Orwellian Mind Control

Kamala or kaMala ... which is it? Remember how President Obama kept using the term ISIL and not ISIS? And the term you used displayed how loyal you were to the left’s agenda? Well, we got another one of these word tests. And if you pronounce Senator Harris’s first name incorrectly, apparently you will reveal your putrid white-privlege politics.

But, pronounce it correctly and you are woke. It’s kinda like taking a knee with your mouth.

It’s Orwellian mind control, that’s what it is ... in a nutshell. Pronounce it kaMala and you show respect for this banshee. And then you can be more easily bent to the rest of this woman’s radical agenda. Pronounce it Kamala, and you dis her ... and you are a racist and a misogynist ... and you were happy that George Floyd was murdered ... and you want to put blacks “back in chains.”

See how social pressure’s forcing you into something as simple as pronouncing a name can set the stage for their winning the whole game!

Simple as that!

So it’s “Kamala” for me ... and, yes, I don’t respect her ... and I won’t bend a knee to any ideology ... nor will I ever wear a face mask when I’m outside in the fresh air ... and I’m thinking about whenever I’m inside too!

STAND UP FOR AMERICA!

Hostile Media

President Trump gripes that the fake-news’ constant nipping at his heels is impeding what he can get done. This may or may not be the case. And by this I mean just the “nipping” not the “fake news.”

Let’s be real ... the deep state and most of the hostile media hate Trump with a white-hot passion. Although this makes his job much more difficult ... in a way, it is a good thing ... for it requires him to perform well in every situation .... like in the current COVID-19  outbreak.

In the heat of the moment, it is difficult to gauge how well he is handling this health crisis, but, to me, I think he is managing this crisis almost as well as possible. Sure, he has made a few missteps. But, like any good manager, he is driven not by ideology, but to produce results and can pivot on a dime to do so.

When the national media is in love with a president, like with our former “chosen one,” gigantic mistakes are not focused on nor corrected ... in fact they are résumé enhancers ... such as Obamacare, the rise of “ISIL,” the Iran nuclear deal, the Paris Climate Accord, the swine flu response, TARP and the Afghanistan “surge” among many other Obama boners.

So, dear reader, although our national media is grossly biased and dishonest, they may be performing a useful purpose ... keeping Trump walking the line ... and will likely give themselves lots of kudos for such.

L to S

It is difficult to believe that the simple change of an L to an S ... ISIL to ISIS ... has made such a dramatic difference in just 10 months. Now ISIS fighters who just last year, as ISIL, were cutting the heads off Christians ... now are befouling themselves when captured by the Kurds in Iraq. It is clear to me that Obama was merely going through the motions of trying to defeat that "JV team, ISIL" .... unwilling to bomb their oil-truck convoys that funded these murders ... or really carry the fight to these monsters. Our community organizer's years of pretending to "degrade ISIL" were a sham and it cost the American taxpayers billions and created a worldwide immigration crisis which, in turn, promulgated hundreds of terrorist attacks.

Now our new president has changed this enemy's name to ISIS and promised to DEFEAT them ... and is doing just that by unleashing his military and arming the Kurds. And this bit of simplicity is clearly working. I suspect it will take many years until historians recognize this truth ... that is, unless Ken Burns tells the tale.

I also suspect, nay predict, that the same scenerio may soon be taking place in Afghanistan as it becomes clear to the Taliban that its opposition is now serious about destroying them.

Subtle Messages

I already know that many of  his acolytes will accuse me of exaggerating things, but I am convinced that our president (I think his name is Barack Hussein Obama) relishes sending subtle messages to his devotees ... communications that often run counter to his rhetoric. These messages can be visual (like forcing Bibi Netanyahu to exit the White House past the garbage cans) ... to word-smithing things (the continual use of the term "folks" to show he is one of us) ... to the juxtaposition of events (like the flying to a fundraiser in Las Vegas the day after the Benghazi massacre). Here are just a few of my top-of-mind incidents that our fearless leader has graced us with over the last seven years:

