The Border Muddle Explained

Watch the above video to begin to understand the purposeful muddle that Obama and Congress had made of our border security.  I am quite impressed with Kirsten Nielsen, our head of Homeland Security and how she is dealing with this mare's nest. But make no mistake ... Obama's diabolical policy of "catch and release" was the bureaucratic equivalent of open borders.

Notice how much the assembled reporters resemble a pack of jackals.

Oops!

The United States has mistakingly granted citizenship to well over 800 immigrants who were under order for deportation and who were from "countries of concern" (translation: Muslims). This was due to both subterfuge on these immigrants' part which wasn't caught because Homeland Security lacked fingerprint matching for these fraudsters in its database ... see: Yahoo News Story. But what is even more frightening is the following quote from this Yahoo reference:
[Inspector General] Roth's report said fingerprints are missing from federal databases for as many as 315,000 immigrants with final deportation orders or who are fugitive criminals. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has not reviewed about 148,000 of those immigrants' files to add fingerprints to the digital record.
I have a few questions about these screw-ups: Have we rescinded citizenship for these miscreants? And have we since deported them back to their hellholes? Are we in the process of tightening up these monsterous holes in our immigration systems? (I hope that this is not a rhetorical question.)

It would also seem to me that there is another group that should be added to Trump's list of those slated for immediate deportation were he to be elected -- any immigrants, legal or illegal, who have resorted to fraud in their immigration processing.

ICE Water

President Obummer must have ice water flowing in his veins ... for since 2013 his Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), a division of Homeland Security, has released back into the United States's general population 86,288 illegal aliens who had been tried and convicted of serious crimes ... in blatant contradiction to his oath of office and the laws of our land that require that they be remanded back to their native countries. See: CNS News Story for many of the serious and fatal consequences of this administrative malfeasance.

What cynical hatred of one's country would cause this man-child to govern in such a reckless, punishing and unpatriotic way? Historians will be analyzing this pathology for many years to come ... but my naive take is that there is a well-disguised social-psychosis that drives Obummer to slake a vengeance on his mostly innocent countrymen for some past slights ... either real or imagined. He performs this oily retribution while glibly dancing away from any consequences under the protection of a still adoring media and a cowardly Congress.

Yes, we have had many incompetent presidents in the past ... but Obummer is clearly a first ... as one who is slyly trying to destroy or at least severely damage the very country he is supposed to serve.

Three-Card Monte

President Obama has pulled another fast one ... saying he was signing an executive order recently in Las Vegas allowing up to five million illegal immigrants to avoid deportation ... amnesty if you will ... when he really didn't. Of course this would not have be the first time that he lied to the American people. In fact, his telling the truth would be a bigger news story than his pathological mendacity. If you said that you "changed the law" by signing an executive order, you would think that you would sign an executive order ... not just an ersatz memorandum and a proclamation to make it look like you are doing what you claimed. Can we ever rely on this man not to perform another three-card monte "now you see it now you don't" switcheroo ... see: WND Story.

So Obama didn't sign an executive order, he just grifted the American people and the Republican Party with another sham scam. He actually is relying on his head on Homeland Security to play along with this bunko game as though he had done what he said. Jeh Johnson actually issued a memorandum propounding "prosecutorial discretion" without official presidential authorization which supposedly implements the amnesty that Obama had promised. This way, if Obama is found to have exceeded his executive authority, he can turn over the card and show that it is not the ace. "Ha, ha, fooled ya,!" In other words this executive amnesty is even more unconstitutional than at first blush. Obama has his flunky, Johnson, deflect any future blame ... Johnson is kind of like the shill in the three-card monte crowd.

Of course one result of this misdirection is that possibly millions more Latinos will now make their way into the United States hoping to slip in under this new sham order. Is it possible to have a sleazier, more slippery, less patriotic lowlife as our president? I hope I never see another one so vile, base and corrupt.

Afterward: Here is a follow-up story with more details and verifying the original charge: WND Article.

Nation's Health vs. Wave Election

Clearly this nation is slowly slipping into a possible health-care crisis. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) seems to be botching its job on a daily basis. An emigre from Liberia has come down with Ebola shortly after entering the United States in Dallas. Apparently he had been let go from his job at FedEx and quickly decided to pursue his destiny in the United States ... visiting "immigrant" relatives in Texas. Whether he ever planned to return to Liberia will never be revealed, but my guess is clearly no. Unfortunately  before he left Liberia he helped carry a pregnant woman by one leg who was dying of Ebola ... and, in the process, contracted the disease. And now he has, because of a inattentive emergency room worker, possibly passed this dreaded disease on to untold Texans of all ages and stripes.

