The James Webb Space Telescope has reached its parking orbit, fully unfolded its heat shields and reached its required temperature for operation … its “pinch point” (below 7 degrees Kelvin.) It is now ready to enter the calibration phase … see: NASA Web Site. This should take a few more months before we can view back to within a few hundred million years after the Big Bang.
So far, so good … keep your fingers and toes crossed.
