Over the Line

I think that the latest planned provocation by North Korea ... to shoot four ballistic missiles "in the vicinity of Guam" ... any or all of which could be carrying a nuclear warhead ... is well over the line. Imagine someone threatening to shoot four bullets "in your vicinity" .... clearly a punishable assault. And so the United States should treat this intended action by the Norks equivalently.

Guam is a strategic U.S. territory about 2,200 miles from Korea containing the Andersen Air Force base, a home for B1s, B2s, B18s, and B52s ...see: Business Insider Story. This place is far too important to be trifled with by the tin-pot dictator in Pyongyang. The United States should make it crystal clear to Kim Jong Un that such a provocation will be considered an act of war and will be responded to accordingly. Anything less will be considered by this fat midget to be a sign of weakness .... encouraging further escalation of this madness.

Yes, going to war with North Korea and reducing it to charcoal over this provocation is an extremely dangerous act ... but it is, in my opinion, even more dangerous not to so respond. We have reached the tipping point ... one that everyone knew was coming ... the result of decades of equivocating, backing down from this looming certainty. We now have an imperative to be decisive, to demonstrate to other possible nuclear bad actors what could be their future. There comes a time when such crazies as Kim Jong Un have crossed over the line.

Now is such a time.

I hope you are simply enjoying a bit of asinine saber rattling. I don't want my Grandsons going over there because some asshole got elected and doesn't know anything beyond schoolyard bullying tactics. Notice that the adult military leaders are not jumping on this bandwagon.

Never short on pejoratives. Are you not a bit of a school-yard bully yourself?
