Comey, I Shrunk the Fibs
FBI Director James Comey reopened Hillary Clinton's email investigation last October because of "hundreds of thousands" of Hillary's emails that had just been found on her aide's Huma Abedin's husband, Anthony Weiner's computer, This staggering number of emails then needed to be viewed to determine if national secrets had been compromised. Next, within a matter of a few days, Comey disclosed that this Weiner email investigation had been completed and there was no reason to reverse his July conclusions that Hillary should not be indicted. Everyone scratched their heads ... wondering how this massive effort could have be completed so quickly.
Last week Comey testified under oath at the Senate Intelligence Committee and said that this number of emails on Weiner's computer was now "hundreds and thousands" -- a considerable drop from his previous number. And finally, yesterday, before his firing, Comey had sent a letter to this same Senate committee correcting his earlier testimony ... saying this number was down to a "handful" of emails ... another precipitous drop ... see: Breitbart Article.
Now one would assume that Director Comey knows basic arithmetic and has a competent staff which could help him keep his numbers straight. But no, it took to the morning of the day of his firing by President Trump to get his fibs finally straight.
I wonder if this series of shrunk email estimates in such a critically important matter had anything to do with Comey losing his job?
Afterward: For all the gossip on the Comey firing see: NY Times Article.

Under the Bus
Why would Hellary Clinton, in answering a question over the weekend about the FBI looking into newly discovered e-mails and thus re-opening its criminal probe of her, refer to Huma Abedin as "one of my staffers?" ... see: Daily Mail Article. Yes, these e-mails were discovered on Huma's or more likely her estranged husband, Anthony Weiner's laptop computer. But Huma has been Hellary's closest personal aide for many years, vice-chairman of her campaign and is often referred to as "her second daughter." Very strange reaction from this woman running for president ... particularly since it seems that these e-mail may have been purloined and secreted by Weiner as a bit of "life insurance." This odd behavior is compounded by the fact that Huma is no longer traveling with Clinton and seems to have gone missing.
By not keeping closer tabs on what Weiner might have been doing to acquire some 650,000 of the Clinton's inner circle e-mails ... many likely classified, Huma clearly is culpable for Hellary's current dilemma ... but is this enough to be thrown under the bus and repeatedly run over? To a normal forgiving woman, probably not. But Hellary, from all we know about her relations with "her staffers" is a tyrant of the first order. And I am quite sure that, through Cheryl Mills and her close contacts within the Justice Department. Hellary knows exactly what the smoking gun was that caused Comey to take his unprecedented action. Having her chances for the presidency jeopardized by Huma must have caused her to be so extremely vindictive.
But, I believe what was discovered might have been a more serious breach than just classified information in these e-mails ... which has already occurred and been broomed. What could be more serious that might land both Huma and Hellary in the hoosegow? That would be if it is discovered that Huma was acting as a Muslim mole ... and forwarding some of theses more sensitive e-mails or documents to her mother or brother in the Muslim Brotherhood. Such an event would certainly be treasonous and kill Hellary's any chance for the presidency (even if elected), turn her into a national pariah and have her fitted for an orange jump suit.
Interestingly. President Obummer also backed away from Hellary today when it was revealed that he has "every confidence in Comey" ... just when Hellary is attacking the FBI Director ... a little strange also. I am suspicious Obummer knows exactly what is going on behind the FBI curtain ... and has decided to protect his skinny butt.

Gorilla Dusts
FBI Director James Comey's letter to the House of Representatives on Friday saying that he was re-opening the Clinton e-mail investigation has caused the Democrats to grab handfuls of gorilla dust to throw into the air to confuse things. In particular:
- Both Hellary and John Podesta claimed that Comey only sent his critical letter to House Republicans -- NOT TRUE, he sent it to an equal number of ranking Democrats.
- Democrats claimed that the FBI did not have a search warrant to peruse the Abedin/Weiner computer -- Anthony Weiner is said to have given the FBI their computer so it didn't need a warrant.
- Hellary and Campaign Manager Robby Mook have claimed that Tomey hasn't seen all the e-maiłs in this "ambiguity bomb" so how does he know that they are material ... and they could be duplicates of ones already in hand -- the FBI has had this info since September. I'm sure that they know everything that is in them. They were discovered in a file folder call "Life Insurance" ... probably culled from Huma's correspondence by either Huma or Anthony as insurance against stressful times. (My money is on Weiner.)
- Democrats have resurrected the specter of Russian involvement in our election ... pretty much a generic charge that is trotted out when nothing else is at hand.
- Harry Reid, in a letter to Tomey, has accused him of violating the Hatch Act which forbids the FBI of involving itself in elections. This charge needs to be investigated further but it is probably just more gorilla dust. Stay tuned.
It has just been revealed that there are 650,000 e-mails and documents in this treasure trove ... hopefully including all those that Hellary's people destroyed last March ... and then some. No wonder the FBI needs to take some time to resolve things.

