This frenzy to erase all vestiges of the Confederate States' legacy is picking up steam after South Carolina removed the Stars and Bars flag from the state capital grounds. To me this iconoclastic fury reminds me of the recent tragic historic site destructions by ISIS taking place in Syria and Iraq ... or of a jilted lover feverishly vandalizing his/her former mate's possessions.
What is next on our rabid Northerners' chopping block ... in order to attain national thought purity ... Dixie Cups?