The issue that I would like to address here is why do we now face this possible health-care crisis? If this disease ... which our fearless leader vehemently said was not a threat within our shores ... does indeed cause much misery and even death in our country, then I believe that it will be because there have been numerous failings on the part of our government. What are they?

1) We, unlike Great Britain and France, have not stopped all flights into the U.S from the hotbeds of this Ebola outbreak in West Africa. One can speculate about the reasons for this lapse, but I believe that political correctness ... and our president's roots ... are at the head of this list.

2) The Center for Disease Control has clearly dropped the ball in this skirmish. Why have they not issued and enforced strict guidelines for dealing with possible cases of Ebola? Due diligence by them might have prevented the emergency room lapse that was the nexus of of current problems. I also believe that CDC is showing management problems like many other of Obama's fiefdoms ... the IRS, the Justice Department, the Bureau of Veteran's Affairs, the Secret Service, and the Department of Homeland Security.

One more management lapse for Obama is clearly too many at this time in the election cycle. For example, the CDC also had allowed a three-times convicted felon to be used as a security guard when the president visited there in September. Yes the Secret Service was primarily at fault, but doesn't the CDC also due background checks?

3) The Obama administration is attempting to use immigration reform as a wedge issue in the upcoming November elections. The fact that our porous borders may be causing a national health emergency (or emergencies since there are other health problems manifesting themselves due to this summer's influx of thousands of unscreened illegal immigrants from Central America) can not help to embellish the story that the Obama administration is attempting to peddle. Any voter with a modicum of sense will see that our government may be putting our nation at risk for its own political gain.

I sincerely hope that the CDC is right and that it has its arms around this current Ebola problem. But, if it doesn't ... watch out for the wave!

Screw Job #3

This blog entry started out as a recognition of another screw job on the American public as a result of the $43 billion spending sequestration that took effect on March 1st.  Homeland Security chief, Janet Napolitano seems to be in the vanguard of sticking it to the U.S. public … first by releasing thousands of illegal immigrant criminals (see: Screw Job #1) and now by cutting back on TSA agents at key airports (see: Nattering Napolitano).  As I read this article, I thought to myself, “Wait a minute, furloughing TSA agents won’t do anything to save money.  Furloughed workers will still be paid their lost salaries when they return to work.”  In other words, accrued expenses should still be counted against what the government spends … no?

This led me to the bigger question … and the much, much bigger screw job when I researched the subject of whether our government accounting is run on an accrual or cash basis.  As it turns out, like many other things in our dysfunctional Washington, it depends … see the following reference on this subject: Accounting Smart Pros.  When asked this question our ever-alert government bureaucrat responded,
"I don't think there's a way to answer that question in such a broad sense of the term," she said. "For any given report, it depends. There are reports that refer to obligations made or funds that have actually been paid out. The question depends on which line (of the budget) you're referring to, basically."
What?  Are we nuts?  If any company or individual mixed accounting methods, the IRS would put them on the CPA rack and then send them to Leavenworth for the rest of their natural lives.  See this comment from the previous reference:
It's the kind of answer that seems to upset many economists and politicians. Just last March, Rep. Todd Platts, R-Pa., and chairman of the House's Government Organization Subcommittee, held hearings to see why the real 2010 federal deficit was possibly $800 billion more than the $1.3 trillion reported. One reason they investigated: The government still mixes the two accounting methods, which may produce a rosier bottom line.
So, now we see that even the officially published numbers for the deficits we have been running up are suspect.  Depending on the trustworthiness of our various government agencies, we may be much further under financial water than we have been led to believe.  So now I ask the $64 trillion question … do we trust our government agencies not to cook the books?  I think I smell some acrid smoke and hear the alarm bells going off ...

Are We Nuts?

Whilst perusing the Homeland Security website here, I came across the fact that, in 2009, the United States granted permanent residency status to these numbers of immigrants from the following countries:

Pakistan         21,555
Iran                 18,553
Somalia          13,390
Iraq                  12,111
Venezuela      11,154
Afghanistan     3,165
Yemen               3.134
Syria                   2,442
Saudi Arabia    1,418
North Korea          67

We even granted permanent residency status to 1,366 people whose former country was unknown.  I don't know about you, but this doesn't make me feel very homeland secure. And given what has happened recently with the Times Square bomber being a recently naturalized U.S. citizen from Pakistan, the obvious question comes to mind for Janet Napolitano: Are we cuckoo-pie nuts?

P.S., for those who believe that we are not doing enough to help our impoverished southern neighbor, we issued 164,920 green cards to Mexicans in 2009.
