Discrimination

Discrimination has become a dirty word. Once, if one had discriminating tastes, it was a good thing. Now, no more. If one favors something over another ... no matter what ... one is ironically discriminated against. Our founding fathers recognized religion and creed as discrimination no-nos. (Add race, color and gender later by Constitutional amendment.) Now, these taboo categories are inflated and virtually endless. If I paid attention to all these strictures, I could not shun convicted felons, lewd-lyric rappers, new Black Panthers, Scientologists, pedophiles, radical Islamists, Communists, those with "fluid genders," satanists, and Lena Dunham (whatever she is).

Hellery Clinton recently twisted things with a short list of those whom I am now allowed to hate ... the deplorables ... sexists, racists, homophobes, xenophobes and Islamophobes. And all of the myriad of the discriminated-against groups I was required not just to tolerate, but to embrace.

But now that Hellery is relegated to walking the woods, can I go back to not discriminating against just race, color, religion, gender and creed? No?

Anchor Babies

You've heard the liberal talking points ... you can' deport 11-12 million illegal aliens ... it would cost trillions of dollars to do so ... how are you going to overturn the Constitution? (Not that we haven't done this in the past.) These shibboleths are just a bunch of hogwash. We can indeed fix our illegal immigration problem if we have the spine to do it.

Donald Trump was confronted with a reporter's hostile question at the Iowa State Fair Monday about the high cost of deporting all the illegal aliens. His answer was, as usual, right on point ... "What does it cost us not to deport them. We either have a nation or we don't have a nation." As it turns out there is a recent analysis on what it actually might cost to round up and deport some 11-12 million illegal aliens (CNBC calls them "undocumented workers" ... we should only hope that they all are working). The number arrived at was 5 to 15 billion dollars a year over a twenty year period ... see: a somewhat slanted  CNBC Article. To me 10 billion dollars a year is a mere pittance ... a rounding error in the United States' $3.8 trillion annual budget.

I further suggest that it is vital we start these deportations with the dangerous criminals ... and leave the ones with verifiable jobs and families to the latter years. In between here would be my rough priorities in terms of who gets booted out ... gang members and small-time criminals with multiple misdemeanors ... those granted amnesty fraudulently  ... illegals from terrorist nations ... aliens carrying false or multiple identities ... the mentally unstable ... people on welfare or who have come here to drop anchor babies ... and, finally, non-core family members of illegals. But I might make an exception for illegals who have served in our armed forces for two or more years and who have been honorably discharged.

And Donald Trump's (actually Jeff Session's) suggestion on how to pay for these deportations ... with a tax on the $123 billion of remittances that aliens send home every year ... makes enormous sense ... see: Business Insider Story.  A 5% tax should do it.

Trump d'Oeil

Donald Trump has made some interesting generalizations in his recent rant against illegal Mexican immigrants ... saying that Mexico sends to the United States the dregs of their society ... rapists, murderers, drug dealers, gang members and other felons. Even as admitted by Trump, clearly not all those Mexicans and other Latinos are bad people . But, it is now estimated that about 347,000 illegal-immigrant felons are loose in our country ... see: Breitbart Story. This is about 3% of the estimated 11 million such illegal immigrants now in the United States. Assuming that this number does not count all those illegal immigrant felons who are in jail, on parole, or have already been deported, one could easily double or triple this estimate ... bringing a reasonable estimate to close to 10% or so ... or about one in ten illegal immigrants matching Trump's pejorative slight.

So The Donald has probably engaged in a bit of hyperbole during his campaign announcement ... and may deserve a little push back .... but he should not be so castigated by as many Republicans and media pundits as are now doing. He has pointed out a very serious problem.

But, these numbers still do not include all the myriad catch-and-release numbers of illegal immigrant miscreants who pass through our judicial system untouched because local authorities have been instructed on the futility of pursuing such cases ... because of false identities and the cost of their police showing up in court when these criminals seldom do. John Hinderaker of the Powerline also does a deeper top-down analysis and surprisingly concludes that illegal immigrants commit serious crimes by as much as ten times the rate of U.S. citizens ... see: Powerline Blog. Perhaps, now some ambitious, but naive and vocal Republican candidates need to hold their tongues a little more.

Afterward: Actually Hinderaker's and my analyses might be flawed for the following reason: What if there are substantially more than 11 million illegal immigrants in this country ... say by a factor of 2 or 3?

Limburger Cheese

I have always thought that there was considerable voter fraud being practiced in this country … mostly by Democrats … be it dead people voting, illegal aliens and felons voting, people voting in multiple states (especially students), rigged voting machines, abuse of absentee ballots, people voting multiple times in the same state, and ballot box stuffing (remember the “hanging chads” in Florida). And just recently we hear that in California, people who have signed up for Obamacare have been sent voter registration cards with “Democrat” pre-checked. I am also reasonably sure that there are other ruses that go undetected. But now we have some more hard evidence to support this contention.  In North Carolina, it has been discovered that tens of thousands of voters recently cast their ballots in at least two states … see: National Review Disclosure.

I have written many times about such a blatant abuse of democracy in the past … see: Voter FraudDown We GoRepresentation without TaxationOne Man One VoteThe Fix, and Grapenuts.  But the example that convinced me that such malfeasance is clearly widespread, particularly in the inner cities, was in the recent 2012 Presidential election where 100% of the registered voters in 59 Philadelphia voting districts voted for Obama … see: Voter Intimidation. This is absolutely impossible. There must be a few people hospitalized or deceased. There might even be a few free-thinkers who would have voted for Romney. But exactly 100% of almost 20,000 registered voters in 59 precincts in Philadelphia vote for Obama … balderdash!

But, equally dangerous is the campaign by this country’s lefties and lefty media to pooh-pooh concerns about voter fraud. I can’t help but wonder why this is? The accusation of “voter suppression” is constantly used to suppress any valid effort to reduce voter fraud. Can nobody see through this throwing up of a phony smoke screen by the left? The more I hear such objections, the more I am convinced that this practice is widespread. You can’t get on an airplane or cash a check or rent a car or buy alcohol without showing a picture ID.  Why should this not be a requirement to vote? And why should voter registration be tied to more and more processes that don’t check for one’s citizenship? I truly believe that the Democrat party is actively involved in perpetuating massive amounts of voter fraud.  Otherwise how come this party controls the White House and the Senate when the clear majority of Americans polled consider themselves to be Conservatives?

Something stinks and it isn't Limburger cheese …
