Psychological Warfare

Scott Adams of Dilbert fame, I think has it right -- calling terrorists "terrorists" reinforces their self worth since that is what they are trying to evoke -- terror. And also calling them "cowards" just slides off their backs because they deem themselves heroes for Allah ... see: Dilbert Blog.

Scott Adams rather likes Trump's term "losers" since it is true negative reinforcement for such scumbags ... particularly when their caliphate suffers another loss on the battlefield. And Dilbert's drawer also would like Muslim religious poobahs to disabuse their flocks that 72 virgins await them in heaven for their martyrdom. If they thought that killing innocents guaranteed them an eternity in Hell (without any nookie), they might have second thoughts about their diabolical plans.

I agree on both counts ... and believe that more psychological warfare along these lines might save the U.S. many lives and much treasure.

Call them DAESH. Depending on how it is conjugated in Arabic, it can mean anything from ‘to trample down and crush’ to ‘a bigot who imposes his view on others.’”

In light of its more unsavory connotations, ISIS leaders threatened last June “to cut the tongue of anyone who publicly used the acronym Daesh, instead of referring to the group by its full name.”
