Preferred Pronouns

It has become a compulsory method of addressing someone these days. You are compelled to use their preferred pronouns when referring to the woke folks ... usually subject, object and possessive pronouns. So, Elizabeth Warren’s preferred pronouns, like when she is being addressed in a group selfie, are she, her, hers.

Some transgenders are oddly asking to be singly referred to as they, them, theirs. Funny though, I haven’t heard anyone insist on being referred to as “it.”

There seems to be legions of sanctimonious martinets who believe that they can cure the Earth of all the ills that we vandals are forcing upon the innocents. We are killing porpoises by eating a tuna fish sandwich and befouling our seas by drinking our soda with a plastic straw.

These many social justice warriors fight with placards and bullhorns to save the spotted owl, the snail darter, allow fluid gender men to use ladies rooms, ban Big Gulps, stop global warming, fight for free speech (oops, that’s an obsolete one), stop illegal alien babies from being RIPPED from their mothers’ arms, allow transgender high school boys to wrestle in girls’ tournaments, castigate “white supremacists,” get rid of the Electoral College and on and on and on. There is no end to the things that Rosie O’Donnell, Barbara Streisand and Joy(less) Bahar clamor that we must remedy TODAY! (Why so many women social justice warriors?)

Bottom line: It would seem that the energy expended by all these combatants to force the rest of us to do mostly silly things might be better spent performing just one or two small acts that repair something meaningful ... like how poorly educated many of our children are. Maybe each should begin by inspiring just one recalcitrant child into a respect for knowledge.

If everyone who wants to boil the ocean would just make a cup of hot tea for a thirsty elder, we would be far better off ... with far less angst ... and far fewer blasting megaphones.

Fonzi Time

It's only a matter of time. Public speakers  often punctuate their delivery with "ladies and gentlemen." This cisgender salutation surely will soon be attacked by members who identify with one of the 234 other gender classifications now in vogue. In fact, if orators were to try to accommodate all this gender taxonomy, they might have no time left in their talk to deal with the subject at hand. Maybe this might be an improvement?

Then we come to "Dear Sir" and "Dear Madam" as salutations at the top of letters. Clearly making assumptions about the gender of the recipient from its name or appearance is now a no-no. There are even those single individuals today who want to be known by the plural pronoun "they" because of the fluidity of their perceived plumbing.

So what to do?

I suggest public speakers use "ladies, gentlemen and those many others." And we must now start all letters with a Fonzi-esque "Yoh."

Footnote: Now that transgenders have been admitted to the army, recruits can no longer salute and respond to their sarge ant's order with "YES SIR." Perhaps "YOH" is the answer here too?

Contrasting dots are called "transgenders"

The age-old conflict between the feminime forces (Yin) and the masculine forces (Yang) in our society has been brought into sharp focus by the school massacre in Lakeland, Florida and the ensuing battle over gun control. In order to understand this schism, I thought I might classify some teams in the news as being under Yin and Yang:

Gender Politics

Reading the Mostly Cajun blog yesterday, the comparison was made between the reigns of Ivan the Terrible and Barry the Pussy. This slight got me to thinking about how our national psyche has quickly flipped from female-oriented to male-oriented. Whatever he is, Donald Trump is not a wuss. In contrast, mot only did Obama seem reluctant to wear the pants in his family, but he constantly played the apologists for America's past assertiveness. Argue with this conclusion if you will, but Barack's sexuality often seemed more feminine than masculine. This was uncomfortable for many of our citizens.

Obama's movements often seemed dainty. His policies were frequently reserved instead of assertive. His instincts were often emotional instead of logical. These are typically thought of as feminine traits. And his end-of-term tilt toward transsexuals (bathrooms, Chelsea Manning commutation, allowing them in the Army, etc.) reinforced this perception among many voters. And Hillary's promise that she would continue to tilt the country further toward the X-X gender didn't help her electability IMHO.

Perhaps Trump won the nomination because he was the most masculine of the primary contestants ... and, although the gender-identification differential was not as great, the same could be said for the general election. In other words, bottom line, Hillary may have lost BECAUSE she was a she. To me, it seemed Americans wanted a more assertive administration and has certainly gotten it. Now, the "resistance" mania by the pussy-hatted females, metrosexuals and the #Metoo crowd reinforces this theme that it is a lot  about gender politics. It is crying out, "It was our turn, dammit!" ... not realizing that they had just had their  turm.