- chewing gum during the international 70th anniversary memorial services for the Normandy invasion ... and during his recent visit to India while watching their Republic Day parade.
- starting a round of golf on Martha's Vineyard only minutes after announcing the beheading of the American James Foley by ISIS.
- insisting that everyone in his administration call the revolution in Iraq and Syria "ISIL" when the   "L" stands for "Levant," an area that includes Israel ... and also denying that this is an Islamic state when this is what the first letter of its name in fact means.
- scratching his cheek with his middle finger to show his contempt for his election opponents ... bringing cheers from his hip audiences.
- filming a sophomoric and egotistical promo video for Obamacare only hours after it was revealed that the American woman, Kayla Mueller, had been killed by ISIS ... in which video he uttered YOLO (you only live once).
- particularly early on in his administration, his continual bowing to Asian and Middle-eastern heads of state.
- insulting of American entrepreneurs by his saying "you didn't build that."
- his comparing, at the National Prayer breakfast, of ISIS's brutal murdering ways to the Christean's medieval crusades and the Inquisition.
- removing the bust of Winston Churchill from the Oval Office as one of his first acts after entering the White House.

I could go on and on (I have mentioned none of his racist innuendos) ... but one thing that does strike me ... is that these subtle messages seem to be getting more numerous during the latter days of his reign. Could these be his base-line feelings that he has been hiding all along?

How Come?

-        Terrorists never seem to suffer post-traumatic stress disorder?

-        President Obama always finds out about his administration problems from the news media?

-        The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) is not associated with Islam?

-        Tsunamis after under-seas earthquakes are being caused by climate change?

-        President Putin of Russia can’t afford a shirt?

-        Poverty in the United States doesn’t diminish no matter how much is spent to eradicate it?

-        So many Catholic priests sexually prey on children?

-        Only Republicans abuse women? (Afterward ... see: Breitbart Story.)

-        European nations hardly spend any money on national-defense?

-        California doesn’t go bankrupt?

-        U.S. environmental protesters always leave a mess behind?

-        Racial demonstrations generally involve looting?

-        The social media craze is anti-social?

-        Hollywood morality preachers are too often immoral?

-        Hillary Clinton is so politically popular?

