Annoying vs. Dangerous

Now that Hellery Clinton is the presumptive Democrat candidate, it seems an appropriate time to draw another comparison between her and The Donald:

Donald Trump, when he shoots from the lip, is annoying ... sometimes very annoying. And, if he really means some of the things he says, yes he could be dangerous. However, those of us who will hold our noses and vote for him, do expect that a lot of what he says is mere bluster.

Hellery Clinton, on the other hand, often says, with a few bizarre exceptions, only focus-group tested phrases that appeal to the widest audience. However, anyone who knows anything about her modus operandi knows that she is an extremely dangerous, self-serving woman. She absolutely always has and always will place her own priorities ahead of those of her country's ... us in the U.S.

How is it that the political system in this sophisticated  United States offers up such a puny choice of candidates for president?

Something else is bothering me ... a number of prominent principled Republicans have understandably condemned, even castigated Trump over his out-of-bounds comments about the judge in his Trump U. case. Yet I have not heard a single Democrat even deign to criticize Hellery for her dangerous me-first roles in the Clinton Foundation payoffs, her private e-mail server or her Benghazi failures. Why is this? Are most Democrats willing to elect this evil woman just because they are all Democrats? And actually, this dichotomy more than bothers me, it half frightens me. There seems to be no morally outraged Democrats anymore.

As Trump is currently pointing out, the system most certainly seems rigged.

"Because you hear what you want to hear" is the answer to your question "Why is this?" Perhaps you missed the numerous discussions about Hillary's unfavorables --second only to Trump! The real question is why anyone with a brain would vote for Trump - a truly dangerous person, proven liar, petty, unfaithful in marriage, self-serving bigot..need I go on? Trump makes me wish Obama could serve a third term.

The water is circling the drain ...

There you go again... So if Trump stops saying dangerous things that are really just hot air, what's left? Is there coherent policy?

Conversely, if he does mean to do exactly what he says, how long before he starts pressing red buttons all over the place to incinerate anyone that taunts him? Because The Donald is self-serving by definition. Who has their name on every building, airplane, helicopter, and product they touch?

Would Trump live in that dumpy White House if it did not have TRUMP on it ? Fly in Air Force One if it did not have TRUMP on it?

What does than mean? What water? What drain?

The water is the U.S.A. and the drain is a third-world hellhole. Obummer's two terms has taken us 2/3rds of the way there. A third term (as DEN wants) would finish the job.

All your complaints against Trump are valid ... but they are trivial when compared to Hellery's flaws. (Please don't repeat the D's talking pokint about pushing the red button ... I can't see Trump being so foolish. Standing up against bullies is not insane ... it is necessary.) What's that old saw about the lesser of two evils?

ChillFin said...

You actually feel that the USA will soon be a third-world hellhole? Based on what relative statistical proof?

ChillFin said...

I am the one that brought up pressing buttons. And standing up against bullies is one thing, but hurling insults, concocting pet names, and then offering torture and glowing sand is... well, taunting. Asking for trouble. Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke. Aha! There you go!

Hellery and company keep mentioning the red button red herring ... are you not watching the MSM? Again, you are comparing the venial sins of Trump vs. the capital sins of Ms. Orange Jump Suit.

Loss of freedoms ...

ChillFin said...

What loss of freedoms? I just read through the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I cannot see anything I am being denied, any invasion of my space, or any restriction of my lifestyle. It is still a good contract from my point of view.

Would you feel "more free" without TSA and NSA and CIA and FBI and the police and the military?

Has anyone contacted you about things you say in this blog? Or inquired about or called for forfeiture of guns (except TSA!) Or moved soldiers into your house? Or entered your house without your permission or a warrant? Or denied you the right to a speedy trial with a jury of your peers?

How about the right of free assembly at many Trump (and Sanders) venues? The right of free speech on campuses across the US? The right of a speedy legal process for Hellery and many other pols?Religious freedom for the Sisters of Charity? Attempted usurpation of gun rights via Fast and Furious crime arising in the Justice Dept.? The vast denial of states rights on a number of issues, including immigration, education and now transgender BS? The expectation that written laws would be enforced and not ignored via executive actions? Did the IRS provide equal treatment to those applying for tax-exempt status? Should I go on ... there are oodles more? Have you been asleep for the last eight years?

Also just to add a few more serious ones ... reporter James Rosen falsely targeted in a spying case? Circumventing Congress on the Iran nuclear treaty? The anti-law enforcement and anti-military actions and rhetoric of Obummer himself? The lyings, the cover-ups, the extra-legal after-the-fact changes to Obamacare. The pissing away of many billions of taxpayer dollars on failed "green" projects? The auto bailouts that ignored bankruptcy laws and screwed many bond-holders to pay off the unions? Hundreds of billions of infrastructure spending that went instead to government unions? I'm getting tired ...

Giving a pass to the Philadelphia Black Panthers when they intimidated voters, not pursuing Al Sharpton for the millions he owes in back taxes, legally harassing Arizona when it attempted to stop illegal immigration, cutting off federal funds to North Carolina over its transgender bathroom law ...

I was talking specifically about *YOUR* freedoms and *MY* freedoms. As to your litany of events, only a few of those are basic freedoms of our society. Most of them are blunders, bad judgement, one-off incidents, and political favoritism. I still do not see an Ann Coulter "Third-world hellhole" emerging. I agree that immigration is huge problem globally, not just in the USA, and it has been since at least 1492.

Come on ... Ignoring the loss of your neighbor's freedoms is pretzel logic. Eventually you too will be in the docks.
