Pandemic Pragmatism

My granddaughter, unvaccinated because she is under the age of 12, had
a slight fever one day after a trip down south. A few days later in order to go to summer camp, she took a Covid test. She tested positive. And now again  in a follow-up test.

Her unvaccinated good friend also had a slight fever at the same time. She recently tested negative for Covid.

My under-12 granddaughter’s twin sister, having no symptoms, also tested negative … also just recently a second negative one.

My vaccinated daughter, the mother of the twins has not shown any symptoms and has very recently tested negative …  twice.

My fully-vaccinated wife, who has been suffering all the symptoms of Covid … like a bad Summer cold … has strangely also tested negative.

I, also fully  vaccinated, have shown no symptoms and therefore have not been tested.

This is a complicated decision tree. What is the correct course of action? Take the regimented approach and quarantine everyone for two weeks? Or, use common sense and quarantine the only sick one for two weeks after he first slight fever? (Why not 12 days … or 16 days?)

STAND UP FOR PRAGMATICS!
