E.T.

An extraterrestrial was sent to Earth on last February first as an emissary from the Council of Worlds to decide if the Earth was to be invited for membership. After a short period changing its appearance and learning all the languages, it spent its remaining time visiting most of the inhabited areas of this globe ... but concentrating on the biggest economic power, the United States.

This information gatherer found multiple forgeries in all disciplines painted over to appear as masterpieces ... while actual truths were being ridiculed into submission. It uncovered prancing hypocrisy, preening vanity, indulgent lust, ostentatious wealth, manufactured realities, rampant crime, self-serving politicians, unscientific science and a destructive media.

After six Earth months, it left this morning on the UFO trolley to go back and file its report ... shedding green tears and shaking its head in disbelief.

STAND UP FOR AMERICA!

Obviious Truth

Epidemiology is the most unscientific science next to climatology ... both being only slightly better than alchemy. — Anon.

Quite Interesting

From daily timewaster blog

Best to base all scientific conclusions on clear, hard evidence like this. I can’t find a meteor impact or volcanic eruption about this epoch, but something happened. To place this dramatic event in the timeline of human history, see: Wikipedia Entry.

Reality

Science is all about discovering reality, whereas religion is all about creating reality. -- Anon.

Three Wishes

What would I wish for if a (Muslim?) Genie were to give me three wishes?

1) Grant the world a complete understanding of the science of our life experience -- Earth's likely future?, life elsewhere in the Universe?, human population limits?, complete understanding of photosynthesis?, limits of human lifespan?, disease cures?, future of fusion as an energy source?, can man inhabit other worlds?, how magnetism works?, how gravity works?, is the speed of light the limit of speed?,  parallel universes?, worm holes?, existence of an afterlife?, the ultimate in subatomic particles?, etc., etc.

2) Cause a glorious Renaissance in the (non-political) arts that lasts throughout eternity.

3) Make all the bad actors in the world forever decide it makes no sense to wage war. The only competition allowed would be mercantilism and non-lethal sports contests.

3.5) Make me, all my family and all my friends (and this blog's readers)  as wealthy as we want to be and as healthy as we need be.

3.75) Bring the Clinton crime family to justice.

Science

True science can accomplish miracles.  As a perfect example of this, witness the above pictures of the arrangements of the atoms in various molecules (from the "riddit" website).  These pictures were taken with an electronic microscope and show the atomic topology and chemical bonds (covalent, ionic, etc.) that actually exist in these molecular structures.

The drawings that appear next to these pictures were the theoretical topologies and bonds that scientists had determined decades before these pictures actually existed! Science clearly hit the nail right on the head through a series of prior experiments and inferences ... much like Watson and Crick did in determining the structure of DNA.

Too bad that many of our world's climate "scientists" are not quite so perspicacious.
