Obvious Truth

A police force that is forbidden from exercising soft authority, even hard authority when required to keep the peace, is not a police force ... it’s a Cub Scout troop. And those who automatically equate the exercise of authority with Fascism are not just gullible ... they are criminally naive.

Back in the day, before Rudy Juliani went wacko, I applauded the use of force to clean-up the streets of NYC. Used judiciously, stop and frisk is an effective police tactic.
I would love to think that Trump wants to rid the streets of crime to make them safer, but I've come to mistrust anything he says.
I don't think someone can be indicted for being naive; if so, there would be a lot of MAGAs lawyering-up.

I would think that naive mayors of Portland, Seattle and Chicago could be indicted for violating their oaths of office ... and encouraging insurrection ... no?
