Nvidia got its start making high-speed chips for game and virtual reality makers. Now these chips have found a home in artificial intelligence and are in great demand … so great that they are selling for $10,000 a pop.
Yes, there are potential competitors … namely AMD … but experts say they may take a few years to catch up.
I suspect that this will significantly slow down graphic gaming developments and maybe even sales and profits … until the AI market is sated.