DickiLeaks
During the FBI investigation into Huma Abedin's husband, Anthony Weiner's, possible criminal sexting with a minor, four unsecured computers and/or smart phones were seized from their home which apparently have revealed items that caused concern (Dickileaks?). The fact that FBI Director James Comey has interjected himself into this presidential race eleven days before Election Day is a dramatic and risky move. Speculation abounds as to why he would have done such a precipitous thing that might jeopardize Hellary's chances at election.
I would like to offer some possible reasons for his actions ... some of which I have heard on the media and some of which are original. I have arranged them in order of what I think are the most likely possibilities, from top to bottom ... and also suffixed them with a number indicating the possible damage (10 = worst) to Hellary's campaign ... or her presidency (if the are not revealed until after the election in which she might prevail):
- There were non-duplicate e-mails found that contain classified or highly classified government information on an unsecured computer (7)
- From my son -- there were e-mails from Hellary which show her clear "intent" to conceal her other e-mails ... which was the rationale for not pursuing things further in July (10)
- From my son -- there were e-mails from Hellary which show her clear "intent" to conceal her other e-mails ... which was the rationale for not pursuing things further in July (10)
- There were e-mails or documents discovered revealing pay for play interaction between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation or associated entities (8)
.
- There were original or forwarded e-mails discovered from Huma to her mother or brother (both connected to the Arab Brotherhood) or other foreign entities that compromise U.S. Foreign policy matters (10)
- There were e-mails discovered that reveal personal relationships within the Clinton crime family and the Abedin/Weiner family that pose serious embarrassment or conflicts of interest ... in particular between Huma and Hellary (4)
- There were e-mails discovered that reveal personal relationships within the Clinton crime family and the Abedin/Weiner family that pose serious embarrassment or conflicts of interest ... in particular between Huma and Hellary (4)
- There were e-mails or documents that Anthony Weiner had access to that, although not classified, nevertheless compromise State Department operations or intentions (3)
Whatever is eventually revealed, I suspect part of Comey's motivation for this dramatic statement is to try to resurrect the FBI's and his reputation after his blatantly political decision in July to let Hellary skate on the original discoveries ... and also the recent revelations that his second in command, Andrew McCabe, was tainted by significant contributions (bribes?) to his wife's campaign from Terry McAuliffe, a Clinton Foundation Board member ... see: Who Cares?
The next few days should be very interesting ... and consequential ...

Turning the Other Cheek
Why am I not outraged at the recently-revealed lewd comments made by Donald Trump? It's not that they were made eleven years ago. It's not that these comments were made in expected privacy. And it's not even to excuse such locker room banter as machismo. It IS because I have grown weary of the double standard that the American media always applies to Republican vis a vis Democrat indiscretions. Republicans have demanded much higher standards of their office holders than the party of Jefferson and Jackson. So, anytime a politician from the Right seems to be getting too uppity, the New York Times or the Washington Post or 60 Minutes trots out a real or even manufactured scandal ... knowing that fellow Republicans will often arise with moral rectitude and ostracize their compatriot.
This seldom happens with "progressives" ... only in the most egregious cases of clear criminality do such excisings occur ... usually out of the spotlight of national media coverage ... even when the Democrat is quietly secreted behind bars. (One notable exception is Anthony Weiner who was repeatedly and publically too maliciously deviant to hide.) This dichotomy of media coverage has finally snapped my Puritan suspenders and, I believe, those in much of Middle America. We are now going out on strike and will ignore any existing or new Trump scandals until at least a few prominent Democrats denounce Hellary Clinton for her many and more serious breaches of law and protocol.
We are tired of turning the other cheek ... particularly since the media bashers seem to derive so much pleasure out of their sadistic spin. We are now assuming the tactics of the enemy ... particularly since it seems to have worked so well for them. Let them gnash their teeth and wear sack cloth for a change ... to bring things back in balance.

