Acid Test

There is a clear acid test to differentiate the foreign policies of Obama and Trump ... and that is now occurring in Iran. There, demonstrations are getting more deadly every day. What started as economic protests have blossomed into full-throated anti-mullah uprisings. The Iran government is a very repressive anti-American and anti-Israel theocracy ... trying to establish Shiite hegemony throughout the Sunni Middle East. However, Trump-style populism is even creeping into Tehran ... causing distrust of its leadership. The Persian government there is even forced now to augment its police and special forces with Gaza and Hezbollah Arabs.

When the Green Revolution took place after disputed elections in Iran back in 2009, President Obama turned his back on this infant insurrection ... and it died as did many of its supporters. Obama then went on to suck up to Iran's despotic mullahs by negotiating a horrible one-sided nuclear pact that gave Iran back $150  billion in frozen assets and an easy path to atomic weaponry ... as well as some other goodies ... Obama's $1.7 billion cash ransoming of American prisoners, his secret letters to the mullahs, his allowing the humiliation of U.S. sailors and his calling off the drug-enforcement dogs from Iran-backed Hezbollah ... all to placate, for some mysterious reason, a major sponsor of Islamic terrorism.

In opposition to what many consider to be capitulation on Obama's part, Trump is vigorously supporting these recent protests by the Iranian populus ... a populus that generally supports America. Trump has tweeted his enthusiastic endorsement of these mew Iranian insurgents ... saying the 'time has come' for these thuggish mullahs to be overthrown. Hopefully other nations will fall in line behind Trump.

So, the acid test now presents itself ... is Trump right to go with the Iranian populus ... or was Obama's mullah boot-licking the right policy? We should know the answer within Trump's first term in office.

News You Can Use

In talking recently to a well-versed and connected former politician, I broached two subjects of which he was unaware. I believe that this information is so important that I am going to reprise it here with links to my original blogs that more fully explain this news that, for some inexplicable reason, never made it into the main-stream media.

First, back in August, Egypt offered to cede to the Palestinian Authority (PA) 618 square miles of the Sinai Peninsula to expand the Gaza Strip. This would effectively quintuple its land area for the settlement of its refugees … and would have provided the PA the perfect opening to create its side of the famous “two state solution” to the decades' old smoldering conflict with Israel. President Mahmoud Abbas of the PA rejected this offer on the flimsiest of grounds … see: The Impossible Dream

Second, both the Clintons and the Obama administration have deep and important ties to the Muslim Brotherhood … the nursery for much of the Jihadists movement. These links have helped color our foreign policy in the Mideast over the last six years …and are, I believe, a primary reason that things are so bollixed up there. Read some of the known details here: Fleas.  I’m fairly certain that there are many other more incriminating connections.

Have you dear reader seen or read about these profound revelations highlighted in our national media? I thought not.

Afterward: Abbas once again showed his blood-stained hands ... see: Breitbart Article.

After Afterward: Now we learn that Obama's buddy, the religious head of the Muslim Brotherhood, is being sought by Interpol ... see: Atlas Shrugged.

Managing the News

I was saddened ... and Joe Scarborough was ranting on yesterday’s Morning Joe show … saying that the killing of 15 women and children by Israeli artillery was asinine … see: Huffington Post Story. Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary General of the U.N., said that attacking sleeping children was shameful … see: The Guardian Video. Even an Israeli military general was attempting to draw a moral equivalence … saying that the U.S. also killed many women and children when it shelled Fallujah during the Iraq war ... and Britain killed many more women and children when it fire-bombed Dresden during World War II.

However, independent of the horror of this tragic war, there are aspects of the news that we here in America are receiving that should be obvious … but we keep conveniently ignoring … and that is much of what we are hearing is a contrived fiction. The news is being shaded and even subverted by both sides of this conflict. But it does seem that Hamas is more aggressive at this game than Israel. I found the following post of the Powerline blog that showed me more of this subterfuge than one sees in most of our media: Powerline Blog Entry.  Here is a key excerpt:
Consider the case of Italian journalist Gabriele Barbati. On Tuesday, he tweeted that the deaths of Palestinian children on a playground caused by rocket fire were the result of a misfired Hamas rocket. “Misfired rocket killed children in Shati. Witness: militants rushed and cleared debris,” Barbati wrote:
Significantly, Barbati tweeted this only after he had left Gaza. In the same tweet he wrote, “Out of Gaza far from Hamas retaliation.”
Please read this whole referenced blog entry above to see how closely Hamas manages the news coming out of Gaza. I think we must show a great deal of skepticism when we, including Joe Scarborough and Ban Ki-moon, jump to conclusions about what is actually happening in this current horrific conflict.
