I scratch my head about a flap of a butterfly's wings in Japan causing a hurricane in Florida ... but really ... atmospheric CO2 levels in the United States going from 38 parts per million (ppm) to 40 ppm being the cause of the rampaging of the terrorist group Boko Haram in Nigeria? This is the malarkey that our esteemed leader is spoon feeding to the Coast Guard graduates at their recent commencement ceremony ... see: Yahoo News Story. (This bit of warped logic happened to be coincident with ISIS capturing the city of Ramadi in Iraq ... apparently without the benefit of elevated CO2 levels.)

I suppose that next President Obama is going to tell us that some snapped exercise rubber band is what blinded Harry Reid's right eye?

An Effect of Climate Change

CNBC has posted a slideshow listing 10 countries predicted to be hit hard by climate change …see: CNBC Story, The countries that they tag are the Philippines, Nigeria, Vietnam, Haiti, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Malawi, Fiji, Sudan, and Japan. The effects of climate change listed by these Chicken Little’s are typhoons, hurricanes, cyclones, sea-level rising, flooding, and droughts as well as (guffaw) volcanoes, landslides, earthquakes and decreased tourism.

When I was younger these events (except for decreased tourism) used to be called natural disasters, acts of God, or even forces majeure. Now, the climate alarmists have co-opted these things, labeling them “climate change,” and blaming them all on that evil gas, carbon dioxide … the very same gas that is the primary reason that life on Earth is possible. Without it, we would not be here. And these yoyos have gotten the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to dub this gas a “pollutant.” Excuse me, but they all need to go back to school and re-study their science.

Zipped Lips

Christians are being persecuted all over the Middle East and Africa. Coptic Christians in Egypt have been killed and had their churches burned down by the Muslim Brotherhood. In Nigeria, hundreds of Christian girl students have been kidnapped, raped and worse by the Boko Haram, another radical Muslim sect. In Syria and Iraq, Christians have been threatened with death unless they convert to Islam or emigrate … and there ISIS, the most brutal of Muslims, has taken to crucifying Christians to inflict maximum terror.  Lebanon, once a predominately Arab Christian country, is now controlled by the most brutal Muslims who kill Christians for blood sport.

All this specified genocide and much more is happening all around this region (see: Breitbart Listings) whilst the president of the United States plays golf, attends Democrat fund raisers, and can’t seem to undo the zipper on his lips to utter even the merest of condemning remarks. I can't help but ponder why ...

The Cost of Knowledge

It seems that the Boko Haram army in Nigeria has brutally murdered 59 boys in Nigeria for the sin of seeking an education ... see the details on the: Powerline Blog.

Now, I know that the Christian religion has had its spasms of brutality in the past, but I am perplexed by how much savagery the Muslim religion always seems to tolerate ... if not encourage. I am not only grossed out by these events ... and by the fact that such stories never make the nightly news in this country ... nor are they commented on by our distracted leaders.

Shame on us!
