Our founding fathers were brilliant with their concept of “federalism” ... dispersing some powers away from our central government to the states ... saving us from the possibility of a dictatorial president and a looney-tunes Congress.
However, what they couldn’t have imagined was that we could ever have so many martinet state governors and nutso state legislatures.

But they did realize we could have a lunatic president and wrote provisions to deal with that. Too bad all your republican do-nothing legislators are too scared of him to apply the necessary curbs. The voters will have their say. You side is down to 33 percent. Yet you continue to take the kool aide.
