Did our Davos masters, when they were designing the borderless New World Oder, have a bullet point on their PowerPoint slide show predicting the current Wuhan virus pandemic?

Smelling Fear

When a nervous President Clinton met with China’s President Zemin in 1997 you could almost smell Clinton’s fear ... see: Broken China and reset this video to its beginning (a flaw in the original video I couldn’t fix). And also read why Bubba looks like he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Clinton wasn’t our only shrinking-violet president. We all remember how Obama traveled the world bowing to foreign potentates ... China included. I guess it is no wonder that this same country has done so well over the last thirty years. Yes, the Democrat-led New World Order conned America into believing that once China became a developed capitalistic bastion, it would also become a huge market for our products. Didn’t happen. We became a huge market for our own products manufactured in China.

Enter stage right ... Donald Trump who doesn’t ever show fear like his presidential predecessors ... and this confounds China who wants a repeat of this shower-room posture by America. Trump refuses to bend over for Xi ... which is causing much of the world’s angst. Many of our “allies” keep dropping the soap ... wanting Trump to pick it up. He does not seem so inclined.

New New World Order

Donald Trump won the U.S. presidency under the banner that championed Nationalism over Globalism. This theme is now spreading around the world .. to the chagrin of the Davos billionaire elites. However, Trump's message carries much more ideology than just the supremacy of nation states over (an unelected) world government. Here are a number of the battles that also define Trump's message ... you decide what side Trump favors:

Open Borders vs. Sovereignty

Global Warming vs.Self-modulating Climate

Capitalism vs. Socialism

Economic growth vs. Stagnation ("New Normal")

Diversity vs. Homogeneity (a tough one)

Populism vs. Authoritarianism

AI vs. Human Cognition  (another toughie)

Freedom vs. Enslavement

Privacy vs. Personal data capture (evolving)

Free trade vs. Fair trade

An Alternative Reality

The Resistance's spittle-flecked silliness stems to derive mostly from a rabid reluctance to live in Trump's alternative reality ... a reality shared by much of the world's voiceless  majority. 

But a reality that stomps on many of the elite's sacrosanct lemmas (global warming, socialism, world government, open borders, diversity, "free" trade, China '25, inclusion, globalism, etc.) ... from which they have drawn much solace and pelf.  

This dissonance among much of the ruling class worldwide is either going to bring us down ... or introduce a new era of enlightenment and realignments ... a new New World Order.  I'm banking on the latter.

New New World Otder

Donald Trump is either a doofus or a strategic genius. He is certainly jettisoning much of what had been the liberal agenda of the last fifty years -- "free" trade, NATO, "diversity, " open borders, socialism, China's  hegemony, high U.S. taxes, deferral to the Federal Reserve, global warming, nuclear proliferation, anti-Zionism, pro-EU, pro-Muslin, etc. -- together known as the "New World Order."

Trump is upsetting or redefining the tacit acceptance of these memes ... mostly to keep or restore America's place in the world's power structure. He has sensed that the path that China was following would, in very short order, place its foot on the neck of his country. And this was unacceptable to him and his MAGA pledge. Viewing many f Trump's moves  in this light begins to add some rationality to what, to many, has been characterized as bizarre behavior.

For example, let's look at the White House's opening to Russia. I am certain that Trump understands the risks involved in this strategic pirouette. Yes, Putin is a bad actor ... but so was Stalin ... much, much worse ... yet, our alliance with him was instrumental in winning World War II. I think Trump views America's current challenge to be the strategic equivalent. so do I ... and this is the primary reason I can overlook much of Trump's acerbic style.

Let's imagine for a minute what might have been discussed in that private room in Helsinki ... maybe merely implied if not explicitly stated. I can postulate two alliances:

- A swing toward neutralizing China's growing belligerence. Russia, although anemic economically is a military and nuclear powerhouse ... and it sits right on top of China. This neutralizing role would return Russia to a major layer on the world chessboard.

- If the Muslim world finally coalesced into a caliphate bent on world domination, a Russia-U.S. alliance would be a formidable counterbalance. Putin is thought to be a devout Christan and has had his fill of radical Islam. I believe he sees Trump as a potential buddy in this bar fight.

Thus a Trump-Purim bromance might ameliorate these two major conundrums ... enough for Trump to invite Putin back for another tête-à-tête at the White House this fall ... and enough for Trump to punch through the current media frenzy.

It seems that much of the power-player animosity toward Trump comes from a realization that he is fundamentally changing this world-order game. They either resent overturning their gravy train ... or fear the unknown. Trump is playing a high-stakes game .. with not a lot of allies ... except middle America.

Another Contrast

I have previously enjoyed comparing President Trump with his predecessor, Obama --- style vs. substance, process vs. politics, etc. Now I have another idea about how to draw this contrast and why Trump has generated so much anxiety and animosity among his opposition. This time the contrast has to do with visibility. Because of his continuous tweeting, President Trump is very much an open book regarding his positions and direction ... very likely why his base is so attracted to him.

