The “Peter Principle” says that people are promoted to their level of relative incompetence. Now we have the new “Kamala Canon” where people keep moving into more important roles until they’re actually asked to do something.
Afterthought: If Kamala never does anything, she can never get anything wrong.

I thought that was the Pence Principal, firmly in place after the photo op that showed Mike at NASA touching the posted sign that said "DO NOT TOUCH".

Pence took over from the legendary Veeps Dan Quayle and Spiro Agnew. We nearly had Sarah Palin as Veep. You balance the ticket and then sit on high in the Senate waiting for a chance to make a tie breaker vote.
Let me get this straight … all Republican veeps were born of the devil? But Dems are just put upon? Right?
Not born of the devil. A combo of stupid and criminal. Some not all. I take exception with Nixon who really did some great things as POTUS but got caught up in covering up what was really not a big deal (through the modern lens.) Cheney expanded the role of VP to the point where he was simply making very impactful decisions.
Cheney was Nancy Pelosi with a penis.
