Globalism Exposed

I have drawn this analogy before ... and it is that Trump’s form of nationalism is similar in many ways to capitalism. And no, by nationalism I don’t mean Hitler’s Nazi party ... or this so-called white supremacism. I mean what Trump means ... putting your country first just like merchants under capitalism do their level best to serve their customers better than their competitors so that these customers keep coming back and allowing their businesses to prosper.

Every country should be putting themselves first ... like many do today ... how about China, Germany, Mexico and Russia? Countries which are shrinking violets (like the United States was for the last thirty years) and don’t put themselves first or put the interests of their leaders ahead of their people’s interests don’t prosper and often become, to use Trump’s expression, shit holes.

Just like enlightened economic self-interest (no, not greed) can and does form the basis of free-market capitalism ... so, this same “my country first” attitude keeps things balanced and moving forward in the world ... particularly when all countries practice it. Moreover,  just like measured charity has a place under capitalism ... in order to present a principled face to one’s customers ... so a hand up to struggling countries can and should exist under nationalism ... just as long as a country does not give up its prerogatives to the globalist ... who believe that national interests need to take an absolute  back seat to this truly greedy notion of the new world order ... where the Davos globalists like to control things and prosper.

So that city bumpkin, Trump, has it right ... if you care to listen.

Afterthought: To complete the analogy to capitalism, Davos globalists are the equivalent of merchants forming a cartel to stifle competition and fix prices.

History Lesson

The persistence of Socialism (and its evil twin, Communism) is one of the best examples of mankind's stubborn inability to learn from the difficult lessons of history. This, of course, advantages those who can fathom the counterintuitive nature of Capitalism -- Greed creates Wealth, whereas Charity creates Poverty.

Obama's Legacy

Former President Obama has left us with a nation in physical, fiscal and moral tatters ... depressingly populated with political, technical, financial, sports, media and entertainment elites ensconced behind walls who would deny us a wall ... whose solution to social injustice is payoffs ... who use armed bodyguards but curse their guns ... who have defined much immorality as a Constitutional guarantee ...who demand tolerance for those who are intolerant ... who encourage the disrespect of authority ...who coddle a drug culture ...who mock the righteous and curse the clear thinkers ... who would surrender our sovereignty to unelected bureaucrats ... whose notion of freedom is suppression ... whose charity begins with other people's money ... and who worship vanity and encourage excess. And he has infected much of the rest of the world with his insidious, upside down thinking. We are indeed but one short step away from perdition.

And Hillary is Obama's doppelganger. Yes, Trump is far far from perfect ... but, next to these two, he looks a lot like Ronald Reagan.

Afterward: I forgot to include educational elites to my list. Perhaps I could have just said "elites"?

The Confessional

Donald Trump: Father I have sinned. It has been two weeks since my last confession.
Priest: Yes my son ... what sins have you committed during this time?
Trump: Well Father I did covet my neighbor's wife and made advances toward her.
Priest: Did you consummate this relationship?
Trump: No. but I sure tried hard enough.
Priest: Anything else?
Trump: Yes, Father ... I spoke with profanity ... but I didn't use the Lord's name in vain. I did call Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig.
Priest: That's OK. She is. What else?
Trump: I refused to pay the full bill of an architect who did a lousy job.
Priest: Did you compensate him fairly?
Trump: According to my lawyers, I did.
Priest: Is that it?
Trump: Just one more thing ... I fat-shamed an employee who broke her personal contract and gained 40 pounds.
Priest: OK, then Mr. Trump. Say 20 Hail Mary's and 10 Our Father's ... and apologize to that woman.

Priest: Next!

