He was a despicable human being. If there was a hell, I would consign him to it for eternity.
Why?
That judgement is a bit harsh.
I was always a bit surprised that Rush never ran for high office. He certainly had a base of about 30 million devotees. But he always deferred saying that he was just an entertainer.
He didn't foment hatred as some in the liberal media are claiming. He brilliantly tapped into the strong negative feelings and fears that many conservatives felt about government and political correctness. I thought he had a diabolical sense of humor.
Will Trump try to fill his shoes? I don't think he has the talent to be entertaining.
