Presser

I have to confess ... I'm not a slobbering fan of President Trump's style ... like he often displayed in his press conference yesterday  ... just like I never was a fan of reality TV. (And Trump is the personification of reality TV.) But I am a big fan of what Trump is doing ... like what he summarized at beginning of this presser. If you have over an hour, watch: VIDEO: SEE IT ALL In general, with a very few exceptions, Trump is doing courageous combat against the alt-Left, the fake news media, our real enemies abroad, and even his own party's establishment ... in order to tell the difficult truths and correct decades of creeping corrosive chimeras (aka, agenda-driven fantasies).

This presidential news conference made big news not necessarily because of what he said but rather because of Trump's performance. Rush Limbaugh said that it "was one of the most effective press conferences I have ever seen." And, I suspect, that the majority of viewing Americans felt the same way. Yes, he, like always, engaged in hyperbole (LIES to the left), he eviscerated the lefty media (but he did take questions from them), he took most of his shots from the hip (without major flubs but lots of media hysteria), and bragged about his accomplishments (despite his Deep State problems).

So, we have passed through a portal into a new reality ... a reality where many of our old assumption no longer hold. President Trump's world is not as many in the main stream media want it to be. And so they, and many of Obama's acolytes look forward to the next four years like a trip to the dentist. Therefore they resist, at their peril, with brickbats, fake news and disloyalty.

If the progs want to change Trump, they better start by changing vast swaths of America outside of both coasts ... before, that is, Trump changes the coasts.

Sorry, I couldn't let this go unchallenged. And most of the country is laughing at him today. First of all, Rush Limbaugh is totally unhinged. Bad idea to get on the boat with him. Second, the presser was filled with lies, and third many remarks were anti-semitic and racist. He is good rebuttal. Worth the read if you want to know what went on.https://mic.com/articles/168888/here-are-the-5-biggest-lies-from-donald-trump-s-bizarre-press-conference#.jufqcHAFE

Yes, 306 wasn't the biggest electoral margin. Maybe not a white lie, but not "you can keep your doctor." Please specify the racist and anti-Semitic comments ... I saw none.

There you go again... I expected jobs, fencing, better healthcare, and draining of the swamp. No so much "courageous combat against the alt-Left, the fake news media, our real enemies abroad, and even his own party's establishment." Why does DJT keep bringing up votes that were stolen from him and MA people busing to NH to vote? He won! What's with Goldman Sachs leading the financial roles? Will they drain the swamp?

If DJT would STOP focusing on "the alt-Left, the fake news media, our real enemies abroad, and even his own party's establishment", he might actually move the ball down field.

It's just been 3 1/2 weeks. Is he supposed to reverse the rotation of the Earth, like Superman, in order to cram more into such a short time span? It took Obama 8 years to create the mess we are in ... I suspect it might take Trump a few years to fix things. He does sometimes get stuck in egotistical eddies, but still has his eye on the big issues. Give him a modicum of latitude and see.

Seemed to me that Obama spent 8 years getting us out of the sinkhole the last GOP administration dug. At that, against a GOP congress so constipated all those years that it cannot seem to do much to advance things.

You know as well as I that the hole that Obama inherited was a legacy of Barney Frank/Chris Dodd, Fannie Mae, Credit rating agencies and the Wall Street mortgage backed securities creators. Yes, Bush and the Republucan should have put a stop to this travesty ... and they didn't so they do have some blame.
And Obama had both branches of Congress for four years ... still the Reid/Pelosi tag team refused to allow debate or amendments to the little legislation that got passed. Although Ryan and McConnel are Rinos, they still will get more rational stuff done.
