Ashes to Ashes

Harry, Gertrude’s husband of 20 years suddenly died. She had him cremated and put the urn of his ashes on the mantel.

After about a year, Gertrude decided to start dating again. She found a potential swain on-line and arranged for an evening out.

When this date came to pick her up he was smoking a cigar. Since she was upstairs not quite ready, he waited in the living room … and looking for a place to flick his cigar ashes, he chose the urn on the mantel.

When Gertrude came down to leave on her darte, she first went over to say goodbye to her departed husband’s urn.

She was a little taken aback and said, “Harry, you’ve been putting on some weight!”

STAND UP FOR THE FAR SIDE!