Anti-Big Bird

The Republicans' anti-abortion stance has now wrapped this party even further around the axel ... and this should cause them to lose the 2016 presidential election. Their denouncing of Planned Parenthood's selling of baby body parts has clearly inspired Robert L. Dear to shoot up the Planned Parenthood's clinic in Colorado Springs ... killing three, wounding nine and casting a pall on this altruistic national provider of women's health care ... and forcing this fine organization to have to justify these widely-needed services ... see: Daily Kos Story.

Clearly every Republican candidate for president has jumped on the anti-Planned Parenthood bandwagon as a result of those doctored interview tapes besmirching these fine clinic people. This places all of these Republican turkeys on the wrong side of this history and shows that they are soldiers in the war on women. They thus deserve to be denounced and voted against.

And Republicans are also obviously anti-blacks, anti-gays, anti-transgender, anti-marijuana, anti-unions, anti-immigrants, anti-disabled people, anti-infrastructure, anti-poor people, anti-gun control, anti-socialism, anti-Hispanics, anti-middle class, anti-global warming, anti-Native Americans, anti-senior citizens, anti-Muslims, anti-women, anti-media, and anti-Big Bird. (Did I forget any?) Are these not enough reasons to pull the lever for Hillary?

I replied that when people tell them to go f..k themselves ... that must be what they, in fact, do ...

Afterthought: It was OK to make fun of transgenders back when J. Edgar Hoover was thought to be one of them ...

Artificial Invagination

We are obviously in a race to embrace any and all possible hook-ups as a tribute to our worship of diversity. You know the drill ... same sex, multiple partners, siblings, transgenders, children, animals ... and now robots are or should eventually be considered to be valid candidates for holy matrimony ... see: Slate Story. Here we are not talking about blow-up bed mates ... but full service A.I. spouses capable of all the Kama Sutra positions (reread this blog's title).

When this does eventually happen ... and I' m sure it will ... will all the complications of married life also follow ... divorces, spousal batteries, trial separations, child custody battles, etc.? Speaking of children, I can see robot husbands producing issue with female humans, but will female automaton spouses also be full-functioning reproductive partners?

At that point in time, I can imagine that  the only act that might be considered illegal and a crime against nature would be the marriage of two robots.

HIV Misconceptions

I did not know that HIV/AIDS has not been cured. I had thought that the daily cocktail of anti-viral drugs being taken by HIV-infected people cures their disease … unfortunately it just suppresses it. Yesterday’s New York Times’ “Science Times” section has comments from two people … one gay man who stopped taking his drug cocktail briefly only to have his HIV come roaring back (top right of page D3). I didn’t know this was happening … nor that, even while suppressed, this disease can still be transmitted in a small number of incidences … see: Catie News Story.

Apparently, neither do lots of gays and transgenders who are engaging in promiscuous sex … as the rate of HIV infections is once again skyrocketing … see: Breitbart News Story.

Now will Barack Obama be accused of purposely ignoring this problem … just as George Bush had been?

Redskins

For the second time the U.S. Patent Office has canceled the trademark for the Washington Redskins saying it is “disparaging to Native Americans” … see: Sports Illustrated Story. The previous time this decision was reversed in the courts ... see: Bleacher Report. But exactly how many of our Indian friends are "offended" is unclear. Is one enough? One hundred? This battle is not over, but if the Redskin’s owner, Dan Snyder, does eventually buckle to our Washington PC police, may I suggest that he change the name to the Washington “Transgenders," or  the “Statists," the “Muslim Brotherhood” or even the "Ruddy First People" That way he would surely be safe from further opprobrium from these Obama jackboots.

At some point we should all look back and contemplate how truly repressive our current administration has become. Does our Constitution mean nothing to them? And, most sadly, how few voices are crying out ...

Afterward: My son has suggested that the Redskin's owner change his team's name to the Washington Elizabeth Warrens ... in order to stay in the genre. Not bad ...
