Voter Suppression

The state of Georgia recently had problems in an election with faulty voting machines, long lines and mail-in ballot snafus ... and, predictably, the Left is blaming these screw-ups on “voter suppression.” What? This was a PRIMARY election ... and independent of the fact that most of these problems occurred in Democrat precincts, how in the world could the Republicans use any alleged voter suppression to their own benefit?

I suspect that this is how the term “knee-jerk reaction” came into our vernacular ... and “voter suppression!’ is obviously just a device to thwart efforts to end voter fraud ... misused in this case.

Election Fraud

Voter fraud is a toxic subject. Those who clearly benefit most from this scourge, generally Democrats, have many defenses against such accusations -- VOTER SUPPRESSION! ...  YOU HAVE NO PROOF! ... RACIST! ... ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE!  ... etc. And when a recent effort was started to size this travesty, it was met with vigorous push back ... particularly in Democrat states ... resulting in the abandonment of this effort.

But what then is the incontrovertible response to this demagoguery -- well, that there are 3.5 million more registered voters in the United States than living adults ... see: Investor Business Daily Article. Wow! If this be the case, then, since not all living adults necessarily register to vote, the disparage between these two numbers clearly must be much larger than 3.5 million. There are only two possible explanations for this disparity ... a number of dead people ... and many illegal immigrants ... both groups seem to be very diligent in pursuing their civic responsibility for voting.

This tells me ... and President Trump ... that our democracy is under assault by the demagogues who deny or even abet this fraud. What is even more disturbing is that these deniers must know that they are lying and are invested in continuing this felony.

So next time you see these false protesters ... denying that voter fraud exists ... treat them with the same diversion that you would treat the voting fraudsters themselves.

Afterthought: Maybe the only time we will correct  this malfeasance is when the Latino and black voters start preferring Republicans ... it could happen.

After afterthought; Actually there is a third possibility -- the same live person registered in multiple locations ... likely small except for students ... and should be easy to fix.

Prediction

Because of Blue state foot dragging, Trump's Commission on Election Integrity may not finish its data mining analyses for two or three years. But, when it does, it will find that the number of illegal voters far exceeds 3 million.

Attempts to 'suppress' these illegal voters in 2020 will be met with much Democrat demagoguery and violent illegal alien protests. Non-compliance by Blue states will be a boon for the legal community and the sympathetic media. This will delay final election results for many months ... but Republican candidates will eventually turn many outcomes in their favor ... maybe even in Massachusetts.

Jumping the Gun

"Data drives out speculation."

President Trump's Commission on Election Integrity has just begun its work ... collecting the necessary facts so that data analysis can determine if there is voter fraud in this country and, if so, how widespread it is. Part of this process is to collect voter data from our 50 states including voter registration info and voting history ... all generally public records which are used by both political parties in their campaigns.

Hold on ... some 29 states (mostly historically Democrat) have demurred in various forms using a litany of excuses ... see: NY Times Listing. The common unofficial reason for this possible non-compliance is that liberal bugaboo, "voter suppression."And John Hinderaker of the Powerline Blog has dissected a specific instance of this refusal ... see: Minnesota's Objections.

Now, are not these demurring states getting a little ahead of themselves? Jumping the gun if you will? One cannot possibly be accused of something unless and until the results are in ... and the remedies, after much litigation, are implemented ... if such are required. The fact that so-called "voter suppression" remedies are presumed means to this voter that these demurring states must already know that this Commission's requested data may have some embarrassing revelations once put through the big-data grinder.

A Perfect Anecdote

I am frequently accused of using anecdotal evidence to make a point. Ah, but those accusing we, who wish to have voters' identification validated, have found the ultimate anecdote to press their case against supposed "voter suppression." I doubt that a more sorrowful case of someone fighting the system to get a picture ID -- so that she could be validated -- could be found than this 107-year old black woman from Washington, DC  ... see: Yahoo Story.

Even though this woman, Virginia McLaunn, doesn't need this ID to vote in DC, she did need it to board airplanes to go to media interviews around the country. So perhaps this is really a story about airline-travel suppression. I am also curious about how this woman got into the White House to do a sit down and photo op with President Obummer prior to this exploding anecdote. Wouldn't she also need a photo ID for this visit? And I am also equally curious about her method of buying any schnapps that she might consume ... as she would also need a photo ID for that too.

Oh well, no logic is too strained or anecdote too tiny when liberals are trying to generate media outrage over one of their pet causes.

Dog's Hind Leg

Crooked as a dog's hind leg ... that has to be the best description of how (mostly) Democrats conduct elections in the "democratic" United States ...see: Limburger Cheese. The best indication of this is in the following quote from the above link:

This is absolutely impossible. There must be a few people hospitalized or deceased. There might even be a few free-thinkers who would have voted for Romney. But exactly 100% of almost 20,000 registered voters in 59 precincts in Philadelphia vote for Obama … balderdash!

And yet too many Americans dismiss this racket with the notion, "politicians will be politicians" and "politics ain't beanbag." Yet "community organizers", like our current President once was, are in the vanguard of this band of political thievery ... see: Rotten Acorn Citations. This link lists 36 instances of recent voter scams involving ACORN ... that Democrat organization that has since changed it name but not its purpose. I am certain that these citations are just the tip of the iceberg of this activity involving tens, if not hundreds of thousands of voting chicaneries.

