The Green Party

What is her motivation? Jill Stein has raised millions of dollars to challenge the presidential election results in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania with the faintest hope of reversing the election results for not herself but for that crone of Chappaque, Hellary ... see: Politico Story. A reader has pointed out that the Clintons, seeing their pirate ship taking on significant water, are desperate to try to salvage things. But they can't be seen as doing such a despicable thing as these challenges were they to prevail. So they probably slipped Jill baby some vigorish to get her to front these challenges ... for which she barely has any standing ... let alone any chance of benefit ... other than, of course, some possible squeaky clean George Soros pelf.

But, then again, didn't Stein run under the banner of the "green" party? Now we know what this moniker really means ...

Abhorring a Vacuum

It is not just nature that abhors a vacuum, it is also politics. The Democrats, led by our imperial president, Barack Obama, the Senate’s czar, Harry Reid, and that plastic-surgery experiment, Nancy Pelosi, have so alienated such large swaths of the American voting public that there is a clear danger that charlatans and miscreants, claiming to be conservative Republicans, might actually get elected to Congress this fall. A case in point is Jordan Haskins from Michigan who quite recently was arrested four times for vehicle break-ins and trespassing … yet is running for office as a Republican ...  see: The Conversation.

I’m reasonably certain that this type of candidate scenario will be repeated many times across our nation this coming November and a few undeserving Republicans will even get elected. God knows this unhappy accident occurred far too many times for Democrat poltroons in 2008.

Political Digs

I have be criticized for the sliming of Obama on this blog (maybe justifiably so.)  However, Willie Geist took a silly hypercritical dig at Mitt  Romney this morning on Morning Joe when he asked the Governor of Michigan, Rick Snyder, how tall the trees were in his state?  This was because yesterday Romney was extolling the virtues of Michigan at a pre-primary rally.  He said, among many things, that in Michigan  "The trees are just the right height." Has Willie Geist never heard of hyperbole?  Shall we ask Garrison Keillor of A Prairie Home Companion if the children in Lake Wobegon are truly "all above average?"

Now, I have generally found Geist to be even-handed and unbiased.  However, being inculcated on MS/NBC (the cable channel that has just blacklisted Pat Buchanan... see: MS/NBC Blacklisting) for all these many moons, I guess such things are inevitable.  And I suppose that he has to read what is on the teleprompter.  It's too bad that these inane slights against both candidates will have to happen in the run-up to the Presidential election.  (I'll try to do my part here.)
