these epithets do take hold? Obviously, if they didn't work, they wouldn't be in wide use.Well, not the accused ... since very few actually meet these descriptors. But Trump did get this game going with his often-clever nicknames for his opponents, both Republican and Democrat. Now, in retaliation, the left and the media have found a few unfortunate molehills (like those few dopes in Charlottesville) that they can now turn into these Everest smears ... the starting list given above.

Moreover, of late, the left has apparently  decided that slanders are not sufficiently vindictive, So its ANTIFA, Black Lives Matter and other Trump-resistance sects have resorted to those old reliables ... sticks and stones.

Discrimination

Discrimination has become a dirty word. Once, if one had discriminating tastes, it was a good thing. Now, no more. If one favors something over another ... no matter what ... one is ironically discriminated against. Our founding fathers recognized religion and creed as discrimination no-nos. (Add race, color and gender later by Constitutional amendment.) Now, these taboo categories are inflated and virtually endless. If I paid attention to all these strictures, I could not shun convicted felons, lewd-lyric rappers, new Black Panthers, Scientologists, pedophiles, radical Islamists, Communists, those with "fluid genders," satanists, and Lena Dunham (whatever she is).

Hellery Clinton recently twisted things with a short list of those whom I am now allowed to hate ... the deplorables ... sexists, racists, homophobes, xenophobes and Islamophobes. And all of the myriad of the discriminated-against groups I was required not just to tolerate, but to embrace.

But now that Hellery is relegated to walking the woods, can I go back to not discriminating against just race, color, religion, gender and creed? No?

On Slurs

Listening to National Public Radio today, I realized that there are a set of hate words that are bad and then, there are those that are worse. On a radio program here in Bosto, our Attorney General, Maura Healey, went through the litany of Hellary Clinton's favorite slurs on her opponents -- sexists, racists, homophobes, xenophobes, Islamophobes ... in the same order as those she included in her proverbial "basket of deplorables." These were the often epithets used to try to slime the winning side in the recent presidential election.

Apparently, since these words were ineffective at the polls, the über left is having a mega-meltdown ... and now have reached into their grab bag of slights to up the ante. Now Trump's selections for his administration were then labeled by Healey as white supremacists and alt-rights. Other media poobahs have called them KKKers, anti-Semites, Nazis and hateful bigots. AG Healey then said on this program that she had set up an 800 hot-line for people to call to rat out those who were exhibiting Hellary's suppose deplorable traits.

Surprise, surprise! Before lunch was over, this hot-line had been maxed out with calls from listeners who mostly pointed out that Healey herself was the biggest offender with her on-air labeling of  Trump voters with these newer slurs.

Now AG Healey's face must be as red as her politics ...

Empty Suit Update

If the Republicans win on Tuesday … and I think they will … it will not be because this is a racist country (as far too many Democrat are now professing.) It will be because the majority of Americans twice elected a black man as president and he has turned out to be an empty suit … see my previous assessment: Empty Suit. Yes, he seems likable enough, can very effectively read someone else’s words from a Teleprompter, has surrounded himself with consummate (but conniving) politicians, has a fine upstanding family and a great smile. But, in almost every other category, he is a cipher.

Yet, demagogue Democrat after demagogue Democrat are accusing American voters of turning against Obama because he is a black man … trying to elicit the same type of guilty feelings that helped get this affirmative-action graduate elected in the first place. Just like the annealing process helps make metal stronger and more resilient, President Obama might have benefited if he had had a few setbacks on the way to his coronation in 2009. He sailed through college, law school, community organizing, the Illinois Senate, and the U.S. Senate without the slightest questioning of his abilities. His ego has therefore been so massaged that he has never had to doubt his underpinnings … or those of his posse.

As a result the United States has been saddled with a president who not only has extreme political views, but also exhibits few management skills to move our nation forward. (In a way this might have been a backward blessing.) The signature achievement of his first six years in office, Obamacare, was passed with him being a passive spectator to the corrupt legislative practices of his fellow Democrats. And, the result is a law so convoluted and biased that it might only survive under a total redraw. Virtually everything else he has touched, both domestically and internationally has proven to be the inept product of a haughty America-hater.

Fortunately this country is somehow still standing and, if the Republicans end up controlling Congress in January, we might have a chance of righting our ship of state. But it won’t be an easy task … for I sense a vindictive streak in Obama that might make those ensuing two years a very difficult period for our liberties, our way of governance, and our Constitution. And, much as I identify with the Republicans, I realize that they too are politicians and subject to the same self-serving instincts as the Democrats have shown. But fortunately, it might take them longer to degenerate to this same lugubrious level.

Afterthought: To indulge a liberal's rambling discourse on this same subject read: Politico's OpEd.

Tea Party

Boston is hosting (rather, enduring) a Tea Party on Boston Common this morning with Sarah Palin speaking no less. I find the tea-party movement to be a remarkable political phenomenon ... primarily because of the vitriol it elicits from many liberals:

- being called "tea-baggers" (a lewd reference to a homosexual act). My reaction to anyone using this epithet is utter revulsion. This population unfortunately includes many on network and cable news programs.

- being castigated for not having enough blacks in attendance (Obama did get 96% of the black vote for heavens sake) ... ergo they are racists. This is akin to calling Israelis xenophobes for not having any Iranians in their Knesset.

- being labeled radical right-wing nutty moon bats. I thought "moon-bat" was a word reserved for those who think Republicans stole both Bush elections.

- being named "Astroturf" (i.e., rent-a-mob) by the White House to denigrate the tea party's grassroots origin.

- being compared to Tim-McVeigh-style terrorists. Is it accidental that MSNBC is running a Tim McVeigh retrospective at this time?

- being labeled "birthers" (those who believe that Obama wasn't born in the U.S.A.). There is a group of lefties who have even threatened to infiltrate tea-party rallies with signs to this effect ... and to the other slimes mentioned above.

As far as I can ascertain, these tea parties are a genuine grass-roots reaction to the fiscal excesses of the current (and past) administrations. And any politician who ignores or disparages this movement does so at considerable career risk.
