Cross Examination

The judge in the General Michael Flynn case, Emmett Sullivan, has gone to extraordinary lengths not to let this case die ... as the Justice Department and the DC District Court have decreed ... see the following for the very unusual steps he has taken: FoxNews Story. Judge Sullivan has even, early-on in this case, called General Flynn a “traitor” in open court ... for which he later apologized ... but in which he still must believe ... else why his recent malign behavior?

Somehow, I strongly suspect Judge Sullivan has learned, maybe from Flynn’s original attorneys, Covington, a piece of extraordinarily damaging “information” about the general ... and firmly believes it ... possibly the same fact or facts  behind what President Obama warned Trump about Flynn ... and, the details of which, have been denied to Trump, Flynn’s current attorney, Sidney Powell or the DC Circuit Court.

Whatever this sub rosa indictment of Flynn might be, it needs to be brought out into the open so that we all can gauge Flynn’s innocence or guilt ... and not rely on the prejudice of a single judge who is sworn to be above such rumored pettiness.

My suspicion — this “heinous act” by Flynn has not been revealed because it would not stand cross examination. This is not the way justice is supposed to work. The Constitution says we all have the “right to confront our accuser.”

So What ...

Michael Cohen will do his level best to eviscerate President Trump in public House Oversight Committee hearings today. He will use every card in the Democrat deck ... Trump is a liar, a racist, a cheat, a con man, a misogynist and a traitor ... in other words, there is a rail, a vat of hot tar and a pillow-full of of feathers that needs to be used on this man as soon as he returns from Hanoi ... where he is doing his level best to eliminate North Korea’s threat to unleash a nuclear winter.

Obviously it is not coincidental that the House Democrats are trying to rain on Trump’s Vietnam parade. Politics is politics after all. And it is also fairly obvious that a man facing three years in prison for, among other things, lying to Congress ... might abandon his vow to take a bullet for Trump. Instead, he is doing his damnedest to shoot Trump clear through the heart. Somehow this dramatic U-turn on Cohen’s part does not put a shine on his character.

But, you know what? I don’t think that Cohen’s open-hearing mud balls will have the expected effect on Trump. I could be wrong, but I think most Trump supporters (not loyalists) understand our president’s foibles ... and, although not happy about them, still appreciate that there are far bigger things at stake here. If Trump can keep us from being vaporized by nukes from any adversary, we can overlook a payoff to a porn star. To me, so what ... it is the Democrats and Cohen who are appearing the most sullied in this whole sordid sideshow.

More Outrage

Cultivating outrage is likely another part of President Obama's cynical strategy to transform America ... so now we have been served up another packaged outrage ... the nuclear agreement that "Christmas in Cambodia" Kerry negotiated with the Iranians has a obscure clause that states that the United States will protect Iranian nuclear sites from sabotage or attack by any foreign power, e.g., Israel or even possibly Saudi Arabia (if it only had the guts) ... see: The Gateway Pundit Story.

In the past it was reported that Obama had stopped Israel from an attack against Iran ... see: The Daily Mail Article ... a revelation that was hotly denied by the administration. Now, it seems likely that, because of this obscure clause, this past outrage against Israel probably was true. How perfidious can Obama be?

This blog contains but a few weak words in an Internet full of trillions of bold news and opinion words ... so it is very unlikely that it's opinion will mean but a fart in a hurricane in the course of human events. But if and most likely when the real ramifications of this administration's Iranian subterfuge becomes clear as a result of future events ... I hope and pray that history gives our current mocking martinet in the White House his realistic due ... and remembers him as the traitor to American core values he most certainly is.

Homesick

That snively traitor and pop-hero, Edward Snowden, apparently is homesick and would like to return to the United States from his exile in Russia ... see: New York Times Story. He is currently negotiating through his Russian lawyer with the U.S. authorities as to the terms of his return.

Knowing what bad deal makers the Obama administration is, I would not doubt that he is holding out to get his old job back at the NSA.

Our Hero

Starry-eyed and fuzzy-brained leftists have extolled Edward Snowden’s patriotism in his leaking of information about the extent of the NSA surveillance program.  What they have conveniently ignored is that snow-job Snowden compromised enormous amounts of non-NSA secrets that has sent U.S. intelligence agencies into a deep funk … and given Russia and China a huge leg-up in international hegemony. 

Yesterday the House Armed Services Committee was given a briefing about the length and breadth of Snowden's perfidy … and they were shocked and angered as a result … see: PJ Media Piece. These Representatives would and could not give the specifics of what they learned in this briefing, but it was clearly devastating.

 I have in the past written about the fallacy of not understanding that Snowden could be both a hero and a traitor at the same time … see: Excluded Middle Commentary.  So to establish a modicum of justice in this international kerfuffle, may I make the following suggestion?  Right after Snowden receives his Nobel Peace Prize (a good bet), I suggest that he be led, to the beat of a muffled drummer, to a thick brick wall to receive his reward from the U.S. security agencies … about one pound of hot lead into his being … possibly with all his third-column accomplices being forced in shackles to witness same.