An Uncertain Trumpet

President Obama gave his prime-time talk to the nation last night. Brit Hume of Fox News I thought summed it up best in that he said Obama was “blowing an uncertain trumpet.” For those who could not bring yourselves to listen to this at-times forceful call-to-arms by our Nobel Peace Prize winner, I have reproduced it in its entirity below with my snarky comments (in bold type) pointing out Obama’s too-often deviations from reality:
My fellow Americans -- tonight, I want to speak to you about what the United States will do with our friends and allies to degrade and ultimately destroy the terrorist group known as ISIL.
As Commander-in-Chief, my highest priority is the security of the American people. (like you have been doing on our border with Mexico?) Over the last several years, we have consistently taken the fight to terrorists who threaten our country. We took out Osama bin Laden and much of al Qaeda's leadership in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We've targeted al Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen, and recently eliminated the top commander of its affiliate in Somalia. We've done so while bringing more than 140,000 American troops home from Iraq, and drawing down our forces in Afghanistan, where our combat mission will end later this year (in utter failure). Thanks to our military and counterterrorism professionals, America is safer.
Still, we continue to face a terrorist threat. We cannot erase every trace of evil from the world, and small groups of killers have the capacity to do great harm. That was the case before 9/11, and that remains true today. That's why we must remain vigilant as threats emerge. At this moment, the greatest threats come from the Middle East and North Africa, where radical groups exploit grievances for their own gain. And one of those groups is ISIL -- which calls itself the "Islamic State."
Now let's make two things clear: ISIL is not "Islamic." (again, his refusing to link the terms “Islamic” and “terrorism.”)  No religion condones the killing of innocents (as it turns out, the Koran does permit the killing of non-believers), and the vast majority of ISIL's victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state. It was formerly al Qaeda's affiliate in Iraq, and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria's civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border. It is recognized by no government, nor the people it subjugates. ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.
In a region that has known so much bloodshed, these terrorists are unique in their brutality. They execute captured prisoners. They kill children. They enslave, rape, and force women into marriage. They threatened a religious minority with genocide. In acts of barbarism, they took the lives of two American journalists -- Jim Foley and Steven Sotloff (apparently, the reason for American’s, and therefore Obama’s change of heart.) So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq and Syria, and the broader Middle East -- including American citizens, personnel and facilities. If left unchecked, these terrorists could pose a growing threat beyond that region -- including to the United States. While we have not yet detected specific plotting against our homeland, ISIL leaders have threatened America and our allies (you mean like Iran’s continued threats to annihilate Israel and the United States?) Our intelligence community believes that thousands of foreigners -- including Europeans and some Americans -- have joined them in Syria and Iraq. Trained and battle-hardened, these fighters could try to return to their home countries and carry out deadly attacks.
I know many Americans are concerned about these threats. Tonight, I want you to know that the United States of America is meeting them with strength and resolve. Last month, I ordered our military to take targeted action against ISIL to stop its advances. Since then, we have conducted more than 150 successful airstrikes in Iraq. These strikes have protected American personnel and facilities, killed ISIL fighters, destroyed weapons, and given space for Iraqi and Kurdish forces to reclaim key territory. These strikes have helped save the lives of thousands of innocent men, women and children.
But this is not our fight alone. American power can make a decisive difference, but we cannot do for Iraqis what they must do for themselves, nor can we take the place of Arab partners in securing their region. That's why I've insisted that additional U.S. action depended upon Iraqis forming an inclusive government, which they have now done in recent days. So tonight, with a new Iraqi government in place, and following consultations with allies abroad and Congress at home, I can announce that America will lead a broad coalition to roll back this terrorist threat (why the forming of an inclusive Iraqi government was a precondition to our decisive action there is beyond my feeble ability to understand our president’s thinking).
Our objective is clear: we will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy.
First, we will conduct a systematic campaign of airstrikes against these terrorists. Working with the Iraqi government, we will expand our efforts beyond protecting our own people and humanitarian missions, so that we're hitting ISIL targets (how about targeting the Iraqi oil that ISIS is selling on the black market for millions of dollars a day?) as Iraqi forces go on offense. Moreover, I have made it clear that we will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country, wherever they are. That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria (at last!), as well as Iraq. This is a core principle of my presidency: if you threaten America, you will find no safe haven.
Second, we will increase our support to forces fighting these terrorists on the ground. In June, I deployed several hundred American service members to Iraq to assess how we can best support Iraqi Security Forces. Now that those teams have completed their work -- and Iraq has formed a government -- we will send an additional 475 service members to Iraq (bringing our total of “no boots on the ground” to over 1,500). As I have said before, these American forces will not have a combat mission -- we will not get dragged into another ground war in Iraq. But they are needed to support Iraqi and Kurdish forces with training, intelligence and equipment. We will also support Iraq's efforts to stand up National Guard Units to help Sunni communities secure their own freedom from ISIL control.
Across the border, in Syria, we have ramped up our military assistance to the Syrian opposition. Tonight, I again call on Congress to give us additional authorities and resources to train and equip these fighters (the same ones who sold Sotloff to ISIS?). In the fight against ISIL, we cannot rely on an Assad regime that terrorizes its people; a regime that will never regain the legitimacy it has lost. Instead, we must strengthen the opposition as the best counterweight to extremists like ISIL, while pursuing the political solution necessary to solve Syria's crisis once and for all (“political solutions” in the Middle East are in very short supply).Third, we will continue to draw on our substantial counterterrorism capabilities to prevent ISIL attacks. Working with our partners (who are they … tell us please!), we will redouble our efforts to cut off its funding; improve our intelligence; strengthen our defenses; counter its warped ideology; and stem the flow of foreign fighters into -- and out of -- the Middle East. And in two weeks, I will chair a meeting of the UN Security Council to further mobilize the international community around this effort (wow! the UN to the rescue again!). Fourth, we will continue providing humanitarian assistance to innocent civilians who have been displaced by this terrorist organization. This includes Sunni and Shia Muslims who are at grave risk, as well as tens of thousands of Christians (if I am not mistaken, one of Obama’s few references to persecuted Christians since he became president) and other religious minorities. We cannot allow these communities to be driven from their ancient homelands.