In contrast,  a lot of President Obama's "fundamental change" was accomplished behind the bureaucratic curtain ... in the deep state. Yes, Obama did communicate well with his TelePrompter ... but it was mostly in his own kind of code. Much of his real intent was not on the surface. In fact, he also put forward much purposeful mendacity like Obamacare ... whereas, much of Trump's "lying" is indicative of his round-about decision process. It is an iterative process involving a series of zeroing in on his final policy. This process can be upsetting to those who don't believe that Trump's heart is right ... particularly when the media fans the foams of these anxieties.

To summarize in just a few words: Trump is up front with a nationalist populist agenda whereas Obama was folksily opaque with a globalist new-world-order objective.

Tipping Point

Was it Trumpism that caused not just conservative Americans but the average Joe and Jane here to throw open their windows and shout "Enough! I can't take it any more!"? There clearly is something happening to upset the progressive agenda in this country. Hampshire College has realized that it was a bad idea to get rid of the American flag. Colin Kaepernick looks like he has become persona non grata in San Francisco. Kellogg cereals are being boycotted because of the company's decision to stop advertising on conservative websites. Even Michael Moore seems to be straddling the political fence ... as difficult as that is for him to do. No longer does an "ist" accusation necessarily win the day. The "deplorables" have suddenly realized that, when they band together, they no longer need to be cowed by the race baiters and Soros-paid protesters.

This really feels like a sea change is happening not just in the United States ... but around the world. Obviously Brexit was symptomatic of this tsunami. Angela Merkel is booed in a German town-hall meeting and likely will lose her grip on the EU in the not too distant future. This weekend Italy may be joining Britain and the US in voting to reject globalism. The "new world order" that was destined to create an eternal [un]democratic world government and universal open boarders is fighting a rear guard action around Davos, Switzerland. Those arrogant globalists had been going balls out with their blitzkrieg progressive agenda ... unconcerned with the lives that they are leaving in their wake ... which now seems to be their undoing.

It sure looks like we are at a tipping point which will change the direction of world politics for at least a generation. Much of the justification for this globalism seems to have arisen out of the mayhem of the many wars of the last hundred years and the economic dislocation caused by the disparity between international labor costs. The latter differential is being diminished by automation and the former has been refocused into resisting the growing threat of a radical Islamic caliphate. Globalism of course is not dead but it is on life support. In the meantime I predict that nationalistic fervor will rule the day.

New World Order

Sweden needs to be more understanding. Muslim immigrant men have been running amok ... sexually molesting young girls, the youngest being 12, at a music festival in Stockholm and elsewhere ... see: Breitbart Article. The reason that the mores of Sweden need to change is that these invited guests come from a culture where women are objectified, have few rights, and are required to cover every inch of their bodies, except their eyes, with clothing. So when these same men see young women who consider themselves to be the equal to men, expressing their love of music, and exposing legs, arms and full faces, they naturally feel that these women want to be sexually groped by them.

And if the Swedish media and authorities don't take kindly to such behavior, then they are obviously Islamophobes and need to be reeducated to the beauty and benefits of opening up their hearts to different cultures. Diversity and inclusion are now the most important virtues in life ... far more valuable than liberty, morality and personal privacy. The sooner that the Swedes and the rest of Europe learn this Merkel message, the sooner that they will reap the benefits of this new world order.

An Exaltation of Larks

Scott Johnson has written a blog about what assemblages of animals (venery) are called ... leading up to his name for a grouping of Democrats. Venery is a very interesting subject ... James Lipton (of Inside the Actors Studio TV program) once wrote a book about it called An Exaltation of Larks. If you, dear reader want to delve deeper into this subject, I have found a source that is maybe even more complete than Mr. Lipton's... see: USGS Site.

Back to Mr. Johnson ... he concludes in his blog that, because of the poor way they are running our country, a grouping of Democrats should be called "an embarrassment of Democrats"  ... see: Powerline Blog. Not bad ... however there are other possible venery options for these blue state politicians. I would like to suggest one of the following:

- a handout of Democrats
- a polit bureau  of Democrats
- a hackarama of Democrats
- a pork barrel of Democrats
- a swamp of Democrats
- a cronyism of Democrats
- a self-serving of Democrats
- a hyphenation of Democrats
- a taxation of Democrats
  or even
- a new world order of Democrats

Stay tuned ... I might come up for some venery names for Republicans ... obviously some of the above might also apply.

New World Order

It appears President and Michelle Obama have helped create a new conviviality among world leaders. See the G20 Results. Michelle Obama snookered up to Queen Elizabeth in a very forward but seemingly accepted manner. See Hug a Mug. And Barack Obama unexpectedly bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia. See Your Highness. But these gaffs aside, our President did help calm the waters between China and France over dealing with financial tax havens (see “G20 Results” reference). Even Dmitry Medvedev of Russia hailed Obama as “my new comrade” (at once, both a fraternal and frightening appellation.) But, giving Obama the benefit of the doubt, the G20 world economic summit seems to have been a winner for the good ole U.S.A.

Time will, of course, tell. But at least it appears that the world has endorsed our smiling savior as its new matinee idol. And I will acknowledge that this group embrace is a dollop of gravy on an otherwise dreary meal of economic gristle.
