False choice.
I would rephrase the question: Is it better to be well-regarded as a trustworthy partner nation by other world powers or to be seen as an uninformed schoolyard bully who keeps yelling "Me first!" ?
You're right. Many world leaders loved Obama, I think, because he didn't think Americal was exceptional. But they now respect Trump because he does ... and he is willing to lead from in front. That is. except the (western) Eurotrash.
Please fill me in on how you know this ... or are you taking your cues from CNN?
