Quotable Quote

It is reasonable that everyone who asks justice should do justice. — Thomas Jefferson

(A principle currently in disrepair with the likes of ANTIFA and BLM.)

No More Heroes

Fascists protesting Fascism

For some stupid reason we are killing off all our heroes. That great general, Robert E. Lee, is now no more ... because he tried so nobly and effectively to defend his culture. John Wayne who stood so tall as a proud American is now brought down by an old interview in Playboy magazine. Richard Nixon who saved thousands of American lives by pulling off the impossible ... extracting us from the war in Vietnam  ... is vilified like few others for trying to cover for the petty crimes of his subordinates.

Many of our young bubbleheads are now trying to erase George Washington, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson’s names from our monuments, locales and universities because they owned slaves ... forgetting that these men put their own lives on the line to save the future of all of their countrymen, slaves included. Even that great emancipator, Abraham Lincoln, is now under fire by our snowflakes for not making reform happen at an impossible pace.

For our current bevy of cowardly iconoclasts, please be put on notice ... before you try to pull down any more of our verified heroes ... please first show yourselves to have some noble qualities ... instead of hiding behind insipid slogans and milksop masks.

Inflection Point

Martin Luther King Jr. was a bit of a bounder. There are numerous salacious stories of his behavior off the pulpit. So why do we celebrate this man today? Simple ... his "I have a dream" speech was an inflection point between when this country was majority racist against blacks and when we weren't. Yes I agree that racism did not and will not totally disappear from America ... just that the tide had changed against this societal poison -- prejudice against blacks. The proof being that we have since elected an African-American twice to our highest office.

This forgiveness of past bad behavior by Americans is not unique to MLK Jr. We have often looked past dalliances by other of our heroes -- JFK, LBJ, FDR, Thomas Jefferson, DDE and many, if not most, of our past leaders ... except lusting onl in his mind ... Jimmy Carter. The reason for such myopia is that the sum total of the good that these men did far outweighed their misconduct.

There, of course is one major exception. Much of America refuses to recognize any of the positive results from our current president's short tenure. Instead there is a fixation in the media about his negatives -- two scoops of ice cream, Stormy Daniels, his exaggerations, long neckties, etc. Will Trump ever be given the same latitude as many of our past less-than-perfect leaders, like the man whose birthday we celebrate today? He clearly is striving mightily to create an inflection point between the decline of America and a return to our historic greatness ... with large portions of this country undermining these efforts at every step.

History will tell ... but it will be a serious number of years hence.

King Barack

Government is a lot more efficient when you can ignore the will of the people.  The Dream Act was introduced over 12 years ago as an attempt to solve our illegal immigrant problems (see: Wikipedia  Entry).  Congress was deluged with complaints that this was an amnesty program and eventually had to abandon this legislation.  Now with the stroke of a pen, “President” Obama has circumvented this country’s Constitutional process and has executive-ordered many of the tenants of this deep-sixed law into effect.  Yesterday, this ukase was implemented around the country to an overwhelming reception from hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of those who have, until now, been living in the shadows (see: AP Story and NBC Chicago Story).

Independent of the charity arguments surrounding our tsar of tsar’s action, Obama has clearly and cleverly ignored the legal protocols that have been in place since our country’s founding. He is thumbing his nose at Madison and Jefferson and that great document they crafted.  And why is there not a hew and cry from Republicans?  Because they are unfortunately realistic … and know that many Hispanics would been even more inclined to vote against them in November.  And, to politicians, getting elected usually comes before all other considerations.

But my question is: Is it not also realistic to assume that a large percentage of these newly documented immigrants will also vote against Republicans … despite all laws to the contrary? And, if this travesty of justice does grease the skids for Obama’s re-election, will his highness not take even grosser liberties with that manuscript for which he once was a college lecturer?
