Truth over Facts

Massachusetts Statistics

Just heard, on local talk radio, John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog taking about COVID-19 death rates here in Massachusetts ... so I had to go look at the data he was referring to ... here it is: The Models Were Wrong, Does Anyone Care?

Are we in the midst of a mass hysteria being driven by us old farts?

Afterthought: If nobody under the age of 19 has died in Massachusetts, why have we closed all our schools?

Schiff Hits the Fan

Rep. Adam Schiff is conducting as unfair an “impeachment inquiry” process as he can get away with ... see: JohnHinderaker’s Take. Dear reader, please read this op-ed with an open mind.

And how can he get away with playing the Lord High Executioner? Because America’s media and Nancy Pelosi want him to ... no other reason.

History will shed a tear ...

Powerline

John Hinderaker has a post about the futility of a green energy economy in, appropriately, his Powerline blog ... see: Batteries: a Forlorn Hope ... be sure to watch the video. If the greenies reject out of hand nuclear power generation, their dream of a fossil-fuel-free economy will never come about. Hear that Angela? She must be as detached from reality as Joe ... and Elon ... although I think Elon knows he is ... he is just playing the greenies for suckers.

Silly Science

John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog points out one possible reason for the failure of many climate models to correctly predict the effect of CO2 on any warming of our Earth’s atmosphere. In particular, many climate “scientists” have assumed that this relationship is linear when, in fact, it is logarithmic ... see: Powerline Post.

OK, this makes sense. But let me add my own skeptical note. Our Earth’s warming or cooling is most certainly affected by a large number of variables ... some yet undiscovered. For scientists to focus on one single variable, CO2, because it might possibly be controllable by man and therefore must be the culprit ... is not just scientifically silly, it is dangerous.

And until such time as our current crop of unscientific scientists can build multivariate models that can accurately reproduce how our Earth has transitioned between cooling (ice ages) and warming periods with acceptable accuracy, I will continue to express my disdain for this bunch of climate charlatans.

Justice Explained

Like many, I had no idea who Brett Kavanaugh is ... or what the back story was on his selection by Trump as the next Supreme Court Justice. So I turned to my favorite legal source, John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog. You might benefit from his insights too. See:  Hinderaker's Take. Bottom line ... Kavanaugh looks more like Justice Kennedy than Justice Gorsuch ... even John McCain likes him.

This, of course, doesn't stop the attack chihuahuas on the left from demonstrating outside the Supreme Court building. Do they have nothing else to do with their empty vitriolic lives?

Counter Intelligence

It increasingly appears that President Obama had politicized our three major intelligence agencies -- the FBI, the CIA and the NSA  -- and these agencies were actively engaged in trying to defeat Donald Trump in his bid to be elected president ... and, once elected, to delegitimize his presidency. John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog has done a very effective job of proving this unnerving charge ... read: his arguments HERE. Take the time to study it. It's important.

These revelations sent chills up my spine as they should for any American who cares for the dignity and integrity of our government. Yes, politicians often cut corners to stay in power. But the scope and sheer magnitude of what has been occurring for the last 18 months goes well beyond political gamesmanship ... and into the realm of nasty criminality.

Our intelligence agencies have sometimes served us poorly in the past ...in that they have been diverted from their primary task of "intelligence" and into political dog fights. Once these agencies start behaving in public like partisan hacks ... like they did under B.H.O. (and to some degree under other presidents) ... then they have been compromised to the point of diminished effectiveness in their primary duties ... for which the U.S. is bound to have paid a price. These agencies should rarely be publically seen or heard ... and mever as political.

Let's face it, with all their resources, intrigue and subterfuge, they still couldn't even get Hillary elected ...
