And?

Last night Obama gave his State of the Union Address (see: State of the Union Address).  Although I have only heard a few excerpts, I did notice the following quote this morning, "We live and do business in the Information Age, but the last major reorganization of the government happened in the age of black-and-white TV. There are 12 different agencies that deal with exports. There are at least five different agencies that deal with housing policy."

Unfortunately, he then didn't then call for the consolidation of these federal agencies into just three or four.  How about it House member, Paul Ryan ... can you propose this in your new government cost-cutting measures?  I don't think, given what he just said, President Obama can seriously object.

Mr. Anonymous, Please reread: "Unfortunately, he then didn't then call for the consolidation of these federal agencies into just three or four."

Obama should be fired for creating all those redundant agencies "on his watch"!

DEN,
Are you implying that, because he didn't create these agencies, he needs not streamline them? By the bye, the Department of Education has doubled its budget in the last year (from $80 billion to $160 billion ... and it educates not one child). Do you think that there might be a little redundancy there?

Well, I didn't hear you criticizing the previous admin for not consolodating them, so just sayin' maybe you should give him some specific suggestions as to where and who to cut.
By the bye, Tutors should volunteer their time for free instead of charging - even when the kid doesn't show up.

In 2008 (G.W.B.'s last year in office) the U.S. federal deficit was 3.2% of GNP. Last year (2010) it was 10.6% of GNP. This is a distinction of which even true-blue liberals should take notice ... once the scales have fallen from their eyes.

And...you think pedantic rhetoric will cause scales to fall? BTW, I think Boehner makes a better background than Pelosi during SOTU. I was suprised that he didn't start sobbing at the phrase "Win the future."

And now I am a pedant? I thought that you once said that only liberals were smart ... WTF!
