The Nazi

It is almost uncountable ... the number of times that President Trump has been likened with Hitler. He is a Nazi.  A racist. He is anti-Semitic. A white supremacist. A KKK lover. He is a Fascist. A NATIONALIST!

He is going to have the army shoot stone throwers in the Central American caravan. He is fulminating all the ANTIFA violence. He wants to outlaw the First Amendment to the Constitution. He is colluding with Putin. He winks at Khishoggi's Saudi assassins   ... it goes on and on ..

I guess all those who hate Trump and see him as Il Duce are delighted that the Democrats have won the House and impeachment proceeding can begin in the new year.

Pure Evil

Remember the South Carolina mother who pushed her car into a lake with her two children strapped inside? Pure evil!  MS-13 gruesome killings? A Muslim suicide bomber inside an Israeli pizza parlor? The Japanese Rape of Nanking? Mao's Great Leap Forward? The Khmer Rouge? The Armenian genocide? Stalin's purges? Hitler's Final Solution? All pure evil?

From whence comes all this evil? And will it ever subside?

Answers: Evil must be spread over our human genome ... and, thus, it  will always be with us.

Yes, religions are attempts to eliminate the dark side of our human nature. But most religions have also indulged in evil acts despite protestations to the contrary.

So are things hopeless?

Most likely ... and as population pressures increas, I think things are bound to get worse.

My suggestion: try to keep you and yours out of the way of such aberration  ...

Famous Superstitions

Most, if not all of us, have quirky superstitions. My grandparents never wanted me to eat pickles and drink milk together. Years later I read that President Zachary Taylor had imbibed these ingredients shortly before he died. Ergo, it would seem that many of our numerous superstitions have a basis in some luminary's misfortune. Here are what some famous people seek to avoid or embrace:

FDR -- The number 13

Napoleon -- Black cats

John McCain -- Directly passing salt

Ron Reagan -- Astrology

Hitler -- The number seven

John Wayne -- Hat on the bed

Michael Jordan -- His blue UNC shorts under his Bulls uniform

Obama -- Playing basketball on Election Day

Donald Trump -- Germophobia


But, I really have no superstitions ... knock wood ...

Paradox

If Trump is a modern-day Hitler, why is it that virtually no one in power can throw him a compliment?  All one ever hears is stinging criticism of the Donald. Adolph, on the other hand, was fairly unsullied domestically until 1945.

However, if Trump were to grow a mustache ...

Dilbert Speaks

Scott Adams in his Dilbert blog has just promoted President Trump from der Fuhrer to Mr. Incompetent as a result of his failure to repeal and replace Obamacare ... see: Dilbert Blog. Actually this is not a dis of our president because the Hitler image was pulling Trump down far worse than a Pajama-boy image.

This is an unique Dilbert-like concept but not one that Trump should embrace as it makes his job far more difficult getting done all the things that he has promised ... at least in the short run. Adams is also predicting that Trump will be back on his mojo by year end. But in the meantime, if his opposition no longer fears him, then they likely will move into full-throated ridicule mode ... and no humans are better at ridicule than media types.