 Now evidence is surfacing that non-citizens, many of them illegal immigrants, are voting in sufficient numbers to sway the outcome of many elections ...see:Washington Post Story. And I sincerely doubt that these ineligible voters are pulling the levers for Republicans. The press is full lately of similar stories of ballot box stuffing and voter machine tampering which does nothing but support my thesis here.

A country which countenances this bad behavior on the part of politicians can only expect them to be equally crooked once they get into office. Voter fraud is also insidiously corrosive in that the will of the people is suborned. It creates an atmosphere in which more and more ingenious deceptions are invented for the next election cycle ... see: Rocky Mountain Heist. This downward spiral is also a sufficient disincentive so that voters feel that their votes are meaningless.

Therefore, I would suggest that cleaning up the process of voting to eliminate these swindles is possibly the most critical element in restoring a sense of justice and fiscal sanity to our country.

Not easy to do however ... particularly when Democrat demagogues keep shouting "voter suppression" ... unless there is a realization on the part of Americans as to the full scope of these political deceits ... and punishments for same are swift and severe.

If you, dear reader are now poo-pooing the above evidence, then you, unfortunately, are part of the problem.

Language

Retail stores are going to school on our political establishment. They have learned that language or even just words can be used to influence the masses. Recently I received a brochure from Kohl’s that listed “performance tops” for $19.99 whereas its T-shirts were listed for $9.99. Essentially the same garment, Kohl’s has found a way with words to extract another $10 from its gullible customers.

Of course politicians learned this legerdemain a long long time ago. The “Affordable Care Act” (Obamacare) is anything but affordable. The only adjective that the Democrats seem to use is “extreme” or their noun is “extremists.” A number of years ago Republicans realized that “liberal” was a political killer and it was used to help defeat Dukakis’s presidential hopes. Rifles magically become “assault weapons.” When “global warming” started to lose its ability to sway, it was morphed into “climate change” … which was harder to debate. Such words are opinion-panel tested to a fair-thee-well and then disseminated to their apparatchiks to drum into the American psyche. The sad truth is that it works … facts be damned.

I have often opined on this subject under the term “Orwellian” … see: Red Flags, More Newspeak and Weasel Words. Once one’s ears are attuned to this political ruse, one cannot watch or hear a newscast or read a media message (mine included) without being bombarded with such subliminal syllabic slyness. “Illegal immigrants” become “undocumented workers.” (What happens if they are not working?) A terrorists attack at Fort Hood becomes “workplace violence.” Attempts to stop voter fraud becomes “voter suppression.” The Tea Party is besmirched (even by our President) with the smirked slur “tea baggers.” I sometimes wonder if Noam Chomsky is not on the Democrat payroll?

All I ask of you, dear reader, is please learn to filter out and ignore such blather.

Media Nazis

I realize that the use of the term “Nazi” is a sure loser … unless of course you are Jerry Seinfeld. But I do believe that it is quite appropriate in this case. The Obama administration's FCC now wants to monitor news outlets (I assume this includes the Internet) to insure that they are following what Big Brother considers important media stories ,,, its term for these priorities is  Critical Information Needs (CINs) … see: PJ Media Story. Our Gestapo in Washington wants to make sure that its eight topics are getting adequate on-air coverage. 

So far these CIN topics are somewhat nebulous but one can assume that they will include: climate change, income inequality, women’s reproductive rights, voter suppression, homophobia, and food deserts … and won’t include the Benghazi killings, NSA’s snooping, IRS targeting of the Tea Party, true unemployment rates, Fast and Furious, the al-Qaeda resurgence, and excessive Presidential golfing.  Here are the questions that will be asked during these proposed First Amendment violations:

Station Owners, Managers or HR
• What is the news philosophy of the station?
• Who is your target audience?
• How do you define critical information that the community needs?
• How do you ensure the community gets this critical information?
• How much does community input influence news coverage decisions?
• What are the demographics of the news management staff (HR)?
• What are the demographics of the on air staff (HR)?
• What are the demographics of the news production staff (HR)?

Corporate, General Managers, News Directors, Editors, etc
• What is the news philosophy of the station?
• Who else in your market provides news?
• Who are your main competitors?
• How much news does your station (stations) air every day?
• Is the news produced in-house or is it provided by an outside source?
• Do you employ news people?
• How many reporters and editors do you employ?
• Do you have any reporters or editors assigned to topic “beats”? If so how many and what are the beats?
• Who decides which stories are covered?
• How much influence do reporters and anchors have in deciding which stories to cover?
• How much does community input influence news coverage decisions?
• How do you define critical information that the community needs?
• How do you ensure the community gets this critical information? 

On-Air Staff (Reporters, Anchors)
• What is the news philosophy of the station?
• How much news does your station air every day?
• Who decides which stories are covered?
• How much influence do you have in deciding which stories to cover?
• Have you ever suggested coverage of what you consider a story with critical information for your customers (viewers, listeners, readers) that was rejected by management?
o If so, can you give an example?
o What was the reason given for the decision?
o Why do you disagree?

So far my upstairs spare bedroom (where I write these blogs) has not been invaded by these jack-boots … but I do have an upturned wastepaper basket upon which they can sit and watch me compose my pap … if they are willing to show up at 3 AM ... and are not offended by flatus.
