In Defense of Climate Charlatans

Hollywood is closing ranks around its climate charlatans after that liberal punker James O’Keefe (remember his Project Veritas' ACORN videos?) laid them bare in a filmed expose of their two-faced eco-hypocrisy. Red-faced and defensive, Ed Begley Jr., Josh/Rebecca Tickell, and Mariel Hemungway are now threatening to sue and asking for FBI and local law enforcement intervention to punish this secret filming and recording of their perfidy. After you have read all the gorilla dust in this article (see: Hollywood Reporter Story) then please view the video at its end that actually shows these VIPs’ two-facedness. It’s a little long, but it is worth seeing how all this dreck goes down.

Voter Fraud

To the cheaters go the spoils.

We sneer in this country when we see the massive voter fraud in Russia (more votes for Putin in some areas than there were registered voters) or Venezuela (organized voter thuggery).  But we should be careful in our high-mindedness ... for we are rapidly becoming equally corrupt ... so much so that I fear our democracy is in jeopardy.  We have seen the seedy side of "community organizers" in the exposure of ACORN's shenanigans (see: Many Instances).  We have seen local elections in Chicago and Nevada that were clearly rigged.  We have even had nation-wide elections that are suspected of to have been stolen ... JFK's in particular.  Democrats decry George W. Bush's first election as being decided by the U.S. Supreme Court ... but would have been perfectly happy to have it determined by the clearly-biased Florida Supreme Court.

I have recently read a compelling blog that deals with this subject in a plain-talk manner.  May I suggest that you give it a gander.  It's not very long ... see: The Diplomad.  And, if you like this former U.S. diplomat's  (and UCLA graduate's) style, go back from time to time to read his insightful analysis of the world and national situation.  I have a generic link to his blog on this blog.  (He is about to spill the inside poop on Hillary's tenure at Foggy Bottom.)

Back to voter fraud.  This country is overwhelmingly Conservative (see: Gallup Survey), yet Liberals keep winning elections where they probably shouldn't.  There can be few explanations for these inconsistencies other than Democrat-organized voter fraud.  (There might even be some cheating on the part of Republicans ... particularly in the South.  This too is inexcusable.)  Although many citizens understand this is happening, they do nothing.  And, when they do something to stop voter fraud, they are charged with "voter suppression."

This electoral misfeasance is a grievous wrong and needs to be remedied if we have any chance of maintaining our Democratic institutions.  Perhaps a political party might be charged under the federal Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) statutes?  (You know which one I mean.)  Wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air?  Perhaps even, if Romney can win the Presidency this fall (despite expected massive voter fraud), his adiministration might begin the thankless job of cleaning these Aegean stables?  And returning us to a nation that our founding fathers would recognize.

Down We Go

Nixon had the good sense not to contest the 1960 election when it was pretty clear that Texas and Illinois  had been stolen for J.F.K. by L.B.J. and Mayor Daley (in Chicago).  He thought that it would besmirch the election process and this would create future problems.  Al Gore was not so patriotic when, in 2000, he lost in Florida and fought tooth and nail to overturn the results there.  Whether or not you believe that the Supreme Court gave this election to Bush 43, it seems clear that there were sufficient shenanigans on the part of Democrats to suggest that they had tried mightily to subvert the election process.  (It is suspected by many that punch-card ballots were gang-punched for Gore by Democrat inside operatives ... and this is how the hanging chads occurred at the bottom of each stack of punch cards.  Funny how none of the Bush 43 ballots had these same hanging chads?)

I think the resentment rising out of this Supreme Court decision has created a mindset among many Democrats that it is OK to take any questionable measure to insure that your candidate wins.  Witness how it has been recently revealed that one of the major duties of the "community organizers,"  ACORN, was election malfeasance.  I also suggest that Harry Reid's last victory in Nevada and Al Franken's drawn-out dog fight win in Minnesota might well be specific examples of voter fraud.  Now, we see that our Attorney General, Eric Holder, appears to be steering the ship of state into this maelstrom to try to insure a victory for The Barry next year.  See the details of his questionable actions here and here.

To me, it is very disturbing that there are people (mostly Liberals) who believe that a voter does not have to prove his/her identity in order to cast a ballot ... while they are required to do so for something as simple as buying a six-pack of beer.  And the accelerating trend toward motor-voter registrations and massive absentee ballot casting, again IMHO, may cause the election process in this country to become as corrupt as it was in Iraq under Saddam Hussein and how it currently seems to be in Russia.  I think I can hear a number of our august founding fathers gyrating in their sepulchers.

Representation without Taxation

47% of Americans pay no federal income taxes and I would speculate a great many, who work off the books, also pay no FICA taxes either. Yet everyone, including I suspect, many non-citizens get to vote for national representatives who turn around and vote for laws that perpetuate these inequities. (Motor-voter laws, lax voter registration processes … taken advantage by “community organizers” such as ACORN, and the rapid growth of absentee ballot usage are making a mockery of traditional voter-fraud checks.) Thus, we have turned the slogan of the original tea-partiers on its head … now a growing number of people in this country are enjoying “representation without taxation.”

Even in local elections, many who pay absolutely no property taxes get to vote. All colleges and other non-profits nevertheless get to elect their community officials. (In Wellesley, MA, Wellesley College professors and administrators who live in rent-free and property-tax-free housing … and who send their children to local schools … still get to vote for their local candidates. And the colleges and other non-profits themselves enjoy fire/police protection and other community services without having to pay the taxes or, too often, the “fees-in-lieu-of-taxes” needed to pay for these services.) And even more egregiously, students at these institutions of higher learning now get to vote for town administrators where they go to school as opposed to where they (or their parents) actually pay taxes – even though many might also absentee-vote back at “home” too. Such up-side-down logic seems to me to be gross miscarriage of the tenants of our democracy.

“Don’t tread on me,” has unfortunately become “Everyone, who wants to, tread on me.”
