A Tiger's Stripes

I know that I and a whole lot of other people wish that President Trump would be a tad more refined and circumspect now that he is in office. If it weren't for his understanding of our country's mood and the people he is surrounding himself with, I would be a lot more concerned with this flaw. But he has done two things recently that have made me swallow hard.

Number one was his attack on Nordstrom's for the dropping of his daughter, Ivanka's  line of designer clothes ... and two was his round-about attack on the judiciary for their blocking of his partial and temporary immigration ban order. In this second instance, I agree with what he said, I just don't think he should have said it. Even his Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, has said he was demoralized by Trump's actions ... see: CNBC Story (which actually might help him get confirmed!)

And the attack on Nordstrom's has pulled the scab off of his conflict of interest between his corporate and government interests. Such conflicts, if not studiously avoided could cause him much heartache and many distractions.  He needs to be overly careful here, yet he has already slipped.

Trump too often makes me remember that old saw that you can't make a tiger change his stripes

When are you going to give in and realize your idol is just plain stupid. He is not virtuous. He is not wise. He is not a leader. He is mean, untruthful, dangerous and a menace to this society and the world. Do not help push his little engine over the hill. You just diminish all the good you have done in your lifetime. You are better than that.

All Ivanka's products are made in China or Vietnam. She intends to move manufacturing to Africa to get lower labor costs... than China. MAGA!! Make Africa Great. Amen.

You can put lipstick on a buffoon but you can't teach it to sing on key.
