Mr. Sincerity

“Sincerity —  if you can fake that, you got it made.” — George Burns

President Biden gave a nearly flawless delivery for twenty minutes last night ... oozing sincerity ... dealing with our Covid crisis and the vaccines rollout. It was an acceptable performance to the disappointment of many ... including myself.

However, the content was less than fine in at least three aspects:

- He painted himself as the vaccine hero ... neglecting to acknowledge Operation Warpspeed or Trump’s success with vaccine rollouts. Is this an effort at uniting us as he has sincerely promised?

- Although he lamented the suffering Americans have endured during this Covid pandemic, he chose not to blame China. In fact, he went the other direction and blamed Americans for anti-Asian bias ... shades of Obama’s Muslim apologies after each terrorist incident.

- And lastly, Biden took a paternalistic tone about how much and when vaccinated people can relax the Fauci strictures ... neglecting to mention the hoards of infected illegal aliens he is foisting on us from our southern border. Come on man! We are adults and you aren’t!

So, he gets an A on style points and a D- on content. But I still marvel at how his handlers can prep him for such a performance when, off script, Mr. Sincerity is a basket case.
