Today’s Poser

Is a severely proscribed freedom really a freedom?

Afterward: One could make an easy argument that all the draconian gun laws in places like Chicago, LA and New York do nothing to keep guns out of the hands of the bad guys … and only make it nearly impossible for the good guys to exercise their Constitutional rights.

STAND UP FOR 2ND AMENDMENT!

The weirdness in America is that while the number of guns increases, the number of households admitting that they have guns is decreasing. Plus, those who admit they have guns, won't say how many they have. And the manufacturers won't even provide sales details.

America has been contorted by its interpretations of the 2nd amendment, the cowboy ethic, the huge number of vets and workers in the military-industrial complex, the first-person shooter games, and the pervasive guns in TV.

We are on the wrong track.

Yes, we need to start making gangbangers register their guns!

Nah! Register ammunition. Bullets kill people, not guns. Make ammunition crazy expensive like lifesaving meds, $50 a bullet. Put an ID or tracker on every bullet. That'll change the focus.

That’ll fix the gangbangers. They won’t be able to steal bullets … or go to a certain-to-develop black market for them.

How about never pleading down a serious gun charge agin ‘em?
