Change

Barack Obama promised “hope and change” when he ran for president. Once elected, he did institute change ... lots of change ... change that favored immigrants, the greenies, China, Russia, the Ukraine, Muslim countries and those south of the US border. But never came through with the “hope” part. When Trump took over, he too has changed things ... mostly by reversing those damaging Democrat policies.

So why were Obama’s changes so readily accepted and Trump’s so vehemently resisted?

May I suggest that Obama’s changes advantaged those above-noted third parties while disadvantaging the unaware American middle class. Trump’s changes have mostly reversed these Obama wealth and hegemony flows.

And the resisters to this change are the environmentalists, globalists, media, Deep State and some foreign governments ... all whom had benefitted under Obama’s reign.

Middle Americans sense this u-turn and the resulting relief to their political frustrations. This is why Trump’s rallies are overflowing and why he will likely be re-elected with a larger electoral margin than he received in 2016. Americans will not be whipsawed once again with re-heated Democrat give-aways.

Green Dreams

John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog has punctured the ballon of the greenies who want wind and solar energy to replace fossil fuel electricity production ... see: Green Energy Pipe Dreams. Read and be informed.

Both California and Hawaii have committed their states to this chimera which any rational analysis will show cannot occur ... not even close. This red herring will cost both these states tremendous financial pain and social disruption. To summarize, this is because these technologies cannot supply power on a windless night ... and battery technology cannot fill in the void.

However, there is one way for any state to go totally green ... nuclear power plants. But clearly this is heretical to the Green religion but so it ain't gonna happen.

Balloons

Every time the greenies win a battle to circumvent our lives, it only emboldens them to up the ante and try to suppress another of life's small  pleasures. Last month it was plastic straws which wave been outlawed in many of their bailiwicks ... so now they are going after balloons ... which somehow are killing sea turtles and other aquatic life. See:  Money Magazine Article. Now it would seem to this observer that the only rubber balloons that could possible get in the ocean are escape helium-filled ones ... maybe 1 in a hundred. Otherwise, it's landfill for the rest.

However, there is another type of balloon that is much more wisely to be in our waters ... condoms. When I used to row crew on the Potomac and other rivers, we saw hundreds of them floating by ... we called them "white  fish." These prophylactics are far more damaging to our environment ... and yet you cam pick them up for free at many high schools and Plan need Parenthood clinics.

Let's see the tree huggers try to ban condoms ...
