Agreed with your first point ... but I was not referring to whether there might be pay for play in these hidden or destroyed e-mails. These thousands of violations of the government records act were that they were hidden or destroyed. Ca peesh?

What I ka-peesh is that your outrage is mute when it's one of your guys. EG, Karl Rove's email scandal(Headline: Rove Erases 22 Million White House Emails on Private Server at Height of U.S. Attorney Scandal – Media Yawns).
Then there was Scooter Libby found guilty of outing a CIA agent (Then Bush commuted his sentence of a mere 30 months in jail, so he served no jail time) Dick Cheney's secret deals with Halliburton. . . need I go on??? The lawlessness of recent GOP administrations has paved the way for current corruption.
Apparently then, two wrongs do make a right? ... or should I say, a left ,,, (By the bye, Scooter Libby did not out the CIA agent ... Look it it up. Exactly what were Cheney's deals with Halliburtof? It's been a number of years, we should have the details by now, And please reference your 22 million e-mail accusation ... not that I will defend Rove.)
I just did a calculation ... 22 million e-mails represent (assuming one minute to type an e-mail) almost 42 years of round the clock effort every day of the year for one person ... or 8 years (Bush's term in office) of round the clock effort for 6 people ... or the same, assuming only one hour a day of solid e-mail composing, for 144 people ... or the same, assuming only one solid hour a day, 178 days a year, for 288 people. Now I looked up a reference to this bit of rumor and it said that this server was just for Rove and Bush 43 ... so something smells.

Interesting ... I was not aware of this controversy. However, the RNC is a far different animal than the State Department. How many CIA operatives was it outing? How many drone strikes was it privy to? Did they run any pay for play schemes in which Carl Rove got paid $500K to give a talk? I suspect their secrets were political secrets ... not national secrets. And firing US attorneys happens in every administration. No big deal.