This is our strategy. And in each of these four parts of our strategy, America will be joined by a broad coalition of partners. Already, allies are flying planes with us over Iraq; sending arms and assistance to Iraqi Security Forces and the Syrian opposition; sharing intelligence; and providing billions of dollars in humanitarian aid. Secretary Kerry was in Iraq today meeting with the new government and supporting their efforts to promote unity, and in the coming days he will travel across the Middle East and Europe to enlist more partners in this fight, especially Arab nations (I’m not holding my breath) who can help mobilize Sunni communities in Iraq and Syria to drive these terrorists from their lands. This is American leadership at its best: we stand with people who fight for their own freedom; and we rally other nations on behalf of our common security and common humanity.
My Administration has also secured bipartisan support for this approach here at home. I have the authority to address the threat from ISIL. But I believe we are strongest as a nation when the President and Congress work together. So I welcome congressional support for this effort in order to show the world that Americans are united in confronting this danger (Senator Cruz said on Fox that Obama should come to Congress and ask for this endorsment … instead of this flippant aside. I agree.) Now, it will take time to eradicate a cancer like ISIL. And any time we take military action, there are risks involved -- especially to the servicemen and women who carry out these missions. But I want the American people to understand how this effort will be different from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (again it was Bush and Cheney who did us in ... but, as I recall, Obama called Afghanistan the “good war”). It will not involve American combat troops fighting on foreign soil. This counter-terrorism campaign will be waged through a steady, relentless effort to take out ISIL wherever they exist, using our air power (our pilots are not the military? ... even Rachel Maddow of MSNBC found this strained distinction discomforting) and our support for partner forces on the ground. This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years (really? … you must be kidding?). And it is consistent with the approach I outlined earlier this year: to use force against anyone who threatens America's core interests, but to mobilize partners wherever possible to address broader challenges to international order.
My fellow Americans, we live in a time of great change. Tomorrow marks 13 years since our country was attacked. Next week marks 6 years since our economy suffered its worst setback since the Great Depression. Yet despite these shocks; through the pain we have felt and the grueling work required to bounce back -- America is better positioned today to seize the future than any other nation on Earth.
Our technology companies and universities are unmatched; our manufacturing and auto industries are thriving. Energy independence is closer than it's been in decades. For all the work that remains, our businesses are in the longest uninterrupted stretch of job creation in our history. Despite all the divisions and discord within our democracy, I see the grit and determination and common goodness of the American people (or “you folks” as I like to say) every single day -- and that makes me more confident than ever about our country's future.
Abroad, American leadership is the one constant in an uncertain world. It is America that has the capacity and the will to mobilize the world against terrorists. It is America that has rallied the world against Russian aggression, and in support of the Ukrainian peoples' right to determine their own destiny (with whatever parts of their country they have left). It is America -- our scientists, our doctors, our know-how -- that can help contain and cure the outbreak of Ebola. It is America that helped remove and destroy Syria's declared chemical weapons (important! note that he uses the term “declared chemical weapons” … another slip and slide) so they cannot pose a threat to the Syrian people -- or the world -- again. And it is America that is helping Muslim communities around the world not just in the fight against terrorism, but in the fight for opportunity, tolerance, and a more hopeful future.
America, our endless blessings bestow an enduring burden. But as Americans, we welcome our responsibility to lead (from behind). From Europe to Asia -- from the far reaches of Africa to war-torn capitals of the Middle East -- we stand for freedom, for justice, for dignity. These are values that have guided our nation since its founding. Tonight, I ask for your support in carrying that leadership forward. I do so as a Commander-in-Chief who could not be prouder of our men and women in uniform -- pilots who bravely fly in the face of danger above the Middle East, and service-members who support our partners on the ground (but let’s not call it “war”).
When we helped prevent the massacre of civilians trapped on a distant mountain, here's what one of them said. "We owe our American friends our lives. Our children will always remember that there was someone who felt our struggle and made a long journey to protect innocent people."
That is the difference we make in the world. And our own safety -- our own security -- depends upon our willingness to do what it takes to defend this nation, and uphold the values that we stand for -- timeless ideals that will endure long after those who offer only hate and destruction have been vanquished from the Earth.
May God bless our troops, and may God bless the United States of America.
And so we hear our president’s trumpet playing a call to charge with, to me, too many sour notes.

Afterthought: The morning commentaries about Obama's speech have been all over the lot ... kind of a reflection on the speech itself. However, one thought that does make sense to me is that we will not succeed against ISIS without the active involvement of the Sunni-led Mideast governments ... in particular Saudi Arabia and Turkey. And, since most of the ISIS new recruits are entering Iraq and Syria through Turkey, I think we're screwed. I have seen no evidence that Obama or Kerry have any purchase with Turkey ... even though it is a NATO country. (More ... see: The Gateway Pundit).

Job One

President Obama at his news conference this afternoon confessed that his administration has not yet evolved a strategy to deal with the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (aka, ISIS or ISIL) … see: Washington Times Story.

Perhaps, Mr. President, a little less golf?

Afterthought: And also perhaps, on the nineteenth hole, you might chew over with all your high-powered advisers (e.gs., Susan Rice, John Brennan, Valarie Jarrett?) how to deal with Putin and his invasion of the Ukraine? (See: Krauthammer Comments)