Huma, Phone Home!
He's at it again. Anthony Weiner is back doing his ugly thing ... sexting, with crotch shots and all, to women he finds online. Don't let your children read the following story and, if you do read it yourself, be prepared to take a shower afterwards ... see: NY Post Story.
This man is not just sick ... he may well be so deranged to be dangerous. Being that his wife, Huma Abedin, is constantly away helping Hellary climb any stairs, Anthony is at home babysitting their son and burning up the Internet with salacious messages describing his Lothario passions. Being that such behavior has already destroyed his political career, it is very strange that he has been unable to rein in these abarrant behaviors.
If, God forbid, Hellary is elected president, I can't imagine that Huma won't be a regular resident of the White House ... attending to her partner-in-crime's every need. And, if this comes about, will Weiner also be invited to ply his nastiness out of one of the back bedrooms? Being that our first residence needed to be fumigated after Bill Clinton left there in 2001. I suspect that, after Hellary were to leave, it may need to be razed.
Afterward: Huma has had enough ... see: Daily Mail Revelation.

Jollies
"Jollies" is an interesting word. It can be quite innocent and Yule-like ... or it can refer to sexual pleasures of almost unlimited appetite. We have recently seen a number of famous people exposed for how they get their jollies. Bill Cosby immediately comes to mind ... but then there is Charlie Sheen ... Eliot Spitzer ... of course, Bill Clinton and his procurer, Jeffery Epstein (see: Breitbart Story) ... his former aide, Dick Morris ... Anthony Weiner (the husband of Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's amanuensis) ... perhaps Huma herself with her boss ... Barack Obummer (see: Gay Abandon) ... the list goes on and on and on. In fact one can, without compunction, surmise that virtually every human being, from Catholic priest to Muslim Imam ... from philosopher to poet ... from bricklayer to Boy Scout leader ... all have or have had unique ways of getting their jollies.
The question then becomes ... what types and manners of jollydom are acceptable to our civilized society? Clearly, in our lifetimes, the bounds for satisfying ones' jolly appetites have been greatly relaxed and expanded to levels unimagined by our Puritan founders. A short jaunt on some of the Internet porn sites will demonstrate this range of jollydom ... and likely curl your hair. I don't suppose I can here go through the taxonomy (interesting word) of these practices, but I think I can safely say that any such act that damages someone else physically or mentally should be conscripted ... this means involving innocent children, harm to one or more parties (even if desired), and, in my opinion, any activity that disrupts the public's sensibilities (such as public sex in a gay pride parade.)
Call me a prude if you wish ... but just don't deny me my jollies.

Puff the Magic Dragon
The New York Times clearly believes it can perform miracles. This week, in it's Sunday Magazine section, it has featured "The private life of a former power couple," Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin. If you have not just eaten a meal, you might skim this bit of puffery here: NY Times Puff Piece. And, as you would see, if you could stomach the entire article, it does spend some time to summarize Weinergate (Anthony Weiner's 2011 sexcapades on social media) but also talks at great length about Huma's and Anthony's sympathetic courting and married life ... their child together ... and their close relationships to Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Why is the Times doing this? It appears to this reader that this article's author, Jonathan Van Meter, is shoveling as many words as he can on top of what was and is a very sordid Anthony Weiner story ... all in the hope that he might effectively bury it. And why bury it? It's all politics and money. Weiner has a $4.3 million war chest with which to run this year for Mayor of New York City. And, if he enters this race, the taxpayers will supplement this considerable amount with another $1.5 million of matching funds. (You need to be patient ... these salient facts are not revealed until almost the end of this article.) With $5.8 million, I believe some good political operatives (of which the Clinton's have a surfeit) could get David Berkowitz (that 1970's serial killer, "Son of Sam") elected to replace Mayor Bloomberg.
So, does the New York Times "live by the sea ... and frolic ... in a land called Honah Lee?" We shall see. We shall see.

Grating
Obama on Weiner -- "I think he's embarrassed himself. He's acknowledged that. He's embarrassed his wife and his family. Ultimately, there's gonna be a decision for him and [h]is constituents. I can tell you that, if it was me, I would resign," (See AP Story)
Obviously the Harvard Law Review had lowered its subjunctive (and pronoun agreement) standards.