Hellary Clinton: Father I have sinned. It's been 30 years since my last confession.
Priest: What sins have you committed?
Clinton: Well, Father, by my inaction, I caused the deaths of four of my employees ... and then lied about it to their parents.
Priest: OK, anything else that you want to confess?
Clinton: Yes, Father, I started two wars in the Middle East that have cost hundreds of thousands of innocent lives.
Priest: (Gulp) And?
Clinton: I also have been careless with state secrets which may have changed the international balance of power and even cost the lives of some secret agents.
Priest (fidgeting): Sigh! ... anything else?
Clinton: Yes, my husband has raped some women and violated others ... and I destroyed their reputations in the national media.
Priest (now profusely sweating): I hope there's nothing else.
Clinton: Yes there is. I sold access to our government for a bunch of big contributions to a phony charity my family controls and uses as a honey pot.
Priest: Please! No more!
Clinton: Not enough time to list them all ... but, oh yes, I have committed perjury and have frequently borne false witness to the American people..
Priest: Stop! I am going to have to take this up with the Bishop. Come back next month for your penances ... but, in the meantime, don't run for any public office.

A Poem

Clinton Chappaqua Estate

Now comes the time
For us to rhyme
About beloved Hillary

She took a server
Made it serve her
For her skulduggery

From nearly broke
She and her bloke
Found a money tree

With friends inside
They greased the slide
With a phony charity

Others took the bait
With her at State
I scratch you, if you, me

She's made amends
With many friends
One who's partly Cherokee

The pelf rolled in
For all her kin
One ending in maternity

She got so rich
That Oz-land witch
Life was all 99 Chablis

At the Chappaqua manse
She took no chance
It's now a risky property

So, as ye can clearly see
You built a wall for me
But not for thee

The New Mob

There is a web of sordid intrigue and financial head fakes that surround Hellery Clinton and the Clinton Foundation which have come to light as a result of the revelations in the Panama Papers. New information about these complicated relationships permeates the history of the Clintons and their group of paid henchmen. Read the following article in the McClatchy Newspaper and then come back for a few comments.

To me, it is clear that the Clintons run what amounts to a criminal enterprise and have done so since their days in Arkansas. This white-shoe mob is so vast and complicated that its web of relationships and money flows could not be established and maintained by just one or two people. This is where the Clinton Foundation comes in. This "foundation," ostensibly set up for charitable work, is, in reality, a front organization to support and grow some of these many nefarious activities as described in the above article.

Yes, every now and then, this RICO group holds a conference to discuss global warming or childhood poverty and, occasionally will even donate some previously-donated bagatels to Haiti or Somalia, but the real heavy activity takes place in the back rooms of these meetings. There information and money changes hands to benefit the Clintons and their "friends." The foundation is the way that these many partners in crime (see: Rogues' Gallery) are sustained ... and possibly a lot more.

If we are lucky enough to have a change in political parties come November, one can hope that the cold light of true justice will be shined on this den of thieves masquerading as a charitable foundation ... all done under the anti-organized crime statutes in place. If nothing happens under these circumstances, then one can assume, that the entire upper echelon of government is equally corrupt.

And if Hellery wins the White House, then this cancer will likely kill the patient.

Frivolously Sincere

I am acutely aware that I am an old fart. This comes home to me when I view all these celebrities taking the Ice Bucket Challenge on TV or on social media in order to donate to ALS (Lou Gehrig disease). To me, this bit of popular silliness has a lot of grandstanding wrapped in the velvet doublet of generosity. Why, if I want to donate to the worthy charity, do I need to dump a bucket of ice water over my head? I've always admired people who generously give to a cause anonymously ... instead of putting their names on a neon marquee along with their donated amount.

(Yes, I often donate using my real name ... because the amount is so small, I am clearly not braggadocios.)

Plus there is an element of public shaming in this Challenge ... if you don't accept it you re a skin flint. This is kinda like a chain-mail message which you have to send to ten people or you will get leprosy ... or not win the Irish Sweepstakes. If every one who passed these messages on to ten friends won the Sweepstakes, then the prize would be smaller than what had been paid for the original ticket. I guess what I'm saying is that the element of rationality seems to be ignored when one bows to peer pressure. This factor is clearly manifesting itself with the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Now, with this huge windfall of generosity, can we expect ALS to be cured soon? The skeptic in me says that much of these frivolously sincere donations will be wasted. Easy come, easy go.
